I used to have a smart meter, (now I have a thick meter) when i was with British Gas. I changed suppliers to Scottish Power just over 2 years ago. First 14 months with SP the smart meter didn't work at all. last few months it comes out with the totally wrong readings and hardly never gives usage figures that are near my actual usage. Been signing up for last 2 years to get a new smart meter fitted by SP still till today no available appointments. Only reason my account is ticking over is because I'm manually submitting reading monthly on website. Going to stop from today!!!
