Totally Horrible Service!


Totally Horrible Service!
I wish I could give this service a zero stars.

My account is on auto-pay, yet every single month it gets disconnected. When I call, customer service has no idea how to fix the problem or restore my service. I’ve spoken to them countless times, and nothing ever gets resolved.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Do not go with Total by Verizon — the service is absolutely terrible!

Totally horrible!!!!!

Totally horrible!!!!!! I haven't been able to even watch an ad lately!!!! Since they took over Total wireless the service has gone from a 10 to not even a 1, if I could give them a quarter of a star I would!!! Definitely do not go with Total by Verizon!!!! They are truly screwing their customers!!! I cannot emphasize this enough!!! I have talked to them many man times an they can never ever help you!!!

Total by verizon is horrible

I was with total wireless for years. I loved it! Great customer service, short wait period, no problems with anything . I even added 3 lines had great service. A couple of months ago my mobile data stopped working . After several attempts to talk to someone and hours of waiting on hold, I get a service rep and after 3 hours on the phone with him my phone was working fine for a week or so and then no mobile data internet again and I have spent numerous hours on hold waiting on customer rep. 2 hours one day 3 hours one day gave up no one comes to talk to me. So I thought chat was worth a shot , it took me over an hour to speak wirh real person on chat . Didn't help me at all , I tried again few days later , guy told me he was reprogramming my phone told me a apn to put in and told me to turn it off for at least 10 minutes which I did and when I turned phone back on , my mobile data was working again. But next day when I'm trying to send a picture on message it wouldn't let me send or recieve and it was working just fine until he reprogrammed my phone. So I set my phone to default in message settings and the picture went thru but I had no mobile internet again. Needless to say I hate total by verizon. They are one sorry company . I even tried having them call me back and wouldn't you know it, I got the phone call back and was automatically put on hold for over 2 hours before I hung up . So after being a loyal customer of total wireless for years, I think its time to go back to straight talk!

Actually giving them a 1 star is being nice. I ordered an Apple se phone with the assistance of an agent on the phone. This was 4:14/25. I still have not received the product or any updated information on it. So today 5/6/25 I chatted with an agent who tells me that it is out of stock and no idea when it will be in so why did they not tell me when I ordered it 3 weeks ago? I asked to cancel my order and they refused stating they can’t do on their end. Said I would have to wait on it to come in and refuse it so I can get my money back. This is absolutely idiotic. Why should I have to wait longer for a product I ordered weeks ago? The customer agent on the chat line was talking like I was stupid and she waited over 6 mins to reply to me after I replied when in a minute. This company is a complete joke. All I wanted was to get my money back and move on to something else. I have another phone I ordered and got with in 2 weeks and it has not been activated so now I am sending that one back and buying from somewhere else who respects the customer that pays their wages and keeps them employed.

Never use TOTAL by VERIZON.

My name is Brian. On 3-30-25, I paid $36.00 for another month of pre paid phone service. Well, Everytime I pay; they tell you to turn phone off then back on. I turn phone off and back on. Well my data and talk and text didn't work. It took me 2 hours to stay on the phone ( using my room mates phone) while Verizon said their system was messed up. I'm a Uber driver, and after 2 hours of waiting for the phone to work. I lost a Uber customer on a $23 ride. So I got connected to the boss lady of Verizon who said her name was Vivian (probably not her real name) She told me that she could not give me any kind of discount or reimbursement for the 2 hours of losing my business, $23 and phone service. (My homeboys girl thought he was cheating on her bc I couldn't answer the phone bc I was on it with Verizon) I explained to Verizon that I lost business and money. Vivian from Verizon told me that she would not do anything for my loss off money and business.Nor would she not give me her employee # again when I asked. Then, the month bf that; I only got 27 days of service before Verizon shut my phone off. Word to the wise: " Never use TOTAL BY VERIZON for pre paid phone service...

Do not get this plan. ever.

Absolutely terrible customer service line and is not being helpful in the process of transferring my phone to another carrier. They are refusing to send me a transfer pin and my account number, thus making it impossible to transfer.

For service totalverizon is the worst

I guess TotalbyVerizon updated there terms on the due date. What it means is that if your due date is February 18, then your payment is due on February 17. Which in English, Spanish, French, Indian, or Chinese does not make sense. I made the decision to reach them by chat to find out why my phone is off when my due date is on February 18. I finally got an agent to chat with me after about seven or eight minutes of waiting. I guess they are busy and probably not the only ones calling about this today. The person's name was Sofia Abigail. My question was, "Why is my phone off if its due day is today?"? She responded with, "Just make your payment.". I responded back with, "I understand, and I will pay it, but can you answer my question in regards to if its due today, why is my phone being cut off prior to the due date?". She responded back with "just pay" and ended the chat conversation.
I was shocked, and I felt like crap, like, what did I do to merit a chat end call? Its funny, but it was not to me at the time. So I did my own review; that took me like 20 minutes to do. I came to the conclusion that they updated there terms, like, 2 or 3 months ago. I guess they want to cheat folks and have them pay the reactivation fee. State the due date one day, but it has to be paid the day before. Like most customers like me and most if its the due date i have until that day to pay on that day.

