SCAM, do not buy

I tried to use the card, it was declined at the cash. I was informed that it had already been used and that I had 60 days to dispute the transaction. I never used the card and to do so I would have had to remove the strip that hides the card number and the CVV code. The strip was removed at the cash when I tried to use it. The card was declined. Real scam. Tried to escalate the claim, no luck since I didn't complain in the 60 day window

Garbage!!

Garbage!!! Doesn’t even deserve one star. Twice I have been burnt with the card. The waitress even today gave me the look when I went to use the cards (in store) and had serious doubt of even using them. Still calling the number on the card, each had the original balance

Do not purchase Happy Dining gifts…

Do not purchase Happy Dining gifts cards. This company is awful and these cards are a scam. I lost $150 thanks to this awful company that is selling pieces of cardboard that are not able to be redeeemed for any purchase at the participating restuarants. I tried to redeem at BP & someone in line behind me had same gift cards & had the same issue with their cards. The company's customer service is garbage. They are avoid refunding you any way they can.

Would give 0 stars if possible

Would give 0 stars if possible. Received as a gift and followed the directions online to redeem the card for one of the listed options of places. The card is marked as redeemed but they never emailed me information for the new card that I was claiming. The system is faulty and feels like a scam. The customer service number on the back of the card is completely automated and it is impossible to speak to a human. Do not recommend. Do not buy any products that show that you have to go through an extra step of redeeming the gift card for a specific gift card through 'redeem.giftcards.com'

Card number was damaged

Card number was damaged, by bad design, as the sticky backing peeled off three numbers. The website did not have any help for us, so we called the number on the back. The call made us do a security verification, then tried to get us to put in the number on the card. We were still missing three digits, and there was no other option, input code or hang up. Made my kid cry, as he didn’t get to go to toys r us, and he had been looking forward to it. Terrible site. Terrible customer service. Terrible company.

If i could give this a 0 star rating I would. This company is such a scam, received a card in September 2024, went to use in in May 2025 to find out it was used in December in Quebec. This company needs to be investigated to determine if there is an information leak or someone inside selling card numbers with balances.

People don't know how to activate this

Ok PEOPLE. Look. The Happy Card is not the actual 'gift card'. If you try to use it at a store it won't work.

You are use physical Happy Card to purchase an electronic gift card.

It says on the back of the card "ONLINE EXCHANGE REQUIRED".

Scratch off the back then scan the QR code and go to the website. It'll input the card number for you so you just enter the pin. It should bring you to their website where you purchase from the store you want. Then they email it to you.

If it doesn't work, copy the website via the QR you scanned, and try a different browser.

2 stars, because it's not the most convenient. Also, whenever I try to check the balance it says it can't process the request. You can check over the phone, but it's annoying that way.

I purchased 4 happy cards for 100 and…

I purchased 4 happy cards for 100 and gave them to my 99 year old granny so they all could go out to eat dinner for her 99th birthday this made it affordable for them to go out to eat. Sadly when they went to pay none of the cards would work. Told they had to be registered which on the web site has no location info to do this so they basically took my money and ripped me off and by the way ruined a birthday event for a 99 year old lady. Should be called unhappy card. These criminals continue to defraud the American public year after year. I am filing a criminal complaint with the Colorado Attorney Generals Office against happycard.com

Tried to use this card at Panera Bread—got $0

Tried to use this card at Panera Bread. The value was listed at $25. It showed up on their website as $25. I have the receipt where it was purchased showing $25. When I tried to use it at Panera Bread (repeatedly), the value shows $0. This is a useless piece of plastic that they STOLE MONEY from the gift giver. $25 for a piece of shit plastic.

Happy stole the entire balance

Happy stole the entire balance. I can see online that it was activated and loaded with $100 the day before my birthday. Then the latest transaction says "BHN Debit Adjustment" and -$100. They took the entire balance away 13 days after it was loaded on.

I am disgusted. This was supposed to be my birthday present from my mother-in-law. Now I have to hassle her to fix it when she has so much on her plate already.

Went to use a gift card and it expired.

Went to use a gift card
Package of happy kids gift cards at sport check and turns out the card expired. I had the purchase receipt from
The gift giver and these cards were purchased December 26,2023 and they EXPIRED 12/2023. The company says that the plastic expired and to contact them for replacement. Impossible to contact a customer service person as only a computer on the other end and just hangs up because the gift card number is invalid. I am NOT happy and these cards are a total waste of money and a scam. Give cash! Cash is king!

NEVER AGAIN

Never, and I mean NEVER purchase one of these cards. I went to use it at Roots Canada and the clerk told me I needed a 6 digit code or something so I called Happy Cards customer service and was connected right away (a surprise). The representative I spoke to didn’t even know the merchants that these cards could be used at…he then proceeded to tell me that the ladies that work there obviously didn’t know what they were doing or that their brand new system was broken…he was rude and cut me off multiple times. He’s sending me a new card BUT I guarantee that this one won’t work too. This is such a SCAM.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Bought this for someone at Christmas then forgot to give it to them so I tried using it myself. Good thing I did so I know to never buy one of these again! It does not work. I tried at a retailer and they said I had to get one specifically for their store so I've been trying to do that. I called the number just now and they needed some code (where do you get that?) and have emailed them and they are asking for a 19, 10 or 6 digit code. I have 16 digits. They are no help and will never buy one of these cards again.

Scammer wanted my bank numbers

I called to check a gift card balance that I had received in the mail, and was connected immediately to an automated thing saying that I won $100 gift card and that they then needed my banking and routing number to verify my identity to send. When I asked for another way to verify or to speak with somebody else regarding this as I felt unsafe, I was immediately hung up on.

Will not work at Burger King despite it…

Will not work at Burger King despite it being on front of the card. It says balance of 0 but even though it took the manager to figure it out it did work at Boston Pizza. Do yourself a favor and do not buy from this company.

Junk

They expire fast and when you remove the sticker to reveal the online code the numbers came off too on two cards so that money is now lost. It’s a scam. I have another card and can’t use it online unless buying less than card value and it expired to use in person. So 3 cards are useless.

The Most Annoying Gift Card in the World

This is the most annoying gift card I've ever used. I got a Happy Her gift card from a friend. Some locations listed on it like Milestones don't accept it. Do better. Kernels was the only one who I visited who knew how to use it without the customer doing the work. la Vie en Rose only accepts it if you know your balance. I finally figured it out, but it was a pain in the a$$ and I don't recommend anyone buying these gift cards for anyone you like.
