Churchill accepted my claim

Churchill accepted my claim, processed it and then declined it.

From the point of originally accepting my claim - I was told by numerous staff that the claim was 100% valid and would be paid out on. Car was a write off. They collected the car from me. They said at worst - it would go down as a fault claim if they were unable to recover costs from the other party who caused the damage.

This went on for weeks - and then a settlement was made, and agreed, I gave them my bank details, uploaded my V5, deregistered my registration with DVLA... and 2 days later they called to say they were no longer paying out (no new facts had come to light! No details about the claim had changed).

Days later then sent an engineer to inspect the car at the scrap yard, who said the claim as not valid (how did they know this then before he had inspected it??? They never explained.. psychic perhaps).

They took away my courtesy car within 24hrs but did not return my car - leaving me with no transport.

And then weeks later when my scrap value car was returned to me - it was dented and damaged by the storage yard it had been kept at - the brakes were locked, gearbox frozen and battery flat.

They deny deny deny any liability or blame at all.

Shoddy service - shocking tactics - and hugely stressful and I am still paying monthly for a car that is a write off and have to repair it myself now to even begin to try to recoup my losses which run in to tens of thousands.

Churchill - you totally and utterly screwed me over. Thanks a bunch!
