Continues to be disappointing
Staff are amazing, Jordon, Will, Thomasz, Jenny, Beth, Keri all deserve a mention.
Last Sunday morning there were no lights in the showers and toilets in the women's changing room, half of the plug sockets do not work, the hair dryers are poor so much so I have purchased my own to use and the changing room is cold.
The new studio that has just opened has no insulation under the floor, the 'heating' is controlled by reception, its drafty and totally unsuitable for a yoga class. The plunge pool that was a 'new' addition back in the summer is out of order more times than it is working.
Cannot wait for the price increase in January!!
Best gym in Bracknell!
Great facilities and lots of classes. Good sized pool. Love the aqua classes. All the instructors are good. Staff are always really helpful. Coffee afternoons and social events are good too.
Expensive for what you get!
Expensive for what you get and there’s a 90 paid cancellation period.
Worst gym ever village solihull
Worst gym ever village solihull. If you want your car stolen, personal information breached. Ignored by management, lied to. This is the gym for you. Poor hygiene standards. Cerri worst operations manager to deal with any complaint lies and does not follow procedure and compromise your safety as a female. Loads of fights in gym due to high staff turnover and hiring kids that have no clue. There cameras do not work.
The staff at the Shirley branch
The staff at the Shirley, Solihull branch are lovely . A big thank you to Kerry B for helping me today :)
Missing Lisa.
Myself and Many members are missing Lisa who Teaches our Aqua Sessions at Cheadle Gym .
Especially myself , she prepared my fitness and strength before my knee replacement and after. In the Gym she told you how to use the equipment Properly and Safely She gives you so much Motivation in all aspects of fitness in the Gym she is very professional in every aspect . In Aqua she is watching every member and pushes you to your limits.
We need her back doing Aqua she is missed very much .
A good gym with all specs available.

have never experienced such appalling and discriminatory behaviour from a place that claims to be welcoming and community-focused. The staff at this gym have shown a shocking lack of respect and professionalism — their attitude made me feel targeted and unwelcome because of who I am.
What’s worse is how dismissive they were when I tried to address it. Instead of listening, they doubled down and acted as though I was the problem. That’s not just bad service — that’s bias and prejudice on display.
No one should pay for a membership only to be treated differently or unfairly. This gym needs serious accountability, staff training, and a change in culture. Until then, I’d strongly advise anyone who values respect and equality to stay far away from this place.
Village Dudley
Great energy with Kirsty Mitchinson at Dudley village gym this morning and this evening, box and burn was brilliant with Kirsty encouraging us all the way through the class.
Really enjoyed the workout thank you Kirsty 🫶🏻
Great classes but atrocious communication and customer service during renovations
I really enjoy the classes, which is entirely due to the great instructors, but the communication and organisation of the actual gym is just atrocious!
- Firstly they have a rule that you have to cancel a class 4 HOURS beforehand otherwise you face a penalty (3 penalties and you are banned from booking classes for a period of time). I understand the need for this rule but 4 hours is unfair and excessive.
- Secondly they are currently doing up one of the studios which means that the classes have halved in capacity. Very little has been done to provide extra spaces or classes for those of us who cannot get into our usual classes and communication about this has been non-existent.
- Thirdly, the communication generally is appalling. They don't respond to complaints and don't seem to care too much what their members think. I realise that sometimes it is a head office decision and not down to branch staff but everything could still be communicated and handled better.

Mainly go to the gym first thing in the morning, all the staff in reception are fantastic, a nice welcome is always given , Dali is a shining star and makes everyone welcome when arriving.

I have just given notice to cancel my gym membership after my 12 month contract. I had a call to say that is is a 90 day notice period. So really it isn’t a 12 month contract it is a 15 month contract. Absolutely disgusting and I will not use this gym again.
Village Gym Farnborough
Dear Village Gym Management,
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the current state of Studio 1, particularly the "burn room." The excessively high temperatures are creating an unsafe and unproductive environment for members, we also have to wedge fire doors open to gain air flow.
The recent incidents of fainting are alarming and indicate a critical failure in maintaining suitable conditions for physical activity. The inadequacy of the provided fans and the expectation for members to refill water tanks are insufficient and frankly, unacceptable solutions.
Furthermore, the cleanliness of Studio 1 is well below acceptable standards. The presence of hair and dirt on the floors, where members are expected to exercise, is unhygienic and reflects poorly on the gym's commitment to providing a clean workout environment.
It has also come to my attention that the new management does not consider the lack of air conditioning a priority. This is deeply concerning, as it demonstrates a disregard for the well-being and satisfaction of gym members.
Additionally, the lack of engagement from gym assistants, who often appear preoccupied with their phones, is a missed opportunity to maintain cleanliness and connect with members. Their initiative in cleaning the studios after each class would greatly improve the overall gym experience.
I urge you to address these issues immediately to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all members. Until these problems are resolved, I cannot recommend Village Gym to others.
Think carefully ... it's not cheap
I've been a member for a few months in Farnborough and tbh I'm struggling. I've been given a workout program that was put together with no reference to my goals, I can never get near one of the pieces of equipment as some other members have built a whole workout around this single piece of equipment, I can't work out how to use the app properly, cancellation of classes is hit and miss through the app, there never seems to be anyone available to help me with sorting out my workouts on the app without booking a consultation a week in advance, the phone just rings and rings and I often end up having to ring two or three times before someone answers. I'm older and need a bit of help with some moves in classes due to physical issues but there is rarely any help in pilates, yoga or body balance. I've completely lost my confidence with going now. I'm paying £68 a month for very little. I expected a more supportive and encouraging environment given the cost. It's a nice facility but the staff seem uninterested. I only ever seem to see youngsters that are hanging around reception. The qualified staff aren't seen unless they are in a class. I want to cancel but it's a 3 month cancellation period and I can't afford to pay to go somewhere else during that period.
Avoid
Avoid. Outdated, Slow to fix facilities, high turnover, poor communication/customer service.
Member for over 1 year, had difficulties leading to no fixed abode, told them and they continued to charge, extending a fixed term plan according to "terms" you are not shown when signing up.
Greedy Company.
Ive had a membership I barely used for over a year, each time I went something was out of order, then policies coming in about being able to use my phone and laptop near the pool, overall a bit of a joke of a gym so I decided to cancel. to top this all off you have to give three months notice to cancel, just feels like absolute greed to me. Il never go back and never stay, hope everyone is the same.
Easily the best gym for miles around
Easily the best gym for miles around. I use the Eastleigh gym. Great atmosphere, always clean, staff friendly and always around to help. Extensive class timetable.
Unfortunately
Unfortunately, I feel compelled to write this review again. Walsall Gym continues to disappoint. Once more, the air conditioning in the women’s changing rooms isn’t working, making it unbearably hot. Are cleaners even assigned to these areas? The changing rooms are dirty, and the gym equipment hasn’t been properly cleaned—I’ve noticed sweat and water accumulating on the bases of machines for weeks. The charges keep rising, yet the quality seems to be getting worse.
Village gym Dudley - poor
Village gym Dudley
Extremely expensive and service doesn’t come close to matching the cost.
The family & disabled changing rooms are a disgrace! Missing tiles, Broken toilet seats, leaking shower, no toilet roll or soap, clogged drains, rubbish and hair all over the floor.
Also the swimming pool for the last year has been really cold on most visits.
Pool staff let guests do whatever they want - running and jumping, eating in the sauna, groups of young men messing about throwing each other in the pool, couples getting amorous. They just don’t care.
The only good things I can say -the actual gym is quite big and has a lot of equipment, there’s also a lot of classes.
