Multiple Verification for Minor Issue…
I had a small claim (about $200) for a health issue on board a cruise. The ship's doctor had quarantined me for a day and I had verification of the charges but AON wouldn't pay unless I verified that Medicare wouldn't cover it. It is a known fact that Medicare wouldn't cover out of the country charges and it would have cost the government more money than it was worth to verify that. I gave up which I assume is what they wanted!
Customer service so bad you’ll think you’re being pranked
Customer service so bad you’ll think you’re being pranked.
I can’t fathom how or why the service is so bad, but it honestly feels like the customer service reps are being financially incentivised to stop you accessing your account/requesting transfers.
Each person you speak to, whether via online chat, email or phone is less helpful than the last, and all very rude.
I’m desperately trying to transfer my funds out of this pension provider into any other, and suggest anyone else unfortunate enough to have a fund with them does the same, if they can (which feels impossible atm)!
If I could score pension customer…
If I could score pension customer services I would .
Been trying to access my pension for months being deliberately blocked .
I would not recommend a pension with this company .
Week after week I have made 30 calls and still no clarity . Tony Fletcher
Worst option
Hello, we purchased insurance through Hanaley, with several coverage options.
One of the points, specifically point 30, is listed as a delay in returning home. Well, we arrived 9.5 hours late due to the plane delay.
Once we submitted all the documentation, the company washed its hands of it and, under a false pretext, told us it didn't apply.
We felt helpless. When you purchase insurance for your honeymoon, you do so precisely to be covered for all possible scenarios.
Likewise, with a broken suitcase at customs, we find ourselves in the same situation. The company washes its hands and shirks its responsibility.
We demand compliance with the coverage.
Not true to their advertising
Our flight was delayed twice before getting changed with an arrival time of an hour after our cruise was scheduled, at that point we cancelled our cruise. Claim was filed the next day with request documents provided, we got a reply 4 days later requesting documents from the airline another wait to get that from the airline but it was provided. Documents went to insurance, no word back until I contacted them., then they wanted documents for expenses, I called then and told them there were no documents for expenses except for cruise and excursions. Claim denied 4 days later stating not responsible for airline delays. NCL booked airlines . Seems as though they look for any excuse not to pay for what they're getting paid to do.
Appaling pensions administration
Administration of my late father in law's BMW pension has been simply appalling, 6 months since his death and they continue to introduce hurdles and blockers to avoid paying a pension to his widow. Their complaints department "blanked" my complaint which detailed numerous mistakes, untruths and hurdles. We remain in deadlock.
Offers terrible customer support
Well it's disappointing that such a company lacks the most basic ethics of customer service.

Do not trust this insurance broker
Do not trust this insurance broker, especially their VP of commercial insurance who is deceptive, rude, and very unprofessional.
Avoid using this company
Terrible terrible company requested lump sum payment 7 months ago and still no payment please avoid this company , will be contacting the pensions ombudsman regarding this whole debacle,
Get your pension moved. It's worth it on lots of levels!
One of the worst experiences you could possibly imagine, whether its by email or phone. They just love to be awkward and dismissive, even by cutting your off however they can shut you down, that is there goal!
Don't invest your money with AON!!!
Don't invest your money with AON!!!
My experience is that their fees are extortionate. Unlike many other providers I couldn't get an up to date online valuation of my pension fund with them without asking for one. Once I got the valuation I decided to move my fund to another provider. When I requested the transfer they then insisted on charging me £300 for this because it meant I was asking for another valuation within a year.
I believe £300 was disproportionate to the amount of effort required but when I made a complaint they insisted they were entitled to charge that amount.
One star is too much for AON
One star is too much for AON. My god they are inept, useless and corrupt.
Took weeks to get a pension plan and find its lost 80% of its value.
WTF AON cannot be trusted with money shocking and I’m going to sue them for losses.
Spoke with a customer service agent who had not t got a clue. Avoid these people and just avoid pensions full stop.

Wish I could give zero stars

Cashing out pension was told they will take 14 days to send out forms when chased up today was then told the post office take up to 10days to deliver documents
Called 0800 Aon and got Zero/Zip/Nada
Called the 0800 Aon line and spoke to someone who sounded like he knew nothing - & couldn't care less. Then said Aon doesn't cover mixed dwellings with a business - even though it's a residential unit with an individual title & doesn't share any access, wiring or anything at all with said business. So, I said in that case I'll look elsewhere for another insurer for my 3 properties - expecting a 'no, don't leave loyal, long time customer,' but he said fine, let me know when you want to cancel. Found a way better insurer who was eager for my business - with lower premiums to boot.
apparently they value feedback and take…
apparently they value feedback and take complaints seriously, I am waiting on funds since May on a closed policy and they have not responded to my complaint and it appears bothered to respond to any of the feedback on this platform. As induvial we normally have no choice but to go wit the pension option given by our employee. I guess AON know this and quite frankly do not care about what we think. My advise take all your pensions out and stop these fat cats creaming off your hard earnt money.
Worst customer service I've had
Workaon in nz used by my job for injury recovery, worst customer service I've come across in a long time. Case manager couldn't be bothered to ring me.
A few wrinkles in the beginning, but got it sorted in the end.
Despite my previous misgivings of Aon's service so far - triplication of paperwork, delays in returning ID documents etc., it seems things have suddenly improved, so I have chosen to edit my review. Faced with the prospect of delaying my drawdown (final pension transaction from my previous employer has still not been received), they offered me the option to leave a small sum in my pension account to keep it open and to transfer the bulk of it into drawdown. Having accepted that offer by email this morning, I received a telephone call from a very helpful chap this afternoon calling to confirm if I was happy with everything and to inform me that they will execute the transaction tomorrow and that I should receive my tax free lump sum within a couple of weeks!
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Staff don’t seem interested to work nor reply to any email or calls. Regret buying insurance from them but silly REIV simply partnered with AON - they should just close shop and don’t blame on others when you lose your job. Appalling & absolutely zero service.
Amazing customer service from Patrick.
hands down the worst company I've had the misfortune to deal with
I'm in the 6th month of transferring my pension to a new provider. The amount of information I've provided to date must exceed 50 pages, and I'm now being asked for more information to extract the remaining small amount. It takes a minimum of two weeks to get any sort of reply from the customer "service" team. Frustrating and inept. I will truly be happy to see my pension out of their hands and with a more professional and responsive company. I'm seriously considering writing this amount off rather than have to deal with any more of this nonsense.
