Poorly Packaged Goods

No problem with the goods, BUT my items were carelessly packaged. Basically, the premium chocolate bars I ordered had broken. This is because they were placed on the outside of the packaging (just a plastic mailing sack) and mixed in with the super soft throws I ordered. Common sense would suggest to place the chocolate bars inside the centre of the parcel, but sadly common sense was not so common here! Within 10 minutes of opening my parcel, I reached out to customer support via the live chat on their website, but rapidly exited upon seeing that I was number 50 in the queue! I approximate the wait time would have been at least 30-45 minutes. I just don't have the time or patience to wait that long! So, I have three broken chocolate bars that cannot be gifted. I now have to buy replacement chocolate bars elsewhere. If only Dunelm had packed my order with thought and care, I would have left them a great review! The goods were as described on their website, it's just the poor packaging that was the sticking point for me. I will order from them again as I believe in second chances, but if this reoccurs then I will order any perishables elsewhere.
