Subscription needed -- and fate of return shipping costs uncertain
When I bought this product online, it was not at all clear that a subscription was required on top of the price of the tracker itself. Some trackers do not require one, and in this case I was convinced a subscription wasn't necessary, which is why I bought the product.
Secondly, when the need for a subscription was confirmed through e-mail dialogue with PAJ, I decided to return the product but I discovered that I had to pay for the return costs! At least, that's what it says on their website. However, they ended up sending a prepaid shipping label for returning the product, so that was eventually OK.
It remains that the issue of the subscription (needed or not?) is too unclear and confusing for me to recommend this vendor.
EDT: in their response below, PAJ insist on the fact that the need for an additional subscription is mentioned here and there, but the fact is, if it were so obvious, I would have seen it and refrained from buying the product. My mistake is proof that the normally attentive customer that I am (which is the legal standard in the EU) may very well overlook that need for a subscription, and be lead into believing erroneously that it is not needed.
