To cancel any subscription, they will say YOU NEED THREE months continuous subscription after cancellation to fully cancel the service saying its in a terms and condition you signed.

A phone line is a critical piece of equipment and to place faith and trust in a company like this is a major red flag.
Try else where.
It also has to be noted their response is so slow, another indicator of a major red flag.
Deff try else where, there are at least 3 good ones in UK
The software seems to be good, but "Over featured". Can't get in hold of support services for a week: 2 chat requests and one call back request remain unanswered. Seems to be fully automatic system without a human on the other end

We've been using SwitchboardFREE for a while now, and overall, it’s a solid, reliable service that’s easy to configure and works well across different platforms – desk IP phones, the mobile app, and the Windows app. It's smooth and efficient for daily business operations.
Where SwitchboardFREE really shines is in customer service. Every interaction we've had has been excellent. Special shoutout to Abbey, Laura, and Katie – all three have been incredibly helpful, patient, and proactive in resolving our queries. It's rare to find such dedicated support staff who genuinely go the extra mile. They’re a real credit to the company.
That said, there are still a few areas where SwitchboardFREE could improve:
No Ability to Transfer Calls to External Numbers
This is a major limitation. If only one specific team member – possibly off-site – can help with a customer issue, there's no way to transfer the call externally. Instead, we have to end the call and start a new one manually, which wastes time and can lead to a frustrating customer experience.
Missing "Operations" Department Option
When setting up multi-department call routing, it would be helpful to have "Operations" as one of the default options. It’s a standard department in many businesses, and its absence is a bit surprising.
No Option for Bundled Number Packages
At the moment, numbers and users have to be paid for individually. It would be much more cost-effective and scalable to allow users to purchase a block of numbers (e.g., 10 numbers under one package) rather than having separate charges per number/user.
In Summary:
SwitchboardFREE is a great service with standout support – especially from Abbey, Laura, and Katie – but adding just a few features would take it to the next level. Highly recommended, but hoping for those improvements soon.
