PrivacyHawk is a useful app for anyone looking to reduce how much of their personal data is floating around online. After connecting my email, it quickly identified over 800 companies with access to my information, some of which I hadn’t interacted with in years.

The process of requesting data removal is simple, and the app handles most of the follow-up. I noticed a decrease in spam and robocalls not long after using it, which was a nice bonus.

That said, it’s not a magic wand. Some companies are slow to respond, and a few didn’t comply at all. But having PrivacyHawk in my corner definitely made managing my digital footprint easier than doing it manually.
