Is this another scam?
Taxi from the airport to the hotel was acceptable. Costed slightly more than driving on the meter.
Taxi back from the hotel to the airport never showed up. I called the emergency number, but that did not work. I eventually got through to Jessica, who would call me back after investigating what had happened. After a short while, she did. She told us that the Taxi was stuck in traffic in Barcelona and recommended that we take a local taxi back. They would then refund the costs within 20 days.
We did. And we were lucky enough to catch our flight as there was ABSOLUTELY no traffic in Barcelona on a Sunday morning.
I submitted the claim on board the plane and got a standard email that they would review this within 30 days.
Two weeks later, I got an automated zendesk reply that they would get back to me in 45 days.
This smells like a scam, and I will now reverse the charge with the credit card company.
Advice to stay clear of this company as their routines do not stand up to the standards expected in this day or time.
