I urgently needed my walls painted, and found a person to do the job through Homedeal. In the end, he didn't do everything we discussed, so we agreed that he would pay me back for the work he didn't do. Unfortunately, it's been one month now and this person is refusing to communicate with me or pay back the amount. Homedeal refused any responsibility and didn't offer much support. I encourage anyone to look elsewhere, as this website doesn't offer reliable and serious specialists. Never again.

I was looking for the services of a plumber on this website. Quickly got an offer, asked about pricing and they were being very vague and not transparant about how much a small plumbing job would cost. I was naive and asked them regardless to come sort out the job. Plumber did three hours of work at most, and wanted 980 euros. Lots of hidden fees: ‘diagnosis fee’. They also crazy over charged for the materials... I’ve never had to pay a plumber this much. I advise against using this website.

A terrifying experience. After I inquired about toilet renovation, on the same day a guy called me multiple times and told me that he was already 20 minutes, away from my house without even confirming if I was home or not, next day he called me again and really insisting on coming to my house, and I ask him if I can call him back again Monday to set up an appointment, but instead He went to my house together with 2 other guys on Monday without an appointment and my husband saw them peeking at our door. My husband told them I'm not home and we don't have an appointment with them yet. Since they were already at our place, my husband showed them the toilet, and they quoted us 4,000 euros. And then my husband told them that he would talk to me first, and then they started asking him for 160 euros. And they became so aggressive and even took pictures of the plate number of our car and really stayed at our place for one hour asking for the money. They even demanded my husband to go to the bank to widraw money, mind you, they are inside of my house and they're voice are rising and really forcing my husband to pay them, and afterwards, they told my husband that they're gonna call the police, when my husband agreed to call the police, they didn't call after all.. this is unacceptable, i might willing to pay if i confirmed my appointment with them. but the aggression and going to my house without appointment and peeking at the door is not normal, please please be careful on signing up.

After posting a request for floor sound isolation, I was contacted by
Yena klussenbedrijf +31 6 25307116 by WhatsApp, they also annoyingly called me multiple times.

Finally, we made an appointment for the evaluation of the work, but at the time of appointment nobody showed up. Though I have received a WhatsApp message, saying if I want them to visit for evaluation, it costs 100 euro. And they also want me to agree that I will hire them BEFORE we even met, discussed works, prices, materials, time schedule etc.

Be carefull they are scammers, they do what they want.

I liked how quickly I was brought in contact with professionals for the work I wanted to assign. They reached out very quickly. I was expecting more professionals reaching out and not just 3 in order to allow for comparison on the price and the service offered. I also appreciated the follow up from Homedeal on the status of the project and the service received. Will use them again.

Trades men stay away you could spend a fortune only for customers not reply to you and even if they do its was just looking for a rough idea .12 to 17 per quote plus 40 euro a monthly.homedeal just make the money waste of time and energy

SCAM ALERT SCAM WEBSITE
Homedeal is a scam website as far as tradesmen are concerned. They have no vetting process for customers so in effect homedeal charge you to get details of jobs customers have zero intent on having done. ie looking for a price to replace a bathroom suite .. homedeal charge you €12-15 to send your quote then customers send messages back sayin thanks maybe in the future when weve saved up we might get it done. So youve been charged €15 to give a free quote. Its a decent idea but they need to charge clients deposits to vet the time waster. I went to a job where it transpired 2 other tradesmen had been before and told client what they wanted wasnt possible but the client kept going back getting new people out. So waste of €12 getting client info and providing quote then waste of time and diesel going to job. Told homedeal and they just say not their problem. AVOID SCAM SCAM

Be careful about any middlemen like this scam, they will Literally send any one without any checks or references to Yours house, as no half decent tradesman will use such a service. You will end up with criminals/ unvetted not qualified people accessing Yours property

Homedeal.ie is a group based in Netherlands, not Ireland. I requested a carpenter and was contacted by 'SM Carpentry' through Homedeal.ie, unfortunately I paid up front for this service, it's a scam, avoid at all cost!

Scammed by incompetent greedy painter Omer Caliskan (Caliskan Conservering, KVK: 86766120) who came through Homedeal.nl. It is a one-man business, address from invoice is non-working, registered letters cannot reach it. I have posted a job on Homedeal.nl for painting my newly built apartment in Amsterdam delivered in casco (empty new built). Painter Omer Caliskan (Caliskan Conservering) responded and seemed professional with his reviews on Homedeal.nl (their reviews clearly have very little use). I have made a gross mistake of paying for a job before being able to see the results. When we discussed the project upfront, he suggested to use a very expensive paint Sikkens Satin because I explained that I need my walls to be very smooth and reflect light beautifully as they are brand new. He told me he worked with this brand before and it is very good. I have no doubt this is true. However after 1,5 months of being dragged through endless drama with his sub-contractors he paid cash to cut corners and vandalism to my front door, leaving me to sleep with my door unlocked for 3 weeks, them leaving my front door wide open for several days/nights and just leaving, no respect for your private home, they smoke in your home without asking, I have found cigarette buds all over after having them gone. I am scammed out of more than 9300 Euro in total so far for the failed painjob, materials for his second attempt that were unaccounted for and my vandalised front door repairs they did not fully remedy. I have been put into a position of such distress by these people that refuse to take any accountability for the failure to do the job we agreed on, that I am forced to take legal action to recover anything so I can complete the project which is a long term investment in my home. Beware that he is using a garden pressure sprayer that is not suitable for such expensive spray paint jobs and his sub contractors are plastering my hand never making a clear angle and straight wall. It is impossible with such tools unless you are a master of your craft which these people are not, they are chancers. I have send feedback to Homedeal.nl but I was blatantly ignored. Beware of the scammers that come through this site, they will leave your dream home renovation project in shambles, your bank account empty, your home vandalised and a lot of distress chasing after them with legal actions to recover any of your damages while they deal mostly in cash, and do not pay tax.

I wrote a request to redo the bathroom, a guy called me he could come tomorrow. They started like next week, first two days were ok. Later on, they started making a mess, they filled the house with debris, they asked money advancement every two days. When we stopped and put all the their stuff in the street, they start harassing and threatening us, we received a threatening call two days after. We went to police. Nothing works in what they did, the floor was not sealed properly, the basin was leaking. A real nightmare. There is no control wahtsoever in this company, never trust anyone who comes through it.

every amateur can participate as long they pay!!

Be careful, one of the handyman from this company turned out to be criminal, he entered my home..legal case is still ongoing, homedeal customer care doesn't work, maybe they are aware about it..
