Trust in reviews defines the very essence of Trustpilot, so we take the job of maintaining that trust very seriously. We have many processes in place to ensure the reviews on our platform reflect genuine buying or service experiences, and to detect and remove fake reviews. We use fraud detection technology to scan each review for suspicious patterns, have a dedicated Content Integrity team who investigate reports of fraud, as well as strong guidelines in place to ensure safety in our community. 

If we do find a business is misusing Trustpilot, we post consumer alerts on company profile pages to warn our community if we have identified substantial fraudulent behavior.
