I paid an up front charge of £288 for a…

I paid an up front charge of £288 for a Banham visit to simply re-set my smoke alarm system (I was told you had to pay the service charge fee upfront). All the alarms, panels and everything were already in place. Two engineers arrived (one trainee) and replaced about 7 batteries and re-set the alarm pad. I was told the service charge had already been paid but I would be charged for the batteries. They were here for about an hour. I have now been sent a bill for £630 so an extra £342 for seven batteries.
