Two days wasted.. just go to we buy any car.

Initial carwow valuation was £4700. They called me and we went through the pictures, condition, and history etc etc which was EXACTLY as i had already described. Valuation was dropped to £4300 no reason at all!. It went to auction with a guide price of £4900 but only recieved 6 offers! Top offer was £4338.

The whole thing is just a load of bull! And a waste of time. Unless you are happy to take a lowball dealer offer just go to a competetor and sell without all the faff of uploading pictures and phone calls etc. All this auction rubbish is just a hard sell to get your buisness by looking different to the rest.

Our initial valuation is based on market trends and the details provided, but once we receive the full information—including images and condition notes—our team may adjust the valuation to better reflect what the dealers are likely to offer. We aim to be as transparent as possible throughout that process.

As for the auction, we work with a wide network of trusted dealers who place real offers based on current demand and vehicle condition. While six offers might not seem like much, these are genuine bids from dealers looking to purchase the car, not automated pricing tools. That said, we’re sorry the process didn’t deliver the results you expected, and we’ll definitely reflect on your comments to improve how we set expectations and communicate throughout.
