Quite a high price, but proper delivery.

The package was properly packed and delivery was on time. However, something went wrong in the webshop as my address was entered incorrectly (I putted in a different address than it showed), though fortunately it didn’t cause any issues. Overall satisfied, but I do find the prices a bit on the high side.

Don not use Zavvi

6 pre orders on Zavvi, 2 of which where due last week that I have been waiting g months for. When I contacted customer service in regards to an update on dispatch I got two generic messages from a Shannon saying they would let me know and update within 24hours. After receiving no responce I sent another polite message stating I was supposed to be updated within 24hours and this didn't not happen and got a response from this Shannon saying she did 'not like the tone of the message' to which I said ok thats fine I will cancel the two pre orders. When I went and checked my account to look at my other pre orders this spiteful woman has cancelled all of my pre orders, some I have had for iver 6 months. Will never shop with Zavvi again. Completely unprofessional and lie outright about dispatch dates and prices.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Disappointed

On the 2nd of May 2025 I pre-ordered Enter the Dragon 4K steelbook, V for Vendetta 4K steelbook and The Goonies 4K steelbook on Zavvi.nl and I received today on the 26th of August that these orders have been canceled. So I ordered these when they were just announced on Zavvi.nl and this is the result. 4 months of waiting for nothing.

The same happened with The Mask blu-ray steelbook. I pre-ordered this one on the 23rd of June, the day of announcement and this was also canceled today.

I’m a vast customer at Zavvi and buy monthly movies on their website and never had issues until now. I’ve written multiple reviews on items that I purchased and I never received a compensation, but they could do some more effort to their regular customers I think.

Usely everything goes smoothly on their website. I really hope they give customers who pre-order blu-ray’s or 4K’s from the day they’re announced priority in the coming future.
Also, there are people who buy 4K limited editions multiple times to sell it on ebay or other e-marketplaces at two or three times the price. Maybe it’s good to give everyone a limited amount of purchases of one movie to avoid these fraudulent actions.

But I must say for the times I needed to chat with someone from the customer service everything went well.

Overall, I recommend the website Zavvi.nl, but there’s still room for improvement.

Gone downhill…

Buying from Zavvi started off happily but over the recent year or two they have gone downhill. Delays by a week or longer on new releases constantly. Always waiting on stock and then results in delays or cancelled orders. And a refund I didn’t ask for. A boxset arrived damaged and it took 3 weeks to resolve but I communicated asking for replacement and I got a refund instead and I didn’t reorder due to the price going up. The item was originally on a sale but as a collector I didn’t really want a crushed boxset on my shelf. Really not impressed recently, especially when the delays are happening constantly. I may have to start my pre orders elsewhere.

Absolutely AWFUL = DON'T bother with…

Absolutely AWFUL = DON'T bother with Pre-orders + TERRIBLE customer service!

I placed a pre-order for 4x item's in February, release date was the 13th June (1x MtG commander deck, 1x bundle and 2x starter kits).

They marked 3x out of 4x items as dispatched (1x bundle and 2x starter kits).

I received a box containing 2x items (2x starter kits), not the 3x (missing the 1x bundle). The box was too small to have fit the bundle.

I raised 2x queries, 1x about the missing bundle that they marked as 'dispatched', 1x about the Commander deck that they haven't dispatched.

We can't use names here so we'll call the first Customer Service advisor 'C'. He replied assuring me that there is just a delay regarding the commander deck is all and that I will eventually receive it - (bearing in mind the release date was the 13th June), today is the 7th July and I'm still waiting.

Another Customer Services advisor informed me that an investigation has been raised about the missing bundle, they gave me a timeframe and that timeframe had passed, so I chased them. They reply thanking me for my refund request and processed a refund for the bundle (with no apology or admitting to their mistake!). I didn't request a refund, I want the goods! Dealing with them was like talking to a brick wall! There have been a number of occasions where they haven't read my messages correctly and even their own colleagues!

The problem is, the products that I have ordered are sold out everywhere and are worth a lot more money now, so much for Pre-ordering the items with Zavvi!

I highly doubt they'll be able to get a hold of the remaining item, the commander deck - all I want are the items that I have pre-ordered!

