Would give zero if it was an option!

I was prescribed medication (antibiotics) whilst on holiday in the EU. I was struggling to find a pharmacy to dispense it despite gov website saying I can pick up medication on an EU prescription. Desperately, I contacted push doctor via email to see if I can get them to wrote the prescription for me so it is no longer a foreign prescription, I was told via email that this was possible and to book an appointment.

I paid the £49 and booked the appointment for first thing the next day.

I spoke to a doctor, who clearly had no idea what he was doing. He asked me to send him the prescription I had; along with the the diagnosis (given my diagnosis and prescription were given to me by a consultant in the EU you’d think the doctor would accept the consultant knew what they were prescribing?!)

After two days I got an email from push doctor, not the call I was promised on the same day as the appointment to say they suggest I see my NHS GP as they can’t help!

So a waste of time and a waste of money, will be asking my card for a chargeback. If you want a private GP go visit one, don’t waste your time and money on these clowns.

Finally I sent 3 complaint emails and had no response, clearly a company after people desperate to pay for medical care then caring about customers!

Took money for an appointment they…

Took money for an appointment they didn’t have and then refused to refund as I made a complaint.

I signed up for their private service having used the nhs service before but due to being a Sunday I had to pay £49 for a private appointment. The website states appointments anytime between 8am and 8pm 7 days per week, it also stated over 100 appointments available in the next 24 hours although you are unable to see when these are before paying. After paying at around 7am on the 5th I was told the earliest appointment was 8.06am the following day almost 26 hours later.

I contacted their customer service and asked for a refund, complained about what they advertise and was told they will investigate is within 10 working days, the website states if you cancel more than 4 hours before the appointment you can get a refund, I hadn’t even booked an appointment to cancel because they didn’t have one. They do anything they can to keep your money and advertise things that aren’t true. I spoke to a woman on the phone and said the reason they can’t refund is because I complained.

I have now issued a notice before action to take this company to court. I would advise anyone to look for another service as they are despicable people

Awful experience and feel some what…

Awful experience and feel some what cheated. The reason most people use this service is that they can’t get into there GP so looking for help. Help is not given. Then there is no option to take it further other than, go see your own GP or a walk in clinic. I paid £49 as I was desperate for help. This is just not good enough. I understand there is certain medication you cannot give but I didn’t feel fully listened to and I’m sure antibiotics wasn’t on that list. Also make it more obvious what you can and can’t do not just in the fine print. People are coming to you in need and feel vulnerable so don’t always have the capacity to check all avenues. So make it more obvious as it feels very scam like.

Worst doctor experience ever had

Worst doctor experience ever had . Doctor did not listen and constantly overtalked me . Had a couple of problems which I had put on the form and she did not even deal with one . She said that I was to have some blood tests and I would get a text to book this. That was yesterday and still no text so I guess no blood test .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I had a deeply disappointing experience with this service. I booked an appointment and clearly specified in advance the medication I needed, but when I met with the doctor, they refused to prescribe it. This left me feeling misled and frustrated, as I had made my needs clear from the start.

After the appointment, I promptly requested a refund since the service did not fulfill what was advertised. However, instead of addressing my concerns, they flatly refused to issue a refund, forcing me to go through the hassle of filing a chargeback claim with my bank.

This company failed to provide the services they promised, and their customer service was equally unsatisfactory. I would strongly advise others to avoid this service to prevent similar frustrations.

** UPDATE ** The medication I requested isn't part of any exclusions on your site! It isn't here : what-we-treat/mental-health nor is it here: how-it-works/prescriptions or on the external link you provide here to the bnf nice site medicines-guidance/controlled-drugs-and-drug-dependence/ .

It seems like you add extra conditions when someone tries to book an appointment in order to get their money regardless. IF it wasn't allowed WHY did the doctor make the call as the reason for my call was clearly stated on my file as well as the medicine I was requesting. You cannot charge 49 GBP to someone who had a 3 minutes call with a doctor who doesn't look at their notes !!!! I've reported your shady practice to scamadviser too ** next time you try to lie about this I'll get in touch with your CEO directly on LinkedIn!!!

Dear Anita,

We apologise for your experience.

We reviewed your case and have explained that you confirmed you had read and understood our “Important Information” page before purchasing your appointment. This includes information about what medication we cannot prescribe as well as stating that a GP may not be able to review your notes before the consultation. We take our clinical responsibilities seriously and our procedures were followed in this case.

Give this a try if you need a medical pro to help!

