If your rechtsbijstandverzekering uses DAS, avoid them.
The legal specialist assigned to our case was unhelpful and appeared to lack even basic legal knowledge. DAS made little to no effort on our behalf, likely because we were referred through insurance. Instead of advising us on our options, the specialist discouraged us by downplaying our evidence and claiming we had no chance of winning.
His communication with the counterparty was weak and lacked any assertiveness. Additionally, he once missed a scheduled meeting entirely—leaving us waiting—due to issues with their internal scheduling system. Until we were assigned to a legal specialist, it took very long time. Overall, an incredibly unprofessional and disappointing experience.

Do not recommend this company. They forgot to sign my case to anyone, over 2 months. No any reaction for email, I had to call in to see what is going on.
Later, no any contact for 3 months. No updates, provided data not in use, worried more for the insurance company financial state then to provide the right information.

If i could give them a -5 star review I would. I have an insurance with ING regarding work. I wanted to get in contact regarding my dispute with mt employer and get information since I am paying for the legal advice for over an year. I called the number provided, even asked ING to put me through their direct line and every time I got through they hanged up on me because I don't speak Dutch. Unprofessional, disrespectful and discriminative: avoid at all costs!!!

Member of staff said that he did not believe real experience by real clients, says everything about the staff training, client relationships.
How on God’s earth has this outfit been allowed to continue for so long!
Ombudsman, where are your powers?
Broke down in France last week on my burgman 650. Called my European cover via my insurance and could not have asked for better service. DAS answered and everything just fell in place like a military plan. The first garage my bike was taken to refused to work on it and caused a day delay. A very nice lady called Nichole from DAS phoned me with the update. She arranged another garage to remove my battery and charge it overnight to get my bike running also a taxi from my hotel the next morning to the garage free of charge. 20 miles away. On collection of my bike a pickup truck would take me to Calais for my 12:35 shuttle back to the UK. I could then contact the uk AA for recovery home. I opted to try and ride home to the Walsall area and got as far as Warwick service before having to stop for fuel. Battery failed again at this point. I can’t thank DAS enough for their military procedures in getting me back to the UK also the regular updates and assistance. Thank you DAS for a job well done and especially to Nichole
If I could give one bit of advice it would be to report this company and their inability to act appropriately to the financial ombudsman for two reasons, 1 they will look at their practices 2 I believe that even if there the ombudsman find in favour of the company there are still financial consequences for the company. If I could give less than 1 star I would. The service is so poor, not necessarily an individual but the company policy, even the so called complaints department fail to acknowledge when there is an issue an offer any form of resolution. I am taking this matter to the financial ombudsman to see what they have to say as at least there will be an impartial review of the issues carried out.

If I could give 0 stars I would absolutely useless . Landlord insurance bought through direct line using these morons ! Call centre staff who talk nonsense trying to find any excuse not to pay out .
Have insurance for possession and unpaid rent through direct line neither of which are they willing to help with . Each time have come back with excuse after excuse when there is no justifiable reason to do so . Have used a different company to deal with the situation with immediate help and moving forward .
Steer clear , unprofessional , lazy and not worth the stress .

it since November 2023 since I couldn't drive it I only was able to put 150 miles on it the car started over heated the power train warranty did not do anything I did not have thousands of dollars to pay my mechanic it the owners said I complained and made fun of me im single mother a widow ya took advantage of me I'm walking because of ya i have plantar fasciitis Ya are not good people one of ya mechanics told me the 2018 ford escape was never serviced my credit is ruined Tanna I tried talking to you blocked me mr jeff from enterprise auto can back me up the whole engine would had to been told down. Ya also said I complain u gave me a bad car could you have made this right I ve been living here 23 years Never experience nothing like this my daughter couldn't do track u field because of ya I have to make it on my own I don't have help.my credit score has dropped no chances of getting a house now I'm stuck with a 8075 bill that I can't even drive. I won't be able to go any where with a low credit score how do ya sleep at night ya are nothing but crooks.

Shut Down your shop asap.

