I'm 56 and I had 5,000 hairs transplanted to the crown of my head in mid-April 2025. From start to finish, everything went well; from the airport taxi to the visit to a clinic for a blood test; plenty of time to see Budapest; the big day itself - an early start and the surgery finished around 4.30pm; then a walk along the Danube. The anesthetic sometimes nips a bit, but the hair transplant process is painless. The Hair Palace team of four worked hard all day, plus the other support staff. The young man shaved my hair except at the front, so I looked like Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols. Two and a half months later, the 'new' hair is very slowly coming through. What joy. One tip, you need to be extra careful you don't disturb the new grafts when sleeping if you get a hair transplant on the top of your head like me.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the results. I am a healthy man in my early 50s. I wish I could upload before and after photos. I look THE SAME 2 years later. There is NO improvement. And furthermore, there is a big scar about 5 inches on the side of my head from the transplant. I thought that the transplant in the donor area was supposed to be without scars ???? I am in communication with them now via WhatsApp. I will update this review as appropriate.

8-7-25 update: No consensus yet, I am still talking to them. We have communicated and they identified me. I will let you know how this situation was resolved

Exzellent Service, german speaking, good Organisation, very clean and technical up to Date, I can strongly recommend that Place! We will see the results later in the year I can‘t say nothing to this yet!

Exceptional and professional!

Having been collected from the airport, I was taken to a clinic for a quick blood test, followed by getting dropped off to my short stay of residence in an apartment provided by HairPalace (a short walk to the shopping mall and restaurants, that was big help).

Having gone to the HairPalace clinic in the morning, i was met by a friendly and welcoming Flora, being briefed over the process I change into my scrubs and we started the procedure of extracting the hair follicles, not painful due to the aesthetic.
Followed by lunch break, it was time for the implants. The doctor was professional as well as the assistants, I was always checked and felt reassured. I cannot emphasize how the service was going above and beyond expectations.

The HairPalace employers were outstanding! Thank you so much for the experience, knowledge and service provided. Big shout outs go to Gina and Flora! :) I just hope my body will react well with the transferred follicles.

I had treatment 21 months ago but I have left this late because I wanted to see the results before I reviewed. The process was very professional, with the preparation pre-travel, greeting and information the day before treatment, during treatment, and post treatment. At times i did wonder if my regrowth was uneven and I had less hair on one side than the other, but now I am satisfied that a great job has been done.
I would be happy to return for a 2nd treatment on another area of my head.
For those of you reading this, who are a bit reluctant due to embarrassment of having a hair transplant, don’t be worried. Yes they shave your head and you are left with a bandage across the back of your head and bruising at donor and transplant receiving areas, but nobody shows any interest or looks at you funny at the airport. I was pretty embarrassed but upon arriving home, i realised i didn’t need to be. Get it done, you won’t regret it.
The first few weeks are tough. The head gets greasy and itchy. You are not allowed to scratch so the only rest bite is the shower. standing under the water for 10 minutes seems like a long time, but it’s absolute bliss!
One thing I didn’t really feel comfortable with pre treatment, was carrying around that much cash. The neighbourhood and the walk to the clinic was pretty safe though, and it went fine.
The apartment was nice. Just remember to stock up with food prior to treatment though, because you might not fancy walking to the store after treatment. Your new look might shock you :p

I wonder why most of the reviews are only about positive experience and not results.

My visit there was positive, so go there if you´re looking for a pleasant experience.

However I can´t say the same about my results. The growth is uneven and 80% of the transplanted area needs more density and a second transplant. So my guess is that far fewer hairs were implanted than I paid for and I probably walked into a money trap by accepting to pay extra 300 Euros for more grafts

The aftercare is one spray bottle and the reviews of my checkup photos were short and the same every time. Copy paste answers.

After 9 months I asked Hair Palace for explanation about the uneven growth and they had no answers.

That´s probably the reason why they did not offer me the final checkup. And it tells me that they have no interest to fulfil their promise of free re-implants.

I decided to go to Turkey for a second transplant and for the same amount of money HP charges, I get double number of grafts, loaded aftercare kit, pro washing on the day after, PRP, cooling treatment and zoom meeting for checkups.

EXCELENT!! The staff is so informative, fluent in english, the accomodation is superb in a nice part of town. Transfer is on point, lab work also Quick and then the best part the operation takes long but when you are treated by 4 beautiful young ladies including the doctor, who makes sure that you bearly know you have hair transplant going / constant pain/comfort/thirst check while you watch your favourite movie on netflix. This is a 8/5 stars in my book.

I also write my experience. I must say that everything was very comfortable, the accommodation was very comfortable, the doctor was very nice and the delegate answered a lot of my questions. I am 8 months after the surgery, probably it was not my last one, as the hairfall is still continuing and I will definitely not hesitate and I will have the next surgery again in hair palace Budapest , the prices are low (I had a discount) and I am extremely satisfied with the results, really great work. However, unfortunately I have to take off one star as I was told that they can't get much hair on the top of my head (crown area) due to not enough place to put new hair in, unfortunately it doesn't look very nice now, anyway the corners filled in perfectly after 5 months I basically had lush hair, but unfortunately I am curently wearing short hair, As even though I should have hair on my crown, there just doesn't seem to be any and if there is it very thin and sparse and will definitely need another transplant, however, I don't really like the idea of having to let it actually fall out completely to make room, so thickening the hair is probably not possible with a transplant.

I have had 4 hair grafts with Hair Palace two on succeeding days in August 2019 one in 2022 and just completed another a few days ago April 2024. In total I’ve had around 17000 hairs grafted as my balding was most of the top of my head.

