Doing the job, but there are better cheaper software out there.

Well, it's doing its job, but it's a very unpolished and outdated software. There are cheaper options that do a way better job at almost anything.

I can recommend Accountable instead, honestly - cheaper and better. It's the small, tiny things that they do better that save you a lot of time.

Also don't expect a warning for the end of your trial. Your notification comes only when you are charged. Not the fairest way to handle it.

Stay away - read below

I cancelled my subscription in February, but Haufe-Lexware continued charging me for several months afterward. Without any prior warning, and without sending invoices or reminders, they suddenly handed the so-called "outstanding amount" over to their debt collection agency.

When I contacted their support team for clarification, they failed to provide any proof that they had sent notices or invoices. Their final response was: “Talk to the collection agency.”

Based on my experience, this feels more like a systematic and legalised way of squeezing money from former customers. I would strongly advise against using this company.

Edit - reply to their response: Thank you for your standard reply to try to save face. @Lexware, I have already dealt with your customer service. They did NOT provide any evidence that they sent me any warnings or notification of 'outstanding amounts' and told me that it's too late to do anything because a collection agency is on the case now. Enjoy the 60 EUR you are extorting from me, that's what your dignity as a company is worth. Pathetic.

Not so good.

1. The software is full of bugs starting with customer statements. This is a total mess and is almost unusable.
2. New bugs are written into the software and then the solution provided by Lexware causes duplicate journal transactions. These, Lexware don't want to fix because it is a "heisse Kiste". Now I have to pay someone else to fix it for me.
3. There is no standardization of the software, e.g. sometimes search filters automatically search the main record fields. Other times it will search only the matchcode.
4. So many "must have" features are missing. E.g. the netoo/brutto values for customer and supplier invoices should NOT be a company parameter. This should be a customer/supplier parameter as we supply to and purchase from retail and wholesale customers/suppliers.
5. The VAT ID number is required to be printed on invoices for numerous countries INCLUDING non-EU countries. But this may not be entered into the allocated field for non-EU countries e.g. Switzerland and Norway. If it is, then the values are automatically added into the Zusammenfassende Meldung wich is incorrect. For these countries, the number must be stored in the customer comments, and copied and pasted every time into the new invoice's text area. This also triggers the bug stated in number 2.
..... the list goes on.
On the good side, the Lohn seems to work OK, but we have only being using this module for 3 months. Time will tell.
*** Edit (in reply): I also requested further support in December for the one problem you have listed in our reply. I am still waiting for a reply.
An earlier complaint containing multiple small complaints was responded with "... we will not be changing it just for you".