Soo slow at landlord insurance claim review and they're horribly slow at responding which lead me to having to make pay outs rather than using insurance and they're hugely understaffed so they respond after only various attempts at getting in touch. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Absolutely awful service. Typical insurance fraudsters. Do not cover you despite you having the correct cover. Try everything to worm their way out of payment.

We have had an extremely bad experience with DAS Legal Expenses. By this, I mean the legal expenses insurance company, not the law firm, DAS Law. Both these organisations are getting reviews under this listing so I think it is important to distinguish which business I am reviewing.
DAS Legal Expenses chosen panel solicitor ceased acting suddenly citing an own-interest conflict because I informed the partner of my concerns over the solicitor's conduct in preparing for court proceedings. The evidence of what that particular solicitor had done was all in writing on their files for the partner to see for themselves. And just to be clear, this panel solicitor firm was not DAS Law but another of the very few solicitor panel firms that DAS Legal Expenses work with.
DAS Legal Expenses have then wasted months delaying getting us new legal representation whilst our case, which is in litigation and on a strict timetable, is severely threatened by DAS' complete lack of urgency in their actions. When it became apparent they were being extremely slow to get another solicitor on board in a very urgent situation they offered to process a complaint. I took them up on this as nothing else seemed to be getting them moving. However, they were sure to then take the maximum time allowed (8 weeks) before sending me a response which came up with a completely different story on why we lost our solicitor to make me look unreasonable but the customer complaints manager’s recount of events bore no relation to what I had experienced or discussed with DAS and what DAS claims team had acknowledged and discussed with me.
The main things I have learned from this which I hope will help others are:
1. Make sure you record all calls with DAS Legal Expenses. Although they say they record all calls and you can request recordings, what I have found is that the critical calls which you need to prove what has really happened don't always get sent. Luckily for me I learned this from past experience of them so this time I recorded the critical call along with many others so I have the comfort of having my own record of the true events. I could do this because they say at the start of their calls 'calls may be recorded' so it is perfectly legal to record the calls. Just make sure you get that permission recorded at the start of your call and stop them to ask them for permission if you dont hear it said.
The important part of a critical call was not provided by DAS when I received call recordings I had requested. They had cut it short. Therefore, they probably thought they could get away with giving a different recount of events as there would be no evidence. Bad luck DAS, I recorded the full call including the part of my call you had excluded from your recording!!
2. The other thing I have learned is that it can be extremely difficult to move solicitor with DAS Legal Expenses even after proceedings are issued. You are supposed to have freedom of choice then but they made it very difficult to move when we wanted to after I informed them I had concerns about how the case was being handled by their chosen panel solicitor. Eventually the solicitor dumped us for reasons that were not our fault but theirs and were linked with the very poor service that should have rang alarm bells with DAS if they monitored their panel solicitors like they claim to do.
Since then, DAS have compromised our case by leaving us without legal representation and advice for months whilst the other side takes advantage of this. Given it was their own panel solicitor that badly let us down you'd think they would have moved quickly to plug the gap with another legal representative wouldn't you? But, no, they have strung us along for months.
I have also discovered they seem to have a vested interest of some sort in the other side's case too which leaves me wondering to what extent they are engineering things to suit themselves.
Based on my experience of DAS Legal Expenses, I don't think 'First for justice' is the right slogan for them.
I needed help from the insurance and the lawyer was not interested in my case; was not sure about the information; provided wrong information and didn't get back to correct it (I found it later myself). After my call to the insurance company and realising that they won't be of hlep, the lawyer from the DAS insurance just got back to me to ask whether they can close the case.
I can not even put in words how much I am disappointed in this company.
They have my case since January. In this period I have got the 3. representative, and all of them what have done, is only studying the case. The 3. said he takes the case, but he goes for holiday.
Seriously?
It sims they just do not care. All of them get paid, but got done nothing. Is it how companies are treating theirs client?
The people who pays theirs salary?
I am curious how would they feel if they would be the one how is just been throwing around between representative if it would be about theirs life.
I think, they do not worry about the clients mental health, because they got paid, no matter what.
The quality of a company, have been created via theirs workers.
It seems all of it, is really low!
