DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Here is my experience with booking a house move for my daughter.

1. Mis-quoted by Shift allowing just 2 hours for a 4-hour move. They were told in detail what needed to be moved. They allowed just 2 hours from Leeds to Lincoln it takes that long just to drive there. What about loading and unloading? Perhaps this is intentional so they can charge £80 per hour overage charges. We caught that and increased time to 4 hours.

2. I was then sent several confirmations not belonging to me containing other peoples moving details including addresses. So much for data protection. I will be contacting the ICO about this.

3. When I called the driver to ask if my daughter could travel with the van he knew nothing about the job.

4. The driver was changed new driver he called me asking what needed to be moved, obviously concerned about van size, I put him in touch with my daughter. They were AGAIN FOR A SECOND TIME told in detail what needed to be moved by my daughter.

5. The two-man team turns up and it is a man and his 15 year old son according to my daughter. I paid for two men.

6. They take two hours to load the van because the first time they did not put big items in first and had to empty and repack. Long story short the van was obviously too small. They then tell my daughter the job will now run over but they will turn off the shift app so there are no overages if she gives them £40 cash. She is pressured at this point as she feels she has no choice.

7. Shift uses premium numbers to call them NOT stated clearly on their site.

8. When offered a complaint link by Shift chat I was sent to a different website not shift.

9. Called the driver to ask why he charged my daughter £40 because he mis-packed his van. He told me he was trying to save me money as the company would have charged me £80, he told me my daughter lied about how much had to be moved. Both he and SHIFT were given an EXACT list. He got so agitated I just hung up. He then called my daughter moaning at her.

10. Received resolution emails with a link to monitor the dispute, the link went to stripe payment processing website.

11. Their website is not secure.

12. Every email you will get will be from NOREPLY@ so you can't
reply to their nonsense.

13. All the live chat support is in the Philippines.

The whole thing is atrocious and reeks of a scam. I will be performing a partial chargeback on my card and be reporting them to the ICO

Look at the reply below the same copy and pasted, grammatically incorrect message posted to all bad reviews. They are DREADFUL.
