Stayed in Woody.
Location was good, it was secluded and quiet. However getting to the location meant going up a farm track and through a total of 5 farm gates, most of which were closed. This was ok as the weather was fine but I would not want to do this in poor weather and we left the site couple of times a day.
The cabin itself was a good idea and layout works however there were several issues;
- the parking for the cabin was under oak trees which meant constant acorns falling on my car. Not very well thought out and lucky no damage that I could see has been caused.
- the toilet absolutely reeked. Yes it is a compostable toilet but they shouldn’t smell like that.
- you pay the equivalent of £140 a night to have no heating and essentially get charged extra for heating. The log burner is the only source of heating and they give you enough kindling and wood for one night and then want to charge you £20 for more. This should be included in the price. No where else would you pay for a room or cabin and an additional extra is heating. Because there is no regular dry heat source in the cabin it constantly had a cold damp feel about it. Both my wife and I have come away from the location ill and the damp has probably contributed to this. If the log burner is going to be a novelty then you need to think how to keep the cabin dry and liveable. The window in the bathroom was black from rot and mould.
- it wasn’t the cleanest. There was toothpaste spit all up the blind in the toilet. The log burner was full of ash and wood. The blinds by the bed were dirty and broken. We had to wash up items first to be able to use them as they were dirty.
Overall i liked the idea and concept of these cabins but cleanliness and execution needs to improve. They make them picture perfect for Instagram but then don’t maintain them to that standard.

We stayed at Bella for 3 nights and it was lush, situated in the woodlands with great views! The cabin was well stocked and very cozy, would defiantly stay there again but also feel inspired to try a different Unplugged location.

We had an amazing stay at Russell. After a few days of travelling Cornwall we came to stay at the cabin and immediately switched off from the time we arrived. The view is unbelievable and cabin itself is super comfortable. Instructions to the site were easy and the guide sent beforehand was really useful. Would definitely recommend!

A Magical Stay at Russell Cabin – A Home Away from Home
Our little family had the most unforgettable stay at Russell Cabin. Tucked away in the heart of Exmoor, this cosy retreat was everything we hoped for – peaceful, picturesque, and full of charm.
The views are simply breathtaking – endless rolling hills, dramatic skies, and the kind of quiet that instantly puts you at ease. It's the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Inside, the cabin is warm, beautifully kept, and thoughtfully designed. The fireplace quickly became the heart of our stay – we spent our evenings unwinding beside it, enjoying the warmth and comfort after days out exploring.
A special mention goes to Tes, the lovely host’s dog, who was an absolute delight! Friendly, gentle, and always happy to greet us – she added such a personal and heartwarming touch to our stay.
Russell Cabin truly felt like a hidden gem – ideal for couples or small families looking to escape the rush of everyday life. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

Unplugged at Cabilla was a wonderful restorative weekend that I can highly recommend. Beautiful location and amazing care.

We had the most amazing trip and really really enjoyed our cabin with unplugged! We stayed in the Merlin cabin in North Wales and the location was perfect, so close and accessible to some amazing sites. Merlin was super easy to drive to and locate in dark and at day time.
The cabin itself had literally everything we needed, shower was amazing and warm with great pressure, didn't run out of any products and we loved cooking in the little kitchen.
The bed was super comfy and we loved reading next to the big window and playing the games we bought (and ones provided by the cabin).
I was a little nervous about the locking away devices but it was a really welcome experience. And the cabin had great signal and charging ports for when we needed access to our devices!
We used the firepit outside at night for some reading and drinks by the fire and it was great. Loved that we were able to bring out own bits and buy extra firewood if we needed it.
The value for money with our trip was amazing, stayed in the most beautiful cozy spot for four nights and five days for only £450 with their discount and it was soooo worth it.
Will be recommending these cabins to all friends and family and 100% staying again in another location to explore!

The instructions on how to get to the cabin were really clear and easy to follow, I stayed at Woody in the new forest and it was just lovely! The drive up to the parking area passed by a sheep field which was lovely although you do have to open and close quite a few gates which i didn’t mind. The cabin itself was beautiful had enough firewood too last me three nights too!! The bed was the comfiest thing ever i genuinely have never slept so well probably helped by the no phone. I spent my time listening to the radio and cooking which was lovely and so peaceful. On my last night i was woken around midnight to the most beautiful suprise ever… i opened the cabin door to two beautiful horsies munching grass just outside!! Overall i definitely recommend this cabin and would definitely stay again! The only thing that stops me from putting 5 stars is the fact there was no map included so i unfortunately had to go on my phone when i wanted to leave the cabin and go to the shop although the team have already apologised for this!