Discovering this alternative way to contact an NHS GP was a fantastic experience! Initially, I was skeptical and didn't expect the service to match up to my local GP, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Dr. Mahdi conducted my consultation, and she was incredibly friendly. She paid close attention to my concerns and offered advice and tips for addressing my issue. Her expertise was evident, as she communicated clearly without any superfluous words.

Her confidence in resolving the issue swiftly was reassuring, and one I would highly recommend that others try.

No treatment provided...

The whole point of an online appointment is immediacy of diagnosis and treatment.

Why do they take your money if they can't deliver?

Long story short- infected crush injury to my thumb.

Outcome- you need to be seen by your GP and they will assess whether you need antibiotics as well as surgical intervention.

Bloody useless.

Just booked a private GP for £120 consult.

You get what you pay for I guess.

POST SCRIPT: saw a proper private GP in person this morning and was prescribed flucloxacillin. Not rocket science. The Push doctor game is a borderline scam.

Thank you to Nuffield Health GP who was available quickly and no nonsense. Confirmed what I knew - l had an infection and needed anti biotics.

FINAL POSTSCRIPT: typical Trust pilot/reviewer arm-twisting pushback begins!

Fyi folks I rang Pushdoctor on the day and remonstrated with them as to why no help. All the arrogant call handler would do was offer me the chance to submit a written complaint, which would take up to 2 weeks to consider. My infection couldn't wait for that. Ridiculous offer.

Have some manners and decency - apologise and refund my fee.

GP consultation excellent, pharmacy useless

The GP consultation was excellent and I was prescribed anitbiotics for a chest infection. At this stage I was struggling to breath when walking. The prescription came through almost immediately with an email from Signature pharmacy offering next day delivery. I placed my order with them on Sunday 5th May and I have still to recieve the medication on Thursday 9th May. I've checked on the progress of my order, which offers hearty congratulations on my successful order and is delighted that my order has been dispensed. They will be pleased to let me know when they have arranged shipment. I have to go to another GP this afternoon, taking time off work, so that I can get the antibiotics that I need. I would use Push Doctor again but do not use Signature pharmacy to fulfill your order. I have wasted £60 on my consultation and prescription whilst my chest infection is getting worse.

Completely useless

Completely useless. Bad ear infection. Couldn’t get a gp appt for 6 days bcos our local surgery is useless. Dr was late connecting then told me he couldn’t do anything bcos it was an ear and ears have to be examined. £49 to be told that. Now still waiting to be seen in walk in centre (2.5hrs) having had to take time off work. I would like my money back please. Complete joke of a service.

What a complete and utter joke!! NEVER AGAIN!

What a complete and utter joke!!!

Booked with Push Doctor, as I was away from home and wouldn't be able to make a GP appointment, paid £49 and connected with a doctor, because she couldn't see inside my throat she said she couldn't provide a prescription, what a complete waste of time and money.. was advised to see my GP and paid £49 for that advice!!

App closed during the consultation and wouldn't allow me back into the appointment, the GP then rang me back - Not sure how she would have checked my throat on the telephone...

**Re-reviewed this to a 3 star as the prompt response and outcome of my complaint were dealt with very quickly, this shows a business is committed to listening to their customers and delivering the best service possible.

AVOID this service, never received our appointment!!

At 08.24 Sunday 24th April I logged into my appointment which was set up for my son, via Push Doctor App. The doctor never made connection through the App and instead phoned me via an ‘unknown’ number. I had full WiFi connection however the doctor claimed he couldn’t hear me and the line was bad. He then said he would call back and hung up the line. He never did call back and my son never received his appointment.

I would like to make clear that we were at home with full WIFI, connected to the App and waiting for the doctor to join but he never joined the App. Instead he chose to call us and claimed (falsely) that our line was bad At no point did we have an issue with connection, this was not a technical issue on our side.

My son is now seriously ill, with a temperature and no doctor to advise him.

AVOID this service - it is not genuine and I worry we just got scammed

I have raised a complaint and are waiting to see if we receive an apology and refund!

Unprofessional and unhelpful

Push Doctor doesn’t make it clear that you can only book an appointment for yourself not other family members (e.g. a child) under your account. You have to have a separate account for the person you are making the appointment for. Nowhere is this made clear. So the whole thing was a waste of time and money since I couldn’t get anything prescribed for my daughter who had a bad earache. Had I known, I wouldn’t have bothered.
The Dr was kind and apologetic (not his fault) but the platform is flawed and I felt I’d walked into a bit of a money trap. Not his fault, but a bad platform. It just doesn’t feel like a professional service. Very disappointed, and for an essentially unhelpful 7 min conversation, I’d like my £49 back.
