I know the fabric I purchased was quite cheap but I can’t make the planned dressed I was going to make, this fabric is only suitable for lining. 😞. Won’t be purchasing any more.

You will regret buying this

Minerva worktops were installed 4 weeks ago. Finish looked excellent.
However, if you breathe on it, be prepared for the scratches. It has stained so easily by tea and coffee cups.
It is appalling. I have a kitchen I am tiptoeing around.I am shocked that this is sold as a kitchen worktop. It is not fit for purpose and I wish I had read reviews before buying. I am still shocked by the occasional positive review. It's appalling.
Avoid at all costs.

They stain far too easily from everyday use, tea, coffee, cooking etc. Weekly we're having to the "The Pink Stuff" to get everyday stains out which is hindering the look.
I wish I had done my research prior, but I can't see this these work tops ageing well at all

White TOP around the hob

White TOP around the hob, stains so easily, even a beetroot sald leaf will penertrate into the pourous top. Was led to believe that it was a great practocal work top. Regret havinng the sink and drainer now as cant imagine how difficult they are going to be to keep stain free. Such an impractical material _ DO NOT BUY

Another disappointed Minerva customer!

I too have fallen foul of the slow cooker cracking and horrendous staining just three months in. Having previously had the Maia in my old house, which I was happy with, I thought I was safe with the Minerva. These worktops are just not fit for purpose. EVERYTHING stains, mud, parsley, tea......I really wish I'd upped my budget and bought quartz. AVOID Minerva will not accept any blame.

Decent worktop

I have waited over a month before posting this review. I had ordered my copper fleck worktop and splashback before reading the reviews on here and naturally got very nervous.

However, so far my experience has been positive. I cannot deny that it marks and maybe it is a little duller than the display sample, but it is really solid and heavy; its hard to imagine how it could crack. And by heavy, I mean comparable to stone. It takes at least two people to carry the worktop!

I have not had a stain that couldn't be wiped away but I am being careful, as advised, not to put hot pots and pans on it.

My handyman who fitted the kitchen found it easy to work with and I think would recommend to his other customers.

Fabulous, self fitted and look amazing.

We fitted our own Minerva worktops in November, following the instructions to the letter. I haven't had any issues, they look amazing and hold up to the knocks and bangs from a residential kitchen. The joints are almost invisible and they are easy to fabricate with DIY tools.

I initially dropped something from a height onto one of the worktops which left a whiter mark than the rest of the worktop but this literally disappeared within a few weeks.

Stains are just on the surface and come off easily with Cif cream or hob cleaner.

They look and feel amazing. I've waited 9 months before posting a review just to make sure they stayed looking pristine. They have certainly done that.

I felt I had to add this review as there seems to be so many negative reviews on here. I have seen some pictures online of some very badly fabricated joints which even I can tell did not follow the manufacturer's instructions and some not using the relevant manufacturer's jointing kit. The kits are expensive but skimp on these at your peril. The worktops are so heavy that nothing other than these kits will do the job. Don't settle for an installer coming up with differing jointing or fitting solutions as they will fail.

If you are considering having these fitted and it's done properly you will not be disappointed.

This worktop is horrendous!!!

This worktop is horrendous!!!! Magnet recommended the white sparkle minerva work top - it's ruined the look of my kitchen! There's no sparkle, it stains even if u put a wet cup on it - that's it stained FOREVER!!! Within a few weeks it looked 10 years old. Scratched, stained and dull.... we are very light users of our kitchen so I'd hate to see what it would look like if we used heavily!!
Magnet refused to do anything about it and were quite rude and unhelpful ... DO NOT BUY YOU WILL REGRET IT

Do not buy! Cracks within 12 months at joints… scratches easily, stains even easier, nightmare really

Raised concerns over a crack and was told it was installation, raised an issue over a second crack and was told it was installation

AVOID this at all costs

Can only echo the comments of the majority on here. It was, without doubt, the worst kitchen purchase we have ever made. We have had it about 6 years now but it started to look utter pants after about 6 days. It stains, it marks, it stains, it’s permanently dull no matter how much you follow their guidance, it stains and don’t get me started on the bl**dy scratches. You just need to walk into the room and it scratches. We’ve now decided to bite the bullet and get it replaced. We went back to the store we originally purchased it from and when we said why we were replacing it, the sales colleagues couldn’t believe our feedback. They said no one has ever complained about it before, utter drivel!!! I assured him we weren’t the only ones feeling like this and pulled up these reviews ( and there’s lots of other reviews outwith here). The guy read them and then he just quietly walked away. Avoid this dross at all costs. I would give it zero if it was possible.

Every time I go in our kitchen I cannot help but think what absolute rubbish our minerva worktops are, they are dull, scratched, chipped ,these guys should not be in business, it is absurd that they have the cheek to keep selling this and how they get away with it,if I could be bothered I would go to trading standards, plywood would be a superior alternative, ignore all positive reviews these are just people in denial.

I love the look of our Minerva worktop

I love the look of our Minerva worktop. There are only 2 of us and we try to be careful. Marks and stains like tea do come out with pink paste but my main issue is how easily it chips.
We have a steel inset sink with a plastic bowl and there are quite a few small chips on the edge of the worktop even though we've been careful.
We had a chip filled with the Minerva repair pack and you can see the repair even though its been sanded smooth.

Minerva Ice Crystal worktops…

We are just about to buy a Minerva Ice Crystal breakfast bar section to match our existing kitchen and I came across these poor reviews.
Can't understand people having so many problems as we have had the existing Minerva worktops installed about 5 years ago and so far no issues.
Our fitter hadn't installed Minerva before but apart from the very heavy weight he found it very straightforward.
Two corner joints that you can hardly see and an inset stainless sink.
We have been reasonably careful with the surface but have no perceivable scratches or stains. Things like wine or tea stains just wipe off with a little kitchen surface cleaner. Dried in coffee is a little more difficult but can be cleaned.
Looks great after 5 years and would highly recommend.

Avoid!
I did the same mistake as others here as not read the reviews beforehand, unfortunately.
It marks, stains and chips easily so generally an inappropriate material for any kitchen. Dents and lines remain after just normal use. It's very heave, messy i.e. dusty during the installation process and over all not worth its price so I wouldn't bother if I could go back in time.

I fit 2 or 3 Minerva every week with…

I fit 2 or 3 Minerva every week with great results.
90% of issues are due to bad fitting.
10% due to kitchen designers not understanding the product.
It is Acrylic based so No hot pans, Don't chop on it and Don't stand or put excessive weight on or it will crack.
It can stain but is not porous, so bleach will remove stains.
If you have a moulded sink, don't pour boiling water directly onto the bottom of the sink and run the cold tap at the same time.

Poor product and service

I have been a fitter for over 30 years and would not recommend Minerva tops, I had to join 2 tops together which they say you wouldn’t see, what a load of rubbish, I done the joint and after sanding and finishing the tops were different colours, got hold of the manufacturer and they done nothing about it, so poor product and service.
