Good food but customer service is lacking
I placed an order tonight directly through their website (not via a third party), for a meal for three people. Two of the double breast burger meals were customised with cheese and grilled pineapple. With honesty and fairness in mind I will say that the food arrived hot, and although the delivery took a little longer than expected, it wasn’t unreasonable—so I was pleasantly surprised.
Unfortunately, the order was incomplete: the cheese and grilled pineapple were missing from both burgers. When my wife called to address the issue as this was not the first problem we have experienced with this restaurant, she spoke with Orlando, who unfortunately didn’t handle the situation well. Despite our receipt clearly showing the correct order, he insisted we hadn’t selected those items. He even sent a picture of his POS screen to prove his point—ironically, it also showed the items were indeed ordered. When she pointed this out, along with a screenshot of our receipt, he simply responded with, “Well, you weren’t charged for them.”
It’s a bit frustrating to place an order, customise your meal, pay the amount shown, and then be told you didn’t order what you know you did.
To their credit, someone who I believe was the manager stepped in shortly after and offered to remake the full order. We declined as we already had plenty of food and it would’ve taken extra time, but they went ahead and made the replacements anyway.
The main reason I’m writing this review is to point out the disappointing customer service at the outset, and the lack of a simple apology. While the food itself was actually quite good, the experience left a bad taste, and although the food is as mentioned, quite good, we don’t plan to order from them again.
