Much smaller than advertised

The earrings are clearly much smaller and thinner than advertised - to the extend that it is misrepresentative. They are absolutely tiny and barely visible when worn. The photos appear to have been magnified and/ or photoshopped

Avoid at all costs

I would give this company zero stars if I could please don’t use! I bought a lovely 9ct gold honeycomb ring last August which is lovely. The ring had spilt on a join which is sharp. I have been contacting this company for over a week and they have avoided all my emails and not answered one. I have sent pictures of the faulty ring. Shocking customer service! There is no other way of getting in touch as they don’t answer the telephone. I will be contacting my credit card company to see what I can do next. Please do not buy anything from here as you will not get a reply if you have any issues or problems.

Defective Earrings

Bought earrings from Gemondo Thailand. Underwhelmed is an understatement. The earrings are spotty + one earring is missing a stone. Quality control, anyone? Illegal procedures & bully tactics

I’m an eCommerce Manager and wanted to share my experience from this company when it comes to your rights in case you find yourself in a similar situation.

This company sent an item that was undelivered. They were notified multiple times about the parcel being undelivered and given ample opportunity to rectify the problem. By either A. Sending a replacement product or B. Offering a refund.

Instead this company chose option C. Which was to ignore the majority of emails sent. Emails which asked for updates and made them aware of the undelivered product (worth £140)

After 30 days they then said they were willing to offer a 10% refund for the product which was undelivered. So £14 back after spending £140 for an item that’s was never received. They are now also ignoring all emails so I now have to do a charge back with my bank and start formal procedures.

So, if you find yourself in this position with this awful company here are your legal rights: If your item wasn't delivered to the location you agreed, it's the seller's legal responsibility to sort out the issue. You can ask them to redeliver your item. You can ask for a full refund if: a delivery date was essential and wasn't met. Taken from citizens information.

Don’t let them bully you out of your money or better yet shop somewhere else 👍

No Refund fo Undelivered Item

EDIT: Changing from one star to two star, as they eventually processed a refund after 30 days when I reminded them of their legal obligation to offer a refund when an item has not been delivered 30 days after the initial order. Still quite unhappy with my experience, but will raise by one star as at least I no longer feel swindled.

They are giving me the run-around regarding a refund for a lost item. There has been no update from the courier in four weeks. Not really Gemondo's fault that the courier didn't deliver, but they keep fobbing me off for a refund. After four weeks, I was offered a 10% refund today. What good is 10% back on an item I did not receive?! I feel like I am being forced to process a chargeback with my bank as Gemondo seems adamant about keeping my money for an undelivered item.

Certificate of Authentication issues

The bracelet is lovely bracelet, however when it arrived it had the wrong certificate of authentication, so I emailed and they said it would take 3 months to get the right one. Which I thought was an outrageous timeframe to give but I awaited an update. About a month later I got an email to say they’re sending me the right one, turned up incorrect again and now my emails haven’t been responded to for a week.

Pretty unimpressed there are other places to purchase from and I’d suggest if a certificate of authentication for your gemstone is important you go else where.

Great experience

This time I ordered a pair of earrings, and about a year ago, I ordered a bracelet. Their quality is good; I have had no issues whatsoever with the stones, the gold, or the products themselves. The delivery and the dispatch have always been extremely fast, and I was always able to use discount codes for the purchases, which is a plus for me.

I really don’t understand how this…

I really don’t understand how this company gets such great reviews. This is my story. I ordered a pair of earrings which were quite heavily discounted. They looked very beautiful, but when they arrived they weren’t even attached inside to the box. Just rattling around very underwhelming, plus when I looked at the earrings, they just looked very cheap Then I attempted to try them on . The spike literally fell off the actual earring! so no quality control then. Honestly, I buy a lot of costume jewellery and I would avoid this company. It is overpriced for very very cheaply made jewellery . I did get a refund, but it took two emails and the telephone number that they gave is literally not fit for purpose because nobody answers it. Avoid

Thoroughly disappointing

Delighted lots of people give a 5 star rating. However it has not been my experience.
Gifted a beautiful ring not this Christmas but last. The stone fell out after 10 months. Thankfully I located that. Tried a number of times to get in touch with customer services via email. No reply. Finally had an answer which said the ring was out of guarantee (3 months) so if I wanted it fixing I’d have to send it back, and wait for it to be repaired (3-4 months) and pay for it.

Took the ring to an independent jeweller who said she wasn’t surprised the stone had fallen out, it’s just glued in. I’m now looking at a £200 bill to have a proper setting made that will anchor the stone.
3 month warranty is ridiculous. Jewellery should be for life not 3 months.
In spite of the jewellery being undoubted pretty, I could not recommend this company to others.
