We broke a mug that had great sentimental value, having been given by our sister in law who passed away in December, and needed some guidance as to how to obtain a replacement. I asked the question via the website on Sunday 1st June, received an answer on 3rd June and received the mug on 7th June by Royal Mail. Excellent, understandng and very helpful service. Many thanks

I received not only my own incorrect order, but also two mugs for another customer, in the same parcel.

By the time I realised that, I had time to notice that the personalisation of one of the two mugs the other customer had ordered, was also missing just as mine was.

When I telephoned the company to advise them of this the young woman who answered agreed to send me the correct version of my order and requested that if she sent me a prepaid label, I return the other customer's order to the company.

As I was both irritated and disappointed at the delay in having the correct item I'd ordered, but felt sorry for the other customer, I agreed.

However I also requested that as an apology for both the disappointment of the execution of my order, the ineptitude of the delivery completion, and the downright nuisance of driving the 20 mile return journey to my nearest Post Office the company should send me one of their Bordeaux Collie Mugs.

(I'm disabled, live pretty remotely and am in constant pain, so it wasn't as though I'd just trot off to a post-box a few hundred yards away.)

I didn't feel this was unreasonable: indeed in the past when a company has acted in an unprofessional way re. one of my purchases, it has been the company which reached out to me to offer compensation.

However when I received the correct version of my order along with the prepaid label, there was not only no Bordeaux Collie Mug, but not even an apology for the inconvenience, nor a thankyou for helping the company sort out their shoddy service.

I see the company has many positive reviews - but I would caution anyone against buying from them. Instead, as I discovered too late, it's possible to buy new and unused Simon Drew mugs, as well as many other name designer mugs, at equal or lesser cost on a well known online auction website.

The Solar System personalized mug I ordered as a Christmas present for my husband arrived sooner than I expected. It's really of beautiful quality (bone china), and the care taken in packing it ensured its safe and unbroken arrival in the US. I expect to order more products from Mclaggan.

There was a mistake with the item that was posted to me. MSG we’re fantastic with their customer service. As soon as I got in touch, they put a replacement in the post for me, with special 24hr delivery. I didn’t expect it to come in time with postal strikes, but it did. Great mug arrived well packaged. Due to their fantastic customer service, I’d happily buy from them again. We can all make mistakes, but when they’re handled so quickly and well, they show me how good a company they are. I’d definitely use them again.

Excellent customer service. This company treat you as an individual and deliver on time. Tailored customer service and fast response times are rare these days.

I love these mugs. Beautiful designs and gorgeous quality

I received my shipment of a mug on September 29. When I took the small box from my mailbox, I could hear that it was broken. I opened it and the wonderful mug I had ordered on September 19 was in several pieces and the packing material looked like a few pieces of wax paper crumpled up. I immediately emailed Mclaggan and have not received and answer. I am hoping I will so I can update this review.

I was trying to replacea large 'history of the railways' mug and thought the 'history of flight's mug would be the same size. Very disappointed to find it a standard mug size 🙁☹

Lovely products but woeful customer service.

Ordered some mugs which arrived quickly, but they were too big and I wanted to size down. I sent several emails to their hello@ email address which were never replied to. Eventually one was picked up, but the customer support agent didn't think to search to see if I'd been emailing in previously, and replied if I was a new customer. I replied back in turn but this was never replied to either.

In the end, I had to call customer support, where my query was finally answered, with a promise to refund my return postage for my troubles. I returned the my original order and placed a new order, but when I presented them with a receipt for return postage, I had to remind to get them to refund it at all, despite the earlier promise.

To add insult to injury, they didn't even refund the correct amount of return postage, but I'd given up by that point.

Excellent speedy service. I buy a mug every year for my Mum. Beautiful designs. I would love to see a winter trees in a sunset design please!!

I bought a large periodic table mug to replace a much loved older version. This one was personalised. I love the quality of these mugs, fine china and large capacity. A pleasure to use. Would highly recommend. I have bought several of these mugs over the years and I'm sure this one won't be my last purchase