Truly awful, cabin was boiling hot and track up to the cabin damaged my car to the point of totalling. Company refused to take any responsibility despite my 6 week old daughter being in the car during a potentially life threatening incident. Avoid at all costs.

I genuinely cannot put into words how incredible this company is. They provide the most incredible package to help you switch off from the world in the most beautiful, cosy cabins. Myself and my fiance had an amazing 4 day stay. Being from London, we were worried we would be completely out of our depth, but the step-by-step guides for everything are so simple to follow. We were able to light fires, roast marshmallows, reconnect with each other, and detach from the outside noise of the world.
We are absolutely joining the membership programme, as we plan on doing at least 2 trips a year with Unplugged going forward. We were genuinely so sad to leave the cabin, but can't wait to explore the other cabins they have to offer - especially the ones with the sauna and cold plunge pools!
The Unplugged team are so attentive, and think of everything you need to switch off. I have recommended them to all my friends and family, who are booking trips of their own as we speak!
Well done Unplugged, and a huge thank you from myself and my partner. Keep doing what you're doing!

We stayed at Stanley - it was such a nice cabin and the area is lovely! 10 min walk from parking and houses, no people walking past, just the farmer occasionally turning the hay on the field. We saw flocks of deer every day and really enjoyed the forest and stream behind the cabin.
The cabin design is well thought through and I especially love that it's completely solar powered. It made us feel so relaxed we wish we could have stayed forever!

We stayed at the Wilbur cabin. Our break was just what we were looking for. Booking process simple, contact with Unplugged always available (we texted them from the cabin and got a prompt response), cabin was well kitted out and gave us a lovely weekend, celebrating together, away from busy city life. Our dog loved it too! Good location, bonus hot tub too, thumbs up all round!

Like it in theory but they lack professionalism. I reached out to work together but despite multiple follow-ups, I was completely ignored for months. They eventually confirmed they received the emails, and will be in touch in future, without apology. This experience left me feeling disappointed in their lack of professionalism and communication. People should be aware of this before investing (and wasting) their time.

A great experience from booking, welcome pack, arriving (needed some help and the team was great) and the cabin is just lovely. Stayed in a super beautiful quite spot, can’t recommend an Unplugged get away enough, a truly great experience 💜

We saw the stars!
We stayed at Bronwyn in North Wales. It was secluded, but the familiar sounds of sheep and cows, and the sightings of hares, was comforting. The best bits were the comfy bed, the roaring fire under the stars, and the proximity to the main towns. We took a day trip to Conwy which was only half an hour away. WE WILL BE BACK!
I had an amazing experience in Wales!
From start to finish it was all thought through - from the beautiful locations, views, directions to logistics and the cabin itself is just set up so great.
The memories you make there as well are just so special, I went by myself and truly felt so connected to myself and nature. I can only imagine how incredible it would be with someone else too.
I explored the town, did some hikes and watched sunsets from super comfy bed!
I really recommend this whether you want to do it solo or with someone. I just wish I did it for longer ha, I will be back!
A brilliant getaway, stunning views and a great location. We stayed in Bronwyn (on the same site as Merlin) and it’s in a great location, just a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Betws-y-Coed and a 30 minute drive from Snowdon.
The cabin had gorgeous views of the Welsh countryside. The cabin was clean and staff were helpful when we had any issues. I would really recommend this experience to anyone who needs a real switch off and destress. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Loved the experience! The cabin's design is great. One of the best bed and bedsheets I have slept in my life. The area is stunningly beautiful, and the concept of locking your phone away in such a beautiful space makes everything so special. Thank you!
We adored our unplugged stay! The views and surrounding nature were absolutely stunning, and the cabin was incredibly well-equipped for our stay. Communication before and after our stay was 10/10, and we loved the chance for a digital detox too. We would definitely recommend, and we will hopefully be back soon! Thank you.
It’s such a lovely and peaceful stay. Loved the comfy bed next to the big window. The off-grid stay was really needed after some stressful times. Nearby Heidi there are few amazing National trust properties you could check out. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely trip away to Willow near Tunbridge Wells. The setting was beautiful, and the cabin very comfortable and well equipped including a good choice of books and decent knives/pans/etc. We locked our phones away the whole stay which was wonderful! We also used the map and compass to get to a local pub for lunch, we got completely lost on the way there but all part of the fun! Customer service was also great at all stages of booking.
We had a few issues which I understand are being looked at - the fridge froze all our food, and the “hot” water was just warm and temperamental. Neither spoilt the stay, but not ideal either. I’d recommend trying to limit what you take - there is a big drawer under the bed to store bags, but we still ended up having to move stuff around a lot depending on where we wanted to sit! I also wouldn’t advise taking a big dog - our medium sized dog and his bed took up half the floor space! Overall a really nice break away from modern life, would definitely recommend.
