This is a bait-and-switch service

EDIT TO ADD UP TOP:
=================
This company fraudulently flagged my review as "Defamatory," so it was temporarily taken down. Trustpilot.com conducted a review and then wrote me: "Good news — we’ve assessed the content flagged by the business, and determined that it’s not defamatory. Therefore, we’ve put your review back online."

The bottom line is that this company abuses the flagging system in order to try and cover up their bad reviews. Just more evidence that they are untrustworthy and will resort to underhanded methods of trying to get business — do not trust SBN New York!
=========

This is a bait-and-switch service. I signed up to register a business that my wife and I are starting, and they are telling me it will cost 66% more than advertised ($25 a month! When it is advertised as $15!).

When I said I didn't want to pay this, Joshua (the person on the phone) started trying to explain to me that it was really a great deal — but that doesn't matter, if it's not the deal that you have advertised on your website.

Do not do business with this dishonest office.

EDITING TO ADD AFTER THE COMPANY'S DISHONEST REPLY:
================================
The company replied to my review, and their reply only underscores how dishonest and shady they are!

This bait-and-switch deceitful company is hiding this little tidbit (that their $15 doesn't actually cover a full business — which inevitably involves more than one person/representative!), and they will only admit it over the phone or here in a Trustpilot review.

Search for other providers, I promise you this is not normal — I found another virtual office competitor that we are now signed up for. This competitor charges only $14.99 per month, and cover one business — plus up to six individual names as part of the business. This is WAY better than what SBN offers, but if you speak with Joshua he will act like you are an idiot for not recognizing what a good deal it is (to be clear it is NOT a good deal).

SBN New York, on the other hand, will greedily "return to sender" anything beyond the measly scraps they toss you for $15 a month. They will literally NOT DELIVER YOUR MAIL because they care more about an extra $10 a month than actually providing a good service.

The company replied again saying that this is "Transparent," but that is bullcrap. Nothing on the website, and nothing in the onboarding materials says ANYTHING about this fee.

In fact, the onboarding materials make mention of a "Fee Schedule," which I asked for when I was onboarded (AFTER I applied), and Joshua told me that the "Fee Schedule" DID NOT EXIST!!

The company added a message I sent them that is absolutely totally unrelated to the issue at hand. They copy-pasted a small part of our exchange, because they can't tell the whole truth without looking like the money-grubbing greedy dishonest crooks that they are.

It's a classic bait-and-switch!

Do NOT trust these folks — do an internet search and find someone else!

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed.

Our $15/month virtual office plan includes mail handling for one recipient—either an individual or a registered business entity—as clearly outlined in our service agreement. Adding more names, such as a spouse or an additional business, expands the scope of service and incurs a small additional fee of $10. That’s why the total becomes $25/month for three recipients. This isn’t a hidden charge but part of our transparent pricing structure designed to ensure consistency and fairness across all clients.

We strive to make this as clear as possible in both our agreement and our communications. I’m sorry if any part of this felt unclear—that’s never our intention.

As a point of reference, here’s the original message you sent to our team:

Hi Joshua,
Thanks for your swift response! I will be using this mailbox for business purposes, but the business does not exist yet—so I'll apply as a private individual, and we can always update it when the business entity is formed later down the road.

We genuinely value transparency and would be happy to further clarify anything that remains unclear.

I decided to (finally) close my account…

I decided to (finally) close my account today with this mailbox center after some bizarre behavior from the manager or whomever seems to be running this place.

Everything was fine up until about early January 2025, when suddenly a bunch of packages and mail I had sent here before I moved back home mysteriously went missing. I had just returned to the US after living in France for a few years as my mother died unexpectedly in 2024, so I didn't really notice anything was amiss until I saw that there were a ton of things missing from a box I had forwarded to my new apartment.

Thankfully I did get those parcels but then I was suddenly charged $187 for storage fees and subsequently locked out of my account due to "non-payment", which made no sense as I used my AMEX to pay for everything, had no issues with previous requests and payments, and did not get any declined charge alerts from the company or even an email for non-payment from SBN.

Then I noticed my mail would start disappearing from the user center, or the action requests would change overnight without explanation. One minute it was "forwarding request completed" and then the next it got switched to "pickup completed", just bizarre. Then I realized that I hadn't gotten any letter scans either from the mail like from my bank or credit cards, so I made sure all my credit was still frozen, locked my SIM, and changed the mailing addresses on the accounts I had going to NYC instead of my dad's house as alarm bells were starting to go off in my head that a lowkey scam/hustle operation was going on here.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was a package I had delivered recently, which would be the last of my things I had ordered for my move back home. Since my dad lost his house in the Eaton fire, I didn't feel comfortable sending it to Pasadena as the USPS has a force majeure restriction on the area, and the company which I originally ordered from would not let me redirect it to my new apartment due to fraud restrictions. I saw it get delivered, signed for, and scanned to my user center so thought nothing of it. I put in a forwarding request immediately after it was scanned, but noticed the following week that I had gotten no status updates for a few days. Well, of course when I go and look for it, it also was missing. I could not find any trace of the package anywhere despite diligently looking under each tab, checking links, etc.

When I asked the manager about it since the package was quite expensive, they tried to make it seem like I was exaggerating or didn't know what I was talking about. Yet they would not address why the scan was gone or why it was no longer in my pending action queue. This pissed me off, so I sent a message to Anytime Mailbox directly and told them what was going on, that I was not stupid and that the package was NOT showing up on my end no matter where I looked for it. Then of course my package gets sent out that afternoon right after Anytime Mailbox gets in touch with me...hmmmm.

Like, I don't want to judge people but I didn't want to get charged another $100-200 for "storage fees" on a deliberately "missing" package. I get times are hard and whatnot but this is not the way to go about boosting revenue or trying to get a lick off of people. I just wonder how many other people they may be doing this to?