I don't understand why Total has customer service that refuses to answer customer questions. when that's what they are paid for. I'm like, what's the point of contacting these folks if you are not going to get customer service? They want to treat customers like a piece of crap. That's how I felt. Like I get cut off from a chat line. Like, I was not rude, but now I'm lit in that sense. Why did this lady or man hang up on me? That she knows we, that customer, are the ones paying for your salary. The owners are making money from the customers. Your going to lose customers because this company refuses to pay for good customer service. I'm debating never coming back to this company. The phone's service in most cases is okay, but customer service sucks. The language barrier, folks that take 5 minutes to answer a question because of the language barrier. I do not recommend it, and in the last couple of months, the service has gone up about $5 extra on every plan. I guess they are not making money as a company, and to accomplish this goal, they are adding $5 and hopefully getting more customers like me to mess on the due date than charging them the reconnection fee. but my mom thought me better. im not going back

Horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. I could barely understand their broken English. Abnormal delay in responding to my questions and then the response had nothing to do with my question. A lot of distracting background noise. They might as well shut down their customer (dis)service operations because it's literally a useless function. There's no help, you're on your own so good luck. This is Verizon's idea of customer service. I would be embarrassed to be associated with Verizon.

They sold me a broken phone then strung me a long for weeks until I found it was outside of the return time and refused to give me money back.total by version is Unscrupulous do yourself a favor stay away from total by version. There call center is outside of the U.S. and I can not understand them when they speak

Elderly mothers phone was deactivated too soon! Switching from my total Verizon to Consumer Cellular thought I was ordering to SIM cards but one was an eSIM which happened to be my elderly mothers. So my mother has no communication know during a snow storm and I'm 15 miles from her. Consumer Cellular was great and gave me the account # and transfer pin to transfer line back to Verizon. I wanted to activate both lines at the same time. Verizon was very unhelpful 1st they told me the # didn't exist and the agent was ready to hang up and I had to explain again that I had account # and pin#. So after processing toid me it would take 24 hrs?? No way to expedite?? Should have explained before he did it it would take that long? Don't understand how it took 2 minutes to activate to Consumer Cellular but going back to Verizon 24 hrs?? Glad I'm leaving Verizon! The original reason for leaving Verizon was unable to pay bill for the past 2 months through their app? Had to purchase through Walmart! And waiting for customer service is ridiculous and I'm sorry can't understand their agents due to language barriers? Consumer Cellular no wait and I called them 4 times!! I understand that my 2 account doesn't affect Verizon but have some compassion! Especially for the elderly! Glad I found Consumer Cellular they went out of their way to help! Consumer Cellular agent even contacted a supervisor to expedite the transaction! I would give Verizon 0 stars if I could! I had even switched my Internet from them years ago because nothing but issues? No issues with new carrier!

Customer service are complete clowns.

This is seemingly a good price for the service, HOWEVER, I'd rather use a pigeon to send letters than EVER talk to customer service again. It would take less time and be wayyyy less frustrating.
I'm convinced after 3 hours of talking to them I'm more capable of doing their job. Incompetent to the point of it feeling like the twilight zone. I wish their customer service could legitimately lose their jobs. THANKS! For nothing.

Don't buy it.

I bought a prepaid sim card and airtime. I spent about 3hrs on the phone trying to get it activated. They said they can't find the sim card in their system then said it won't activate when they did find it. Nobody knows what they are doing or how I can get a refund!

Do not waste your time with Total

I bought a Total prepaid phone through Verizon. It has been a nightmare. I have been without a working phone for 48 hours and have spent hours trying to problem solve. Finally decided to return the phone because no one could help me resolve the issue. Total was going to try to charge me a fee to unlock my phone.

Total 28 day cycle and double charging

My wife n I have used Total wireless for several years. Service is excellent. Verizon recently bought the total network. From the very first month. Minor increases went into effect. The most notable being a 28day billing cycle. That provides Verizon with 13payments a year instead of 12.
They also don't mind billing 1 person for 2 lines of service for 1 number. If you choose Total, be wary.

What a scam total by Verizon

Because of a store employee not know what he was going I ported over my phones I came for a promo and I got pretty much scammed stay way from this place customer service is useless they can't help apparently their stores are 3rd party and they are not responsible for thier actions even though they sell their plans