I'm left wondering whether they understand the point of a pre-order and why they hire incompetent people to work in their customer services department.

Also try looking for their head office details or a phone number to put in a complaint - there is a reason that you'll struggle. All you have is their CS department, so complaints get nowhere. This review is the short version of everything that has happened, I'm so stressed with the situation it's unreal. I'm kicking myself that I didn't go elsewhere to pre-order the items as now I won't be able to get a hold of them as only a limited amount are printed. Let's see whether I ever receive my commander deck or whether they will suddenly refund me (they don't like to admit to being wrong).

I will be sharing my experience with as many people as possible and I will not be shopping with Zavvi after this extremely poor experience. Zavvi are absolutely awful.

They may have a paid Trustoilot account, as there's no way they'd have a 3.8 score on Trustpilot, they'd be in the red with a free account (I've worked for a company that used Trustoilot for a while so I have a good idea of how it works).

They've caused me so much stress with this situation, I wish I had went elsewhere in the first place. I'm going to be looking into taking things further.

Feel free to source the items for me Zavvi and pay a premium whilst you're at it, this is the only way that you will be able to make it up to me - I know you won't however. You should replace your Customer Services department, get some people in that are capable of reading properly and that are able to actively engage in a situation, people that can stick to timeframes and know what they are doing.

I want my remaining item (and preferably the bundle too) - I DO NOT want another refund as I cannot get the items anywhere else now (and don't believe you'll be able to get them, but I'm holding in to that small sliver of hope). Sort yourselves out!

Again, DO NOT refund me for the remaining item (Final Fantasy Limit Break commander deck), I STILL WANT IT.

Let's see if 'C' will admit to being wrong about Zavvi having not oversold this product and that I will still receive it. Let's see how much Zavvi knows exactly.

On the positive, it's great that we can order Doctor Who The Collection again at Zavvi NL

On the negative, this is a pre-order... I use Visa by Rabobank but get asked to verify using ICS App. ????

I cancel that request, but my pre-order is now confirmed anyway...

Awful shoddy company-Final Straw

Awful company, cancel everything you have.

Send out emails telling you certain products will be available since I still haven’t got orders from 2024 and it’s now June 2025 for myself only, to order them and end up cancelling anyway.

They take loans at 3/4% then cancel, really really bad company to deal with and after 5 orders with 3 cancellations and 2 still in processing I’m happily done with zaavi.

Quite possibly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

Great Customer service and Packaging

I like the fact that replies come quickly. There always seems to be a satisfactory resolution to any problems that might arise due to delivery delays and damage to, in my case, 4K blu-ray (steel-)cases. In most if not all cases the packaging is that good that any damage to an item is usually caused during production or before the item is shipped.

Almost great

It would have been perfect if we didn't have to pay the shipping costs.
Besides that, customer service are replying pretty much fast and the packaging has definitely improved, specially for steelbook editions.

Awful customer service avoid at all costs!

Awful customer service my item, due in one to two days still not dispatched after a week. Hopeless communication, totally useless it seems.....things going from bad to worse. These guys have no idea what they are doing. DONT use them is my advice, they take your money and deliver nothing! Read the other reviews people waiting months for refunds!

I pre-ordered payment issue

I pre-ordered an item plus a Hoodie that was currently in stock. The Hoodie was sent and charged to me but 8 months later the pre-order is finally available after delays but there is a problem with the payment as they can’t now charge the authorised PayPal which I would prefer to use. It’s not asking me to use a card when I go in to the account to resolve the payment BUT its trying to charge me the full amount, including the Hoodie I’ve already received. no one is getting back to me and I don’t know what to do. Should I just cancel?

Disgraceful tbh

I’ve seen many people waiting months for their items. I’m sorry I’m leaving this after FIVE! I needed my items for Dec 20th and was under the assumption they’d be dispatched days ago. Still waiting to be dispatched and no responses from them at all. I will be going through PayPal for a refund, if its not been dispatched before Christmas! I’m not waiting forever. Don’t email me about something I wanted a release date for, if you’re not even gonna dispatch it.

Edit: 27/12 - STILL NOT DISPATCHED!! I got a generic email saying there is a delay 10 DAYS AFTER I ORDERED! I’m going through PayPal now!
