Review of Northgate Vehicle Hire

Customer service reserved for big companies only

I am a sole trader / self employed van driver. I have had multiple issues. Requested Volkswagen Transporter, but Citroen Dispatch was delivered. Apparently Transporters were not available. Arrangement was they locate one and we swop. That was 3 months ago. I am strangely still paying the Transporter rate and not the cheaper Citroen rate.
On September 9th I requested a swop to a Volkswagen Caddie Highline. A van available on their website. I was given pricing on Startline and Trendline. Decided to go for the Trendline. On September 15th, I received an email, telling me that only Startline is available, but that weekly rate for Startline is now the higher rate that was quoted for the Trendline.
I was also informed that no Volkswagen Caddie was actually available.
There seems to be a patern emerging. In the reviews I read about bigger companies being extremely happy with the service they are receiving from Northgate Van Hire. Northgate willing and able to go the extra mile.

CAN I THEREFOR ASSUME THAT NORTHGATE POLICY IS TO ONLY PROVIDE PROPER SERVICE TO BIG COMPANIES, RENTING MULTIPLE VEHICLES??????
