Done with Shipley
This company took over Haly Home Comfort. I used Haly to install and maintain my gas furnace. My experience with this company has not been good. Overpriced and poor service. My most recent service appointment is a good example. Despite having a 4-hour service window, the technician arrives 40 minutes late. When the appointment was set up, I requested a call 15 minutes before arrival in advance so I could crate my dog. Never got it. Even if I never requested a call, it would be common courtesy to call when you are running so late.
In addition to the “visit” fee, I was charged for cleaning my burners. This unit underwent the annual maintenance a few months ago by Shipley, so I really question what was done during the annual maintenance.
I also think some of their business practices are a little suspect. My annual service contract was renewed without any advance warning. This is not illegal in PA but is very anti-consumer friendly.
What is unscrupulous is that I could not set my contract to not auto-renew via their online portal. Every attempt generated an “An unknown error occurred while attempting to delete this profile.” I had to call and cancel.
