Not sure what has happened to this bank…

Not sure what has happened to this bank but they used to be fantastic. I made a transfer for a holiday and made a mistake with the amount, called metro 2 mins after id made the payment and they said they would a return and request it back straight away, its taken 28 days to get my money back and theve take £40 stating thats how much the exchange rate had changed in the two minutes trying to retract the money, it was actually only for £500 originally sent, im furious. Dont think ive ever seen a member of staff over the age of 20 in there which is now quite a put off for older peoole. Theyve taken away the small change machines so now have to queue to pay in cash, there always seems to be one person on the till and 5 people sitting at desks that always seem too busy to see you. and then theres the automated assistant Ada, talking to a bloody robot who they are trying to make out is like a real conversatin is really insulting and she never understands what im saying anyway.

PUZZLE ROBOT CHEATING!

I don't know when Metro allowed their AI robots to start writing the puzzles, but THEY SHOULD BE SACKED !
Take the word wheel for example, I submit words , only to have them rejected. Yet when I select the solution- OH LOOK THERE THEY ARE IN THE LIST OF ANSWERS!!!
This is mental torture. It isn't fair. DO SOMETHING!!!

I like your Metro newspaper

I like your Metro newspaper. It is clearly written and open minded. I would like to join the service called "UK's fastest breakdown service". And I know that I apply for a dayly newspaper from London Town, which will coat £ 5.49 per month. I would appreciate reading it back in Germany or at any other County in the world.
Thanks for your great Job and keep on doing. YOU ARE VERY KIND!

Regarding Metro’s latest article…

Regarding Metro’s latest article regarding people not observing pregnant women on a tube journey. Honestly why is this a worthy news item? Most people travelling on the underground are buried in their smart phones as an escape from the hideousness of the journey. So why do you expect they’d be the slightest interested in a pregnant woman?
Also women around the world especially in the Middle East and Gaza are facing far worse issues regarding these issues. I think you should start getting back to reality.
A pregnant woman is quite capable of standing for a journey of about 20 to 30 minutes unless she’s about to give birth.
Please stop this constant political correctness!!

Hopeless website

Hopeless website. Comments never load so you can't engage in topical debates (despite having been conned into providing an email address.) Ridiculous stories, like some mercenary cow who wants to sue a cinema for having trailers for inappropriate films before screening "Lilo & Stitch." Claims her kids were traumatised. More like she saw a chance of litigating for their holiday money. Avaricious pig !

Shocking

Shocking. Whilst articles promote you to engage as soon as your comments don't fit the ideologies of the narrators your blocked. So much for free speech!

Biased reporting

Metro used to be a good paper to read but now it’s just woke nonsense, one so called journalist berated actors for signing up to the new Harry Potter tv series, due to the fact of JK Rowling views on Trans ideology! A newspaper is meant to be non biased but unfortunately these days they are pushing certain agendas and political liberal views instead of just reporting facts!

Very easy to open an account

I wanted a classic straightforward current account.
I popped into Metro Bank in Canterbury on the spur of the moment and was impressed with the ambience of the branch and the (long) opening hours (M-F 9.30-5.30.)
Opening the account was super easy and Luke did all the work online.
We downloaded the Metro App to my phone and I should receive my card in the next 5-7 days.
I’m pleased with everything so far.

METRO HAVE MEDDLED AND IT'S UNWELCOME!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS NEWSPAPER,BUT IT'S RECENT CHANGES ARE HAVING A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON COMMUTERS, BOTH DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL.

THERE HAS NOT BEEN COPIES OF IT, AVAILABLE FROM PRE CHRISTMAS TO NEW YEAR,AND THE COMMUTER CROSSWORD, DISAPPEARED ENTIRELY FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS.

IT HAS NOW RETURNED IN A HIDEOUS NEW FORMAT. IT HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED. THE CLUES ARE OBSCURE AND DIFFICULT. IT IS LIKE A CRYPTIC CROSSWORD NOW.

I USED TO TAKE JOY AND RELAX BEFORE A GRUELLING DAY AT WORK, IN SITTING ON A TRAIN, AND COMPLETING IT WITHIN 10 MINUTES. NOW I CAN BARELY FILL IN 2 OR 3 ANSWERS.

THERE ISN'T ANY NEED TO INCREASE THE DIFFICULTY OF IT. IT IS SADISTIC FOR JOE BLOGGS ON THE STREET, ( OR IN MY CASE, TRAIN AND TRAM)!
THIS NEWSPAPER ALREADY HAS A CRYPTIC CROSSWORD. NOW IT HAS TWO .
REVERSE THE FORMAT PLEASE.

I like metro bank however they like to…

I like metro bank however they like to block my account regularly.
If I make a transaction they send s text asking for confirmation.
Fair enough except they use a premium rate text number 08085 my plan does not include premium rate text services so they metro block my card and expect me to go to the branch.
Due to health problems I can't go to branch so metro leave it blocked.
