This business should be more aptly named "Beds n Nightmares".
When a genuine issue arises, the staff at this business attempt to override consumer rights and instead revert to pushy tactics to try and upsell and extract more money from the customer. Staff actively avoid the issues raised, including cheap workmanship and defective products.
Purchased a bed and quickly discovered that their beds are characterised by the use of cheap internal material and lack solid construction. Be prepared for items that do not adequately match their description and items to be marked as sale stock in a bid to secure a quick buck - regardless of flaws and the potential safety risks to customers.
There is no genuine regard for customers or the customer experience, which is appalling.
Will never but from this business again nor recommend it to anyone else.

The bed that arrived was much firmer than the display model in the showroom. After 3 mornings of waking up with a sore back I emailed the store. The manager who was initially happy to take our $2750 basically said no to swapping the firm for the medium. I have a mattress protector, sheepskin protector and feather pillow topper on it and it still feels like I’m sleeping on the floor.
He basically said that he would give me a “good deal” if I came in and bought another one!
I’ll never step foot in that store again and tell everyone about my experience with their terrible company.
Beds n Dreams is a nightmare.
Bought a $3000 mattress fit for the Queen from Beds n Dreams at Aspley. Sales woman was very persuasive. The clinch was the “You have 12 months to decide if you like the mattress”. Hypnos will alter it for you at no charge.
Mattress arrived and it was so high that my wife struggled to get onto to bed. It was nothing like the model we tried in the store.
When I returned to store the next morning the salesman asked if I had slept on the bed. If it has been slept on there are no returns. How do you know if a mattress is suitable if you don’t sleep on it. The mattress was covered by the protector provided by them.
When I said the mattress doesn’t feel the same, we had no problem getting on it in store. “Show me your measurements. Prove it is higher than the one in store. Then he offered to sell me a bed to lower the height of the mattress”.
Needless to say I didn’t take the offer.

3 years on and I hate it even more than I initially did
We had purchased a new home and visited the home megamall at Auburn to do some research and walked into Beds n Dreams. This was back in March 2021.
The instore purchase from Auburn seemed positive. We left the store happy with the service provided. They are good at selling. They upsold me a 'Silent Night Onyx' in medium firmness mattress and 'The Block Bed' gas-lift bed and matching bed size tables. They told me the bed and side tables were made out of hardwood (mountain ash). They also talked us out of getting a plush mattress and convinced us to get the medium.
we paid for delivery $80 and an extra $130 for installation.
In June 2021, the items were being delivered. The delivery was awful and the worst I have ever experienced. Some young guys who clearly didn't know what they were doing and looked like they were still high from the night before arrived. They didn't install the gas-lift properly. They had installed parts upside down, bent components and didn't complete the installation. They also didn't get the mattress up the stairwell leaving us with a problem (which was fixed by paying the guys who delivered our fridge later that day from harvey norman to do it. They had it done in a couple of minutes). When we called the store manager to complain he cried and said you don't know how tough it is for him and made a bunch of excuses about the delivery.
so after having to fix the various failures by beds n dreams we get to sleep on the mattress. Its harder than the medium mattress we tried in store. feels more like a firm mattress. It hasn't gotten better or more comfortable over time. I wake up sore from this bed every day. sometimes I go into our guest room which has our old queen size sleepmaker in it just to get some sleep when the slientnight Onyx feels too uncomfortable. The bed creaks whenever you get out of the bed (even for m sized female).
So i have spent several years being unhappy with the bed but dealing with it. And now to add insult to injury, the wood on one of the bed side tables has started to split on the side on a section that doesn't get any real wear and tear. Turns out what we were told in store was very misleading. It's not solid hardwood its timber veneer. I'm also pretty sure that at the time the website did not say it was veneer as I had looked at the website after being instore. Had I have known it was veneer I would not have bought it.
i have nothing but regret about my purchase from beds n dreams.
I would not recommend them or their products to anyone. They mislead customers and provide poor service.
Beds n Dream…pros and cons
The good: An excellent service experience. Elaine and the team were helpful and knowledgeable.
The not so good: You need to be aware that they only reluctantly refund and then charge a 30% fee for a refund (this was a lot of money on the Sleepmaker Black Onyx!). It is however possible to change the purchased mattress for one within the store for a recovering fee.
Personally I have found that modern mattress design (even where the mattress says that it is mega cool, etc.) creates an uncomfortably warm experience due to the mass of all that foam, gel and stuff. Also don't like body contouring. These things are very difficult to test when lying on a mattress in the shop. So, I ended up returning to a simple coil spring and wool topper mattress with many fewer features but a better experience.

