Great staff and service

I visited Currys PC World in Wednesbury and had a great experience. Alexi was very patient and really took the time to help me choose the right products I needed. Brad from the business team was also really helpful in sorting out my business receipt. Both were professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and easy. Highly recommend!

Really poor customer service

Really poor customer service. Seriously even when I need to buy something or need technical details, they are useless. I spent more time just trying to speak to them than buying the item. At the end as I was desperate, I just blindly ended up buying the item.

Why do you have customer service team/sales team when they are just useless bunch? Waste of money and space.

Pc world is not was it should be

Pc world is not was it should be.
I intended to buy pc parts but instead tried to sell me a whole new system on finance when I said I already have a setup.
This was in the Warrington, Cheshire store.
You can not buy pc stuff like graphics card etc. Pointless.

PC world

You: Not pleased with the service I got in PC world Chesterfield this morning, I went to buy a new laptop with a budget of £1000, no one from the sales team was interested in the slightest in talking to me spent a good hour waiting for someone to talk through the features…I knew exactly what laptop and accessories I needed. To say I am not pleased is an understatement. I have previously bought lap tops, VDUs, printers ETC..over the years where I experienced great service, PC world what is happening? Your service was impeccable. It’s clearly not now. You need to improve…

Do not go to Currys

Do not go to Currys . The customer service is terrible.
You book a repair, they give you an appointment with the engineer. The service centre then call, they cancel that appointment and order parts.
When asked what parts as, no one has been round to see the problem , they say they don’t know.
Our engineer came out , within two weeks it didn’t work again. So guess what we start all over again!!!!!
This is now the fourth time we are having to go through this and this has been going on since December, which is disgraceful as it’s under warranty.
When your told to go to the white goods team to see if they will refund you your giving the number for the repair centre No one will help!!!!! Maybe they are waiting for the warranty to run out in June so they don’t have to do anything
It is now the middle of march and still no repair to our dishwasher.
The engineer came out and said it had a leak. A report would be written and when I called currys yesterday I was told the job was complete and asked was it not working still then !!!!! NO IT IS NOT
What do I have to do . The assistant was going to speak to the engineer then call me back , I’m still waiting. How can a reputable company allow this to happen

PC World business has lost a customer…

PC World business has lost a customer today. After 15 years of sales adding up to 100's thousands of pounds on equipment and consumables, they have really upset me today.
An Airbook less than 2 yrs old developed a screen fault, and they wouldn't even consider replacing or fixing it because it's a business-to-business transaction. Expensive lesson learned but they won't get another penny from me simply because of the attitude. It baffles me when big businesses would rather cut off their nose than help a long-term customer.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would! Ordered an echo show 5, the speaker didnt work. Asked for help on Live Chat, they were rude and disconnected me!!! Spoke to customer services, they couldnt help as they couldn't access my account and didnt know the number to call for businesses. Ended up finding a store member on Facebook who I used to work with and he processed a return replace. DPD turned up, without the replacement!!! Finally found the number and got through to sales as I wanted a replacement. Sales told me only CS could help and put me on hold. CS told me only Sales could help and said they were going to transfer me. I objected to that idea and said this process is broken, can we just send a replacement out. The CS advisor Katie, then spoke over me aggressively and had the audacity to call me rude!!!!!
Never ever in all my life been treated so badly by a company.
I then had to calm Katie down in order to get things resolved. She told me she would process a replacement. 2 days later, no comms and no speaker!! I have logged a complaint via email, a complaint on Resolver and now here's my new Trustpilot review to warn other customers and tell Currys just how bad they are!!!!

Theft of Tablet by Currys contracted delivery partner

Ordered a tablet for Christmas, the contracted delivery company DPD delivered it on the day agreed, however the delivery driver from DPD then stole the parcel, all this I have on CCTV.
I contracted DPD they pushed it onto Currys Business who eventually sent another tablet.
This took hours of my time to sort getting the police involved and gaining Crime refferance number, speaking to various departments in Currys and DPD.
Eventually getting to the departments in currys that deal with this, after again many calls
was told one of the managers from Curry's, called Alex would call and email to sort the issue out , after being letdown on multiple occasions I called Currys again bynow I'm 6.5 hours of my time in sorting their mess out
To eventually being offered £30 in a refund by email and absolutely no more, by Alex.Whom should have contacted me a week earlier as promised by his colleagues. shocking service ,
Never again will I shop with
Currys or DPD.

looking for an ipad

looking for an ipad, I gave exact details to both the website and via phone to customer services, checked stock at Brentford branch, my item is in stock at £679.00, price promise states, (IN VIDEO) that "if you find a better price from any other UK retailer we will match the price, that's it, simple." In store the price match was not Honoured because I didn't have a discount code for the other retailer. The product was available without a code for next day free delivery, then i was told oh we don't match them as they do not have stores. Yes they do.
I had seen the that there were 2 of my items in stock on the salesman's tablet, but he then told me that they only have the purple one available at £719, exactly the same item different colour, I was told that apple sets the price. I told the salesperson that I had seen stock on his tablet, While his manager insisted that every body's price was higher for the purple one, i don't care what colour i Have. I asked him to check again, I could clearly see it was available, and he knew that, so he went and found one, no idea how that happened he said, and he sold it to me. no discount though. and it took almost an hour to get served. Next time I will go to Argos or Appstore

Westfield/White City, Two Brilliant people

Was last week at Westfield/White City with my son and daughter.

We were not sure first what laptops to pay, but after a discussion with sales person called Anas, we come in to conclusion to purchase two laptops on Chromebook, One HP worthy £499 reduced from £699 and another Lenovo worthy £399.

Truly happy with the advise and expertise advise we received from Anas, and without his input, we wouldn’t have known much of Chromebook laptops.

