SheCodes basics gave me a good introduction to coding. The classes were structured nicely.

Fabricated reviews
I completed my course and was told that I can only get my certificate if I completed my 'profile' which included a rating and public testimonial. I did not give them 5 stars so the website literally failed to generate the review/profiles with an error message. With much back and forth I was given the certificate, however the website would still generate an 'error' when I tried to submit any rating lower than a 5 star. They then sent me a follow up email (clearly auto-generated) thanking me for my great review. When I asked them to confirm that there was no reviews attributed to my name they confirmed there was no reviews. I have subsequently found on their website a 5 star review against my name so they blatantly lied about there being no review attributed to and it was a review they had self generated. It's a poor course and the subsequent follow up and supposed testimonials are a complete scam.
Edited to follow up: This was not a 'connection error'. I attempted multiple times over different days and their team were already advised. Either the system is designed to fail when a low rating is provided or their website is so poorly coded that it is buggy - either way they should not be teaching. Also the attempted gaslighting is not appreciated.

The entire course is very well constructed, they put a lot of attention into detail and into providing you with so many resources that allow you to engage with the course and coding itself. I really enjoyed the lessons with Matt, he explains himself very well, putting things into an easy to digest manner. It´s really noticeable he enjoys teaching. I also really liked having a challenge after every lesson to really put it into practice all that knowlege that you're gathering. The pride you feel once you see your product, specially the final project, is simply special. I had to take a break from the course and get back to few months after, and was surprised to see it was easier than expected to get back on track. Whenever I did not remember previous lessons, I had every lesson/resource easily available and the AI coding assistant, Athena, which proved very useful to refresh and correct/improve code.

I started this journey with zero knowledge of design and coding, and now I can confidently say I’m on the right path. I feel equipped with the foundational knowledge I need to kick-start my new career in coding. Matt made the learning experience fun rather than intimidating, completely changing my perception of coding. For that, I am truly grateful. I can’t wait to continue learning and exploring this exciting new path

My experience was great because of how welcoming the SheCodes team is and how our instructor is is easy to understand. He makes the work much easier to understand by visually and verbally explaining the work as well as giving us guidlines and challenges, and solutions so that we can improve our code for future purposes.

The course is easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend if you are someone that wants to dip your toe into the world of coding and learn the basics.

I have really enjoyed the Basics Workshop. I was an absolute beginner and Matt's 'learning by doing' approach has helped me to gain confidence very quickly. I love that I can plan my learning to fit round my own schedule. I'll definitely be signing up for more!

Joining this bootcamp was one of the best decisions I've made! Learning a new skill is always a good idea and this bootcamp made it an easy process for me. This bootcamp pushed me beyond my limits and helped me grow as a beginner. This has given me the motivation and confidence to start my journey as a developer
