The bathroom furniture I ordered was originally supplied with all the wrong facias which were for kitchens, getting the problem resolved created a delay in completion of the job, the wc unit housing was also damaged so a repair was undertaken

St. Ives, Cambridgeshire. New kitchen installed last week. Everything from planning the layout, choosing what we wanted, ordering the items to delivery was simple and pain free. Howdens' staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful throughout. Our fitters, MW Property Maintenance did an excellent professional job. The overall price was also very reasonable.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact with. The kitchen was measured and designed incorrectly by their rep which resulted in a us losing the majority of a whole cupboard as the one they supplied was too small to fit around a slant in the ceiling so had to be cut (we didnt follow their suggestion of fitting it below the slant which would have resulted in it being a few cms above the worktop making it unusuable!) They refused to change it for a larger one (i offered to pay the difference) as its matching bottom cupboard had had its legs fitted by then. I took the hit. They next had in the design a set of shelves but did not provide enough wood to make them. They would not provide more wood without charging me for it. I opted to buy a cupboard for the space instead as it was not clear why it hadnt been designed originally. I paid for it and took another hit. Lastly the work top they provided was not long enough. They refused to supply more of the same worktop without me paying fo it. The offer was i accept a less spec worktop and they would provide enough! I felt backed into a corner as work had been halted so many times. They advised it would take ' a couple of days' to arrive.....7 days later it is still not here and no work has been done in my kitchen for a week. My complaint has been raised to area manager which is apparently as far as it can go. They have advised there is nothing they can do as I chose to change the design of the kitchen by selecting a different worktop. They were not exactly polite about it either and took almost 3 days to come up with that pathetic approach. Now having to get legal advice and have been advised they have breached sections 49, 52 and 55 on the consumer rights act 2015. All i wanted was a simple apology and small gesture of goodwill. They wont even admit their mistake!!!

Great customer service from a friendly helpful team.

Very efficient on the phone. Answered my questions clearly and concisely. Delivery on the day requested however it was later than expected. Maybe a phone call to advise customers that a delivery may be delayed would help. I had to phone to see what was happening.
