Nicely designed items, just what I was looking for. I wanted a very simple round solid oak dining table which is not too heavy or bulky (to go with my solid oak dining chairs purchased from elsewhere). After spending some considerable time looking around, this seemingly very basic item didn't exist! But then I came across Maison du Monde's Norway solid oak vintage round dining table! Also, absolutely love the other item I got - the Portobello solid oak vintage TV shelf unit. Everyone comments how great it looks and how it is reminiscent of their grandparents' furniture. The items were easy to build and the instructions were probably clearer than some other companies I've bought flat-pack furniture from. Arranging the delivery was painless, as an agent promptly contacted me to choose a convenient time. The items arrived on time too, but ... (1) the dining table was very poorly packaged and all its contents kept on falling out and rolling about, as the box was either very damaged or just very flimsy, and (2) the delivery people were clearly not as skilled as other companies who have delivered furniture to my address because they caused some minor damage to walls and doors by bashing the items about when carrying the items to the designated room. I'm hesitant to buy larger items again from Maison du Monde for this very reason, which is a shame as they have some wonderful designs on offer.
