Exclusive early access - my ass!

Exclusive early access for hotel guests - my aas!

This would have been a 5 star review of a one night stay at the Abenteuer Hotel with 2 days at Heide Park, but….
On day two there were “exclusive early access” for hotel guests - great! If not for the fact that 80% of the park didn’t open until an hour later after normal opening …. They try to oversell this exclusivity to something it is not… It is nothing but false advertising with no content….
A shame, as this taint out over all experience, which was good …
They might as well NOT have the early opening for hotel guests, because it creates false expectations 🤯

Great park

Great park, we did book a cabin w/shower in the holiday camp. For the money it was great and to get park entrance for 2 days were good. The breakfast were not that great and could be better.

Had a great day

Had a great day with kids aged 7 and 9. Unfortunately some cool rollercoasters were not available for us because of the kids were to young. But we were aware of that upfront. The many other fun rides available were a blast. No lines longer than 30 minutes.

Payd full price bad communication

Payd full price. When we came our son had to be 12 years old for the most rides…. Other rides are not so special for a 10 year old boy.
This was bad communicated. If we knew we staded away.

Disappointment

To park, you have scan your card, there was no option to pay cash (by the way, parking is 10€). Also, when getting in the park the staff was really unfriendly. We were brought to a service center because apparently we bought a wrong ticket. There we were waiting for almost an hour-time we were not able to ride anything. The queues were so long, even for a weekday. In my opinion it‘s not worth to pay 64€ per person +10€ for parking for that!! I went to several theme parks in Germany, like Europapark or Phantasialand and I would not recommend Heide Park, the worst thing was truly how rude the staff was, I understand that everyone has a bad day from time to time and I get that they‘re just doing their jobs but you can always tell people that something is wrong in a nice way and not yell at them or make them feel like they‘re criminals. That‘s a big nono for me!

Lines at rides way too long!

At Heide Park the lines at the rides were very long, even though it's off season,. One thing was that transition time between runs were extremely long - namely the crews worked quite slowly - many rides only had one of two trains running at the time. On the Thursday the 13th they were shooting some TV in the Collossus ride, which made the lines unbearably long, even closing the ride at some point, AFTER guests had been waiting for up to one hour to get on. Guests have payed a lot of money to enter the park, thus, ALL rides should be running at maximum capacity, and any "extra curricular activities", such as TV-recordings and so on, should be done before the park opens, or not at all.

In conclusion, Heide Park, simply isn't worth the money OR time!

Proberly our last visit

For the first time in over 40 years we are super disappointed with Heide Park. I have been here since I was 4-5 years old about every 2 year. And for the last 15 years with my own family every 2 year. Last time was the summer before Corona. We have always thought it was absolutely fantastic, even if you often had to stand in huge queues, to wait for a ride. This time many rides where either permanently closed or temporarily closed 😱. But nothing indicated it. Some years ago Heidepark still had over 40 attractions now only 30 and some of them not working yesterday- like the old rollercoaster or 90% of the attraction on the Maya city. But no price reduction or at least information about it before you book the tickets online…. Sorry to say….this might have been our last time in Heidepark. Too expensive when things are not working. Corona and material delivery problems might have an impact on all this, but then please inform the visitors upfront or reduce the price.

Only the piratshow and the fact that it was not overfilled with people was nice.

The worst ticket-ordering website!

The worst ticket-ordering website i have ever experienced! 4 times i tried to order daytickets without luck! 2 times i got server errors after the payment process was filfilled.
2 times i payed for the tickets without getting any tickets!!!
1½ hour waiting time on the phone to their customer service - just to be told i have to order tickets again and again...
And they told me i have to use af PC! Ticket ordering doen't work on a mobile phone!!!
And it's not possible to buy the tickets at the gate - not even when their system has fuc... up the buying process...
Worst experience ever!

DO NOT visit Heide Park or their Heide Park Abenteuer hotel. NO costumer Service!!!

I ordred a trip with hotel inside Heide Park (Heide Park Abenteuer hotel) online via hotels.com, then i got called to work, and tried to contact the hotel, before the deadline for canceling. We could not get to talk to anyone, and could get answer back.
I then contacted hotels.com that tried for over a week to just one answer, and used several hours over several days with them, and NO luck getting through to them, the one answer was the day before we should be there, and just a NO. We lost all vacation money, and my daughter did not get vacation this summer!!!!
Hotels.com even tried to call the head of Heide Park, but they do not care of anyone, and do not respect hotels.com.
Thanks Heide Park, my daughter cried for several hours.. and we just wanted to move the date from an expensive weekend, to a weekday...

Pleasent stay

Pleasent stay. We felt welcomed. The staff were sweet and smiling. The buffet was varied and delicious both Breakfast and dinner.Unfortunately, the children were disappointed as they did not get into the swimming pool because of a sudden malfunction. However, there is certainly room for improvement.
Suggestions:
- More comfortable pillows,
-air conditioning could be nice,
-mini fridge might be worth considering (especially because someone needs to place medicine on the fridge)

All in all a good mini family vacation.
