Deeply Disappointed – A Birthday Gift Ruined and No Accountability
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Pavers has been so frustrating and disheartening that I feel compelled to share it.
I placed an order for a pair of trainers well in advance of my parent's birthday on 19th September, hoping to surprise them with a thoughtful gift. I paid for delivery expecting a smooth and timely service. Instead, I received no tracking information, no updates, and ultimately no gift in time for the occasion.
After waiting far longer than expected, I had to chase the order myself on 30th September, only to be told on 2nd October that the item had likely been lost in transit. I was offered a refund or a replacement. I chose the replacement, hoping Pavers would make things right. But again—nothing arrived, and I was left in the dark.
Eventually, I received a partial refund for the trainers, but not for the delivery charge, which I paid in good faith for a service that was never fulfilled. There was no apology, no explanation, and absolutely no accountability for the failure to deliver either the original item or the replacement.
This wasn’t just a missed delivery—it was a missed moment. A birthday came and went without the gift I had carefully chosen, and the lack of care from Pavers made it even worse. The emotional impact of letting someone down on a special day because a company couldn’t follow through is something I won’t forget.
I expected better. I deserved better. And most importantly, my parent deserved better.
I won’t be shopping with Pavers again, and I strongly urge others to think twice before relying on them for anything time-sensitive or meaningful. When things go wrong, their customer service is slow, unresponsive, and unwilling to take full responsibility.

Bought 2 pairs of sandals one size 37 and the other 39.
The size 39 was exactly the same size as the 37 eventhough 39 was on it. Informed Pavers and their response was ," They were manufactured in different factories " I would like to know how come sizes are not standardised, how can you order on line???
Cannock outlet - Lucy’s help
I suffer with complex foot problems due to my diabetes. I thought it was going to be impossible to find suitable footwear due to the deformity on both of my feet. I optimistically went into Pavers (Cannock outlet) & all my fears were diminished when I met Lucy. I explained my concerns / problems she listened took everything on board & advised accordingly. Lucy showed me great empathy especially being a wheelchair user. Lucy was professional but very friendly, didn’t once rush me. All thanks to Lucy I now have not 1 pair but 2 pairs of shoes that fit my feet perfectly. Without Lucy’s help/assistance I doubt I would have any suitable footwear. I will always go to Pavers Cannock for any future footwear & I can recommend anyone with feet problems to visit this branch & you will be welcomed with open arms by Lucy. I went and got second pair of slippers.I previously went in about a month ago to look at the slippers l knew pavers were good 👍 l purchased 2 pairs of shoe's about 18MONTHS. I Was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff so l went back yhats when I punched my first pair of slippers.. I had 3 pairs of pavers leather ankle boots and after one season was bored with them and put them in the wardrobe.(In order to warn others I have not put the correct date). Forward to this autumn, the uppers have come away from the sole and the soles cracked all the way across. Having investigated it seems that we have to expect this of shoes with polyurethane soles due to hydrolysis. What the hell?

I picked my trainers up from Pavers at Brigg Garden Centre today, the assistant who served me was called Pauline, she was brilliant in the fact that she asked me to try my trainers on before I left the store, when I thought that they were too loose fitting she tightened up all the laces for me and they fitted like a glove. If I had them delivered to my home I would have thought they were too loose fitting and returned them to Pavers, but Pauline
made them feel so much better and now I can wear them with ease because they are so comfortable.

I gave a poor review of olive Loretta shoes saying they were very slippery on wet floors, and received a reply saying they were leather and not meant to be worn in the rain. The sole is not leather it is some kind of rubber/plastic. Why did the sales assistant sell me a process to make them waterproof on all three pairs I bought, if they are not meant to be worn in the rain?

Ordered shoes online, advised 5 working days! Received an email then saying ‘slight delay’ now 14 days on still no shoes. Trying to get an update is like extracting blood from a stone. They respond infrequently and are not proactive in coming forward with updates. Shame really because the product is let down by the service!

A few days later I had an email stating that they did not have the size I required and they were looking through there other places but they would be sending them on to me well I waited and waited but the sandals did arrive and guess what they sent the wrong size so I contacted them again they said I could sent them back with the label there was no label in the box so back I go again to Pavers asking for the label to be sent to me I waited again and again when asked again where labels were they said they had been sent but they were not and this has been going on since the end of July and still nothing has been settled no offer of sending the right size luckily Evri sent me an email to me saying that I could drop off the package at my local store and there I found a label to print off so they have now gone back but I have not heard anything from Pavers so I am now waiting to see if they reply to my email asking for my money back as they have a sale now and looking at the email I find the sandals are out of stock
Hopefully they will be contacting me via email telling me they have done this
Thus to say I will not be purchasing anything from them in the future

I contacted the company twice by email asking for an explanation, but both messages were ignored. Nothing has changed, and I am still receiving unwanted ads.

Julie provided excellent advice and went out of her way to ensure that I got appropriate shoes, I only take size 3 and wear orthotics. I needed shoes that I can put on without bending following surgery. Following her assistance and finding suitable shoes, I went onto purchase 2 pairs of shoes and I am delighted with my purchases.