I’m have been super happy with the previous results and my last operation will more than likely be my last as I don’t have too many hairs left on my donor area. Though what’s great about the method hair palace use the FUE way is that there is no extensive scaring just very small dots with the doctor leaving enough hair remaining on the donor area that once it grows back it is very hard to notice. Although with me having had 17000 you can notice it slightly but it is quite amazing now this is done and me being at the very top end of the amount of grafts is why I’m more thin around the sides and bottom back where hairs are grafted. However for most people you will never notice any thinning from the grafted area.

The service during and after care was exceptional always speedy to get back to queries and throughout these past 5 years Hair Palace always followed up on my progress. A special mention to Dr Gucsi who did all my grafts, a very nice Doctor who made me feel confident and assured throughout much appreciated.

So no point waiting, go get a hair craft the sooner you do the quicker the results! This has improved my self esteem a lot and give me more confidence not to mention knocked a few years off.

My recent visit to the Hair Clinic Budapest was nothing short of spectacular, far exceeding my expectations. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. Scheduling an appointment was straightforward, and upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted. The clinic itself exudes a calming ambiance, which was particularly important to me as someone new to hair treatments.

The true gem of this establishment is undoubtedly the doctor. Not only is she highly professional and exceptionally skilled in her field, but she is also incredibly kind and compassionate. She took the time to discuss my concerns, offered tailored solutions, and ensured I felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire process.

This is my second surgery at HairPalace. The first was a real success with around 95% of the implanted hairs growing through and out. My first one was in 2019 which was for the front of my head, this was for the crown. As I was quite far gone it couldn’t all be done in one session. I was due to return in 2020 but covid put a stop to that. I had the same Dr for both procedures, Dr Erika Gucsi. She was so friendly, calm, understanding and patient. The service and building itself is BUPA quality for those of you from the UK. I have recommended this place to so many people and numerous have been and have been delighted with their results. A top top service all round. Thanks HairPalace.

I had my hair transplant at Hair Palace about ten months ago (June 24th 2022).

I purposely left leaving a review until I could see some actual results from the transplant (which, as they will tell you, can take a while).

I’m very happy to say I can and that the results are excellent.

I will leave a longer review here when I have time to write it, but for the moment I need to say: if you are thinking of getting a hair transplant, do not go anywhere else; this is the place. Seriously.

You are talking Harley Street quality in terms of professionalism and honesty. I am so happy I chose here.

I was met at the airport by their cheery driver, put up in a lovely apartment in a nice part of Budapest and a ten minute walk from the surgery. Dropped back to the airport by him. The surgery itself is more professional than I could have imagined. You essentially have your own ‘wing’ with a team of people looking after your every whim for the day. Again, I don’t think I would have gotten this treatment even in Harley Street.

I obviously looked up my surgeon before I went —she seems literally to be the most qualified in her field in all of Central/Eastern Europe.

Aftercare is excellent. I have a WhatsApp number that I can contact them with whatever daft question I might have (eg. ‘It’s been six weeks since the transplant, can I go swimming?) and they respond within a few hours.

As I said above, I’ll write a full review recounting my full (pleasant) experience with Hair Palace when I have the time, but for the moment I thought it would be useful to give a review from someone who went there and has had good results from the surgery.

From start to finish I cannot rate the team at Hair Palace highly enough.
From the initial contact, consultation and my endless questions they explained everything perfectly.
I attended the clinic this week and had 4000 follicles transplanted from the back to the front due to receding hair line.
I have to say everything about this company is amazing, they pick you up from the airport, take you to the accommodation ( I used their apartment which is amazing) explain everything, give clear details in emails about when to come to the clinic, step you through every part of the process and also give you a nice menu to choose lunch, I am vegetarian and the goat cheese burger was great.
Then after all of this amazing service they take you back to the airport when you need to be there.
The procedure itself was incredible and I felt safe and listened too the entire time, I can now see how my hair line will look like when it grows in some time and I cannot be happier.
They even called me to let me know I left my book there :)

Firstly, Janos, the coordinator, was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. They provided detailed information about the procedure, answered all of my questions, and helped me to arrange everything from airport transfers, to accommodation and blood test. I felt well-informed and supported throughout the whole experience.
On the day of the surgery, the team at Hairpalace were amazing. They were professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Ljuba Zsolnai and her team in particular were outstanding. Dr Ljuba Zsolnai is a true expert in her field, and she took the time to explain every step of the process to me. She was patient, kind, and clearly passionate about her work. Her team were also excellent - they were skilled and efficient, and they made the whole process as smooth as possible.
The accommodation provided by Hairpalace was also great. My family stayed in a comfortable and clean hotel just 5 minutes walk from the clinic, which made it easy to get to and from the appointments. The airport transfer was also smooth and hassle-free, which was a great relief after getting into a new city.
I am writing this review on the 7th post operative day. I am very happy with the result so far. Overall, I would highly recommend HairPalace to anyone looking for a hair transplant clinic in Budapest. The coordinator, airport transfer, accommodation, and surgery day were all excellent, and Dr Ljuba Zsolnai and her team were truly outstanding. I would definitely go back to HairPalace if I ever needed any further treatments.

A super team of professionals from start to finish. It is a little unnerving going to a country you have not visited for the first time in your life for an intervention you have never experienced. But they look after every detail throughout and make you feel completely at ease. I would give Hair Palace 11/10 if that were possible.

I made the trip with my wife to Budapest this Jan (23) and had over 5000 hair grafts implanted at the HairPalace Clinic. I have been very impressed throughout my experience, at every stage I was completely informed what to expect and all my questions were answered when doubt or anxiety crept in. I have only positive comments with regards to Hair Palace and fully recommend this clinic, time to give them a call and start your journey, you will not be disappointed.