We also get help, on our second day visit with a female Muslim lady, who was kind and showed us how to operate a lite of the laptops as we had problem with the Lenovo detachable keyboard.
Anas, made it simple for use with the purchase and laptops come home after two days delivered free of charges.
Just wanted to say thank you to Anas and Naima, the Tech Muslim lady in the White City Westfield West London store for being really brill.

Thank you both

"Health check left PC Problems"…

I took my PC in for an annual "Health Check" which I had done in previous years but not during the pandemic.
They were understanding when due to an accident I was delayed in collecting the PC.
When I collected and brought home that was fine and I have reset my PC which is how I write this review.
I discovered that an Anti Spyware tool for which I paid a half yearly subscription, had been removed. This left me out of pocket as well as removing an important tool against spy ware.
I have also had issues getting into Google Chrome which I never had prior to the health check.
I also have a problem with my sound again prior to taking it in I had no problems now I cannot hear music or other videos.

Really Great help from Haverfordwest Store Tech Guys.

I recently bought a laptop from Curry's PC World. I went into store and the young tech man sat me down asked what I would use it for and my budget and found me three that would work for me. He set it up for me, put the anti virus on and was so patient with a middle aged woman who knows nothing about this new fangled tech stuff. Even took a virus off an old laptop I had and set that up for nothing.

He made it simple for me to use and it works like a dream. Just wanted to say thank you to Chris and the Tech guys in the Haverfordwest store for being really brill. I could not have done it without you and as I am disabled I really need a keyboard as I can not write anymore so it is a life saver for me to do my voluntary work and use to keep in touch with people. Chris Tech guy gave me lots of extra information and helpful hints and showed me what he was doing so it was like a little lesson. I am so pleased.

Credit where Credit is due. You have a good team there CPCW I hope you look after them. I got them a box of hero's as a thank you.

MUST READ!!

MUST READ!!
MUST READ!!! I had to update from previous review, They replied to my bad review And told me to contact them which I did.

This is the first bad review I did and later after this you will see the second part !

Where do I even begin really! grab a coffee as this is diabolical. I have given Pc World every chance for it not to get to this point. I would give minus 100 if I could that's how bad PC World is. I'm 38 and I once before had a problem with PC World when I was in my 20s but I thought they surly cant still be bad but omg they are even worse that I could possibly imagine. Hoped they improved!

Anyone reading this I'm not one for complaining and I even work in retail and deal with complaints and situations so I'm fully aware that public can go a bit far but this is too much I have to write on here to warn anyone to NOT buy from pc world ever unless you want endless hassle.

Here is my story! So the build up to xmas 2021 I wanted to buy a brand new HP Omen pc worth £1500 and I went into store to place this order as I wanted it for xmas day as it was a present. I paid £10 delivery for special delivery to get it on xmas eve all ready to wrap up for xmas! while I was working on xmas eve I get a nice message from Pc World saying as requested your delivery date has changed to the 29th!! I was shocked!! called DPD and had argument with them as they said I changed the delivery date!! what idiot would pay £10 for xmas delivery to then change it after xmas when the pc was a xmas present but the low educated person on the phone couldn't understand that.

So off I went to the store to find out what was going on, to find my item was now being sent to me on the 29th and as you could imagine I was fuming as it was a xmas present, ruining my whole xmas. I asked for a refund of my £10 special delivery I never got!! I got told I should be able to get you the £10 refund Should!!! I think not!! like you will refund me that £10. I got no decent apology or anything and the lady even said this happened to her!

After this I waited until the 29th to finally get my pc to open it and see they sent me a complete wrong pc!!!

Next min the computer I did order online changed and it was updated to this pc I got sent so they advertised something online which I paid for and they must of known they didn't have it or had the details wrong so they sent me a different pc. They miss sold me and false advertised.

After this I returned the computer to the shop and again no decent apology and I got refunded the pc money but no compensation when I asked. They said I can get compensation online after saying how disgusting this was.

From there I went back and fourth with online chats and over the phone and giving them chance after chance as I will go to the ombudsman if not fixed. Pc world does not care and this went on so many times I've actually lost count, I've been hung up on and told they can give me £10 compensation!!! £10!!! that's my original special delivery money I paid for. in the end they said they will give me £50 and I just accepted even though I should have more as they were doing my head in.

But!!! this money never arrived even after getting a ref code for it and I'm still waiting after more multiple calls and being told it will arrive in a few days and then a few weeks go by and still nothing!! Then I got hung up on again and I have been so patient and not raised my voice at them once. not my style to do that. so its now Feb the second and I went into the store and asked to speak to the store manager to fix or just give me £50.

No can do they said I have to wait a further week!! to get a reply to an email he has now sent! I doubt I will hear anything.

ADDED TO MY PREVIOUS BAD REVIEW!
Above this is what I left in Google reviews and trust reviews so I will carry on with my on going situation as it’s now madness. So I never heard from anyone after the store manager left a email to important people he told me that will contact me. I had zero contact!!

So I left left bad reviews and I had curry’s, pc world send messages on here to make out they care. I called this number they left and I get through to an automated system where eventually I spoke to a lady and I had to explain my situation for the 10th millionth time.

Thought I would get somewhere and was promised I would get a call on Monday! 3 went past and past the day she said she would call. Never got this call so I called up and again I was promised to be called the next day and booked the day off so I don’t miss. They never called!!

I called again every time I have to repeat my situation and I asked to spk to a manager. I was told I will see if I can find one. 20 mins I was on hold for the same person to tell me “my manager said I’m right” you can’t get a £50 gift cards. I’ve got photo evidence of pc world saying they will pay in my bank. I don’t want a gift card! Plus they broke the law FCA! I’m creating a Facebook page for customers like me to protest outside their shops
