Rubbish service and misinformed customer services

I have used UPS in UK many times and been satisfied with them. However now I need to send parcels from UK to Italy which is a disaster. Goods do not get customs clearance promptly. If there is a problem this is not raised with either the sender or the recipient. However the tracking details states that information is requested. As these are intercompany transactions I see both sides, and this is just misinformation. But customer services swear blind that a request has been sent, because that is what their system tells them, but that information is wrong. Today I have a consignment of 9 parcels. 3 are in Turin, 6 are in Milan, the Turin department will not release the items until the parcels from Milan arrive and the parcels have just been sitting in Milan for 2 days! I have found best delivery time is not the 2-3 days I have paiuds for but between 8 and 36 days!