Absolute poor customer service via owner and manager.
I had a faulty bed which is also poor quality using cheap internal material.
I tried to resolve an issue and was told they would order 2 new panels for my gas lift bed after months of waiting as they did say it would take a little while to get in, I emailed and rang after no return contact. I was advised I must pay for the sides and they would not be ordering them till payment was made, not only did I wait months I was told false information. Was getting nowhere.
I would recommend shopping anywhere else.

I went into the Preston store bed and dreams. I was looking to buy a mattress and a bed with it. I went in there there was a bed that I liked, which was a white coloured. I Place the order for the mattress and the bed which I was gonna surprise that bed and mattress with my sister the second day something in me told me to just ask my sister what colour of a bed she prefers instead of white because I remember she doesn’t like white I went in the store and I said can I please change it to any other bed you guys have they said no problem.
Sure you can change it. I change it to a different bed that was material this time instead of wood The bed that I change it to was cheaper than the one I bought previously by 200 the lady in the store said that she’s not gonna refund the 200 because that’s not their store policy I said that’s fine okay she said you can grab a mattress protector or maybe pillows for your money I said that’s okay. I got a pillow and pay the full payment on the day which was on Friday. They said my order should be delivered Tuesday but unfortunately on Monday afternoon they called me saying that sorry there was some misunderstanding the bed that we sold it to you. We don’t even longer sell it any more so we don’t have it so now you have two option if you want to change it to something else or if you want your money refund I said I want refund. They said okay come in store tomorrow on Wednesday 5/4/23 and will refund you.
However, when I went to the store on the next day and it was different story, as the Preston store manager, I forgot her name now said look darling I can only refund you for the bed which was 1200 But I cannot refund you for the mattress. I said if I don’t have a bed what am I gonna do with the mattress? It makes no sense and I reminded her how I said yesterday I want a full refund and over the phone and she agreed with me and said okay come in tomorrow but now she’s saying if she do cut the 30% of from me she will lose her job which not true she was using that as a weapon to make me feel bad and the fact that she said okay come in store tomorrow but she denied it now, and kept on saying sorry that’s our store policy. We cannot do anything about it I said okay then what’s the Nextep? She said the next time is that we take 30% of the mattress, so the mattress was 850 she said I’m gonna cut to 255 off and I’ll refund you the rest I said give me the bed that I ordered with the mattress and I am happy to take it and you don’t have to give me a dollar back but you if you cannot provide the bed that I ordered then how do you take $255 off for me? As the was only fair It was a hectic the customer service was really bad every time I ask if I could speak to someone higher than her she was kept on saying no Therese no you can speak I’m the store manager which was very disrespectful, very rude poor customer service.
I am very very disappointed I don’t know why I put myself through this because they put my friend through hell last year I don’t know why I went in the store to begin with and I don’t know what I was thinking at the time. Please who ever is reading this comment please think twice before you purchase anything from bed n dreams on top of that this is the time where Muslims fast as we Muslims called Ramadan. imagine if last time you had water 6 am in the morning forget about food and at 2 pm someone it’s yelling in your ears Just to get refund and the manager it’s self it’s given you the biggest headache and you’re not even able to take Panadol I don’t understand why they want to take money from me when it’s actually they fault and I said now that you can’t even provide the bed I ordered and you made me place an order something that you don’t even longer carry on your store. How is that my fault, but yet no they gave me the biggest headache. I’m very disappointed.

Bought the Onyx Medium mattress last week from Beds n Dreams South Morang. The in store model was comfortable and seemed suitable. The delivered model sags very badly and through using a spirit level, we demonstrated on video just how badly it sagged. When we went back to the store, after a lot of acrimony with the sales lady (including trying to up sell us another model!!), the store eventually promised a replacement. Instead a delivery guy turned up to take the mattress away to be repaired. Now we have no mattress, no refund and no replacement. Dodgy dodgy dodgy. Do not buy from here!

