The experience we had when visiting John Doe to look at a sofa we had seen on line was in keeping with good old fashioned customer experience. Somebody on hand to point you in the right direction and then inform you they or any of their colleagues will be pleased to further assist. Being able to wander around the well laid out showroom ensuring your choice is the one you want. Staff were knowledgeable about the products and there was no hard sell for extras. We have previously brought carpets from John Doe and we were pleased with the quality, price and experience.
One thing I would say is having the cost of delivery added to your purchase. It would be difficult to put a sofa and chair in your car and hiring a van would be more costly but why not just factor the delivery cost into the price of the purchase? Having said that we would highly recommend John Doe for choice and quality of goods, fair pricing, really pleasant showroom and helpful staff.
