I would not recommend Harvey Jones

I would not recommend Harvey Jones.

The experience has been far from what was contracted for, there have been large gaps in the level of service received regarding the supply and installation management of a high quality kitchen.

I had made multiple requests to escalate and resolve my concerns quickly. The issues remained unaddressed and I repeatedly asked to speak to a director/manager to raise the gap in management and get a focus to an installation that clearly wasn’t going well.

Issues included:
- Incomplete delivery we were missing 3 units and 2 missing drawers from the outset
- Incorrect units construction - not inline with the specification agreed which effected 3 units needing replacements
- Incorrect scullery sink - had a tap hole when the specification clearly shows surface mounted taps and the tap models were shared during the design process
- Incorrect replaced scullery sink - wrong size, an 800mm sink was provided, although the invoice showed 900mm
- Incorrect sink kitchen fittings - the slotted drain fitting were too big
- Wrong hinges on some units - the specification was antique brass but were polished brass on multiple units
- Inconsistent colour magnets - some were chrome, some were gold)

The acknowledgement from management that something has gone seriously wrong in the process came too late and because of that caused undue delay to us, unnecessary cost and considerable inconvenience in having to identify and manage mistakes and their impact ourselves - ultimately, this was Harvey Jones’ responsibility, a responsibility that was not owned.

The direct costs involved included the worktop fitter rebooking (due to the correct sink not being onsite), additional days for plumbers (because of the incorrect parts) and electrician (because the kitchen fitter was in the space on days that were overrun during fitting).

Ended up costing thousands of pounds extra in trades, plus the cost of my time to accept replacement parts and move them myself.

Compliant procedure was slow (like the rest of their response to issues) and with lack of ownership and meaningful outcome.

The above is a true reflection of my experience. Avoid this company.
