I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Ride Safely Auction. After purchasing a car, I was told that it would be transported with insurance coverage. However, upon receiving the car, it had noticeable damage. Despite the assurance that the car was covered, when I reached out to their claims department, they were unhelpful and dismissive. They continuously told me the car was sold "as is," even though I paid $299 in service fees and $150 in documentation fees. They also charged far higher transportation costs than other companies, yet the damage occurred on their watch.

When I tried to file a claim, I was met with resistance. Their claim department seemed intent on wearing me down until I either accepted a minimal payout (which didn’t even cover 25% of the damage) or gave up entirely. The whole process was frustrating and felt like a bait-and-switch. I was promised insurance coverage and protection during transportation, but the reality was far from it.

This company is not transparent and lacks accountability. They’ll gladly take your fees, but when it comes time to stand by their services, they shift the blame and make it nearly impossible to get any reasonable compensation. I would not recommend Ride Safely Auction to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy car-buying experience.

Dear Nasir,

We regret to hear about your dissatisfaction, and we appreciate your bringing these issues to our attention. At RideSafely, we aim for transparency and customer satisfaction in all our transactions.

Regarding the damage noted upon delivery of your vehicle, it's important to clarify that while all vehicles from insurance auctions are sold "as is"—which is standard practice at auto auctions—we strive to assist our customers post-purchase, especially in cases involving transportation damages. We reviewed the damages reported and provided a credit of $310, covering the cost of necessary aftermarket replacement parts and labor, which we believe were sufficient to address the minimal damages incurred. We also provided links to reputable eBay listings for the required parts.

We understand that you, along with your friends Fardin and Maiwand, felt that even minor issues needed addressing, and we tried to accommodate your concerns as reasonably as possible within the constraints of our auction format and policies.

If you feel that the resolution provided was insufficient or if there are any further details you'd like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at (215) 289-0300 or via email at feedback@ridesafely.com. We are here to assist and ensure that your concerns are fully addressed.

Thank you for your feedback, which is crucial in helping us improve our services.

Best regards,
The RideSafely Team