Faulty Mattress
I purchased a Boston medium mattress which turned into a nightmare. After talking and emailing about my problems they were very quick to respond and replace with a Silent night medium and very happy with the service I received. The original mattress was faulty.
Stay away - Non Friendly
Bought a $1K bed from them, had issues and just called to report the issue. Tom the floor sales executive starlight away said this is the first time they are hearing an issue with any of their beds. Gave me a word document to claim warranty, with an attitude of you are not gonna go anywhere with this warranty as they don't provide any sort of warranty or claims for their bed. I still thought to give it a try and submitted my issues and claims.
Soon after the submission Phon (claims manager from high point) called and said unfortunately the warranty is void due to some unknown reasons.
Stay away from these guys, these people import fake beds from overseas and sell it at top price. They have no respect to their customers, stay away from these people!!!

We bought a mattress for +$1000 on Saturday 24/7/21 sales staff were fabulous. Not in stock, the store requested a delivery from their warehouse to the Cannington store. We were notified the mattress was available to pickup, which we did on the 27/7/21. A quick trip home and we unwrapped the plastic to discover a cringeworthy yellow stain on the underside. I rang the store immediately and emailed through photos of the damage. They responded today 28/7/21 saying they would not be replacing the mattress as it left the store in a 'good condition'. Staff in the store had no way of knowing that for sure, as it was wrapped/sealed in both clear and opaque white plastic. The product is not of acceptable quality to be sold and should never have left the warehouse. It is unacceptable to sell a stained mattress as 'new' and expect people to sleep on it! Please make sure you request them to unwrap the mattress in store and inspect the mattress in full! It is also poor form to not have a customer service team or head office number consumers can contact with issues relating to a store.

Terrible mattress and even worse service. I will not walk through the door of Bed n Dreams osborne park ever again. Unscrupulous sales woman Marie took advantage of me. An elderly woman on her own I have landed up with a 15 inch thick mattress weighing 50 kg. I am am a small built lady in my late 60s My brother was horrified when he saw it and suggested I saw the legs off the bed as I will not be able to get into in a few years it so high. In addition Marie never told me the Bedside drawers and tallboy would arrive 4 months after the bed and giant mattress so I gave away my old ones and am now living out of plastic bags
Bad quality mattresses and service
Wanted to buy a firm mattress and came across beds n dreams in South Morang. What looked like a firm mattress in the showroom, was not at all firm when I received it. Just 2 weeks after using it I started having severe back ache every morning, went to the store and requested for an exchange but to no avail. I have lost my faith in them and do not recommend it at all. Plan to take them to court soon.

I purchased a bed, tallboy, mattress and a pillow. I chose a mattress, which was firm. I was able to get it all in one deal. They gave me the wrong mattress that was cheaper than the one I paid for. In the invoice they wrote the cheaper mattress instead of the one I paid for. I wasn’t aware of the different model numbers but the one they did write down wasn’t the one I wanted. The tallboy was also already damaged before I received it. I have asked the manager for a refund and he is very rude. I recommend not purchasing anything from bed n dreams to anyone in the community.

We bought a bed, side tables and a tall boy, when the furniture was delivered the delivery truck hit our electric fence button, they did not tell us this had happened, i only noticed it when i went out a couple of hours later. we have tried for months to get them to pay for the repairs that their delivery people have done and nothing has been done. Brenton the Manager is a liar, he kept promising that it is going through insurance and we have heard nothing. We have taken it further and hopefully it will actually cost them more than just fixing the problem when it happened. Out of principle i will never shop there again and i don't recommend any of my friends to shop there either

wow cannot believe that you cannot leave a zero stars because that is what this company deserves. bed has had a bed smell since day one now it is all mouldy and they say "it's the environment it's in" what a crock of poo completely renovated house with new carpets and windows open all the time!!! terrible customer service both m managers off today!! and an owner who doesn't seem to care about the customers who put money in his pocket. seem quite happy for you to sleep on one of there mouldy beds because it's too much trouble to get somebody to come and look at it as a matter of urgency. avoid this company at all costs.
