Hidden City - Dream Studio

The latest Event in Hidden City (Dream Studio) is atrocious for finding items, flashes of light scenes are not only making it difficult to find what you're looking for, it takes a toll on your eyes. There's something wrong when you use a tool that shows you where items are and you still can't see them.
A lot of the previous scenes are deliberately darkened, have muted colours, anything G5 can do to make sure that the player has to use and buy more tools.
The number of ads now is overwhelming, the game is less about improving my memory and seeing how much I'm willing to spend on it.

I used to love playing these games

I used to love playing these games - they were fun and you could progress through the levels. The levels were challenging but not impossible. This last few months, however have seen a real change - the levels are ridiculously difficult and even with the few free tools that you manage to gather, it is impossible to win them without having to buy more and more. This has just become a money grab and, sadly, I will not be playing any more.

The Secret Society

The Secret Society - not a good review in my experience so here goes:-
Graphics are horrendous.
Not enough time given to open up new areas in jigsaw mode.
Once progression has been made you are unable to see what you have obtained due to too many adverts in between gameplay.
Why do I play it you ask, I simply do not know!

G5 ENTERTAINMENT NOT WORTHWHILE/DON'T HAVE ADEQUATE SUPPORT WHEN YOU RUN INTO PROBLEMS

Really, you don't even deserve one star. Was playing Sherlock Holmes for past 3/4 months, but when you run into a problem with playing - in my case, the game being in a constant updating/uploading mode, and then can only access two books and therefore not continue playing like before - seemingly since I got a new desktop pc, which also had the upgrade to Windows 11. I've written support countless times, and tried all of their suggestions to check, and none of what they suggest is at issue. What do they do? Repeatedly keep sending me the same paragraph of suggestions to try. One time asked me for screenshots of my computer system/version, and I sent, and then didn't bother to say anything about what I had sent them.

The game is great while it's working, but as soon as it's not, you're screwed. They take your money very willingly, but their supposed "Support" offers no support at all. They ignore your emails which highlight the issues and spell it out for them, and don't offer any solution or way to resolve. Read the online reviews (all of them), and you'll soon see that they don't care about issues dissatisfied players are having at all. I don't recommend you start playing any of their games. There's got to be better games that offer better customer service/support than these people.

Here's an AI-generate answer that should help you better understand to steer clear away from G5 Entertainment:

"Based on user reviews, a significant number of people agree that G5 Entertainment's support is inadequate. Numerous complaints cite poor customer service, with users reporting that their issues, including unfulfilled purchases, lost progress, and stolen rewards, are not resolved despite contacting support.
Some users state that customer service offers only platitudes and fails to take meaningful action, leading to frustration and a loss of trust.
Reviews on platforms like Trustpilot and PissedConsumer consistently highlight that support does not effectively address problems, with users often left waiting for responses or receiving unsatisfactory replies.
This widespread dissatisfaction with support is a common theme among dissatisfied players."

Loved Twilight Land..but

Loved Twilight Land... but just uninstalled it. They keep on finding sly ways to profit if you need to buy tools - the "new improved" extra goes(it's the same as before) is now 75% more expensive this morning. Added to the growing bugs in the game I decided its time to move on

Poor customer service; Disturbing images

G5's frequent ads portray a baby being drowned, a very small child alone in the rain at night and other disturbing images.
I contacted G5 and, after several A1 responses, received an email stating I would hear back from a live person. No email, and since that time it appears I've been put on a loop to only view the ad with the baby drowning.

This is THE worst experience I have…

This is THE worst experience I have EVER had with a game. I now know why this is a free game. you get people to start game and then after you get to like it, it starts freezing up and can't find updates for this piece of SHIT game. I will delete this game, leave a bad review and NEVER download another G5 game.
GOOD BYE !!!!!!!!

Love this site

I've ordered a few things from here and never a single problem. Communication is good and trainers are great. Delivery times is not too bad either.

Losing players daily due to inadequacies and poor customer service

I have been playing Jewels of Rome and Mahjong Sheriff. Due to constant problems after updates; and now it is just a usual daily occurrence in their games. I contacted the so called customer service numerous times, which has offered no assistance at all; common sense would help here as the person would realize that if the game freezes, you can't very well take a screen shot, DUH. It does not seem that these people hold their customers in any regard, now they are not even replying to emails. I don't recommend any of these games to those truly interested in gaming, you will be severely disappointed in the games and the service. No wonder they have to recruit and advertise for players on a constant basis. I would encourage escalation to the corporate office if you can find one. 👎

Very sad to say

Very sad to say. I use to love the game. But now not so much. After playing each (one) scene there is either a pop up or an ad!! This is way to much!! I can see after playing maybe 6 or 7 scenes but after every scene!! Not good at all G5!! You have lost many players because of this. If I wanted to see all these ads all I have to do is turn on YouTube TV!! Really! It is a game not an ad festival. You can not enjoy it any longer. So it was uninstalled.

Rediculously difficult on purpose.

I tried playing many of their games for about 5 years now, and they are all the same...Too Hard to even be partially enjoyable. All of their games are no different than slot machines in Las Vegas or elsewhere: If you want to play you have to keep paying (a lot). If you aren't paying they don't want you on their servers either. So the games frustrate you with difficulty so you will leave the server. G5 is not the only gaming company that uses this format. Most of them do. It's nice programming and graphics but that's where it ends.

Constant problems after updates

I have been playing Jewels of Rome since 2021. Due to constant problems after updates, I created another profile (as a new player) and played on both profiles at the same time. A year ago I found out that I was removed from the Top Players, why? Both profiles had the same levels, the same avatars, similar names. To my complaint, I received a response that it was due to suspicious activities of my profiles. To repeated arguments and protests, I have not received a response to this day. Convinced that the problem is two similar profiles, I suggested that I cancel one profile, how?, I also did not receive a response. With the update in the new year 2025, G5 brought us a "Gift", many players dropped to the beginning of the game, it's not the first time, the last time it happened was in September 2024. They solved the problem with another update, but the damaged players remained at level 1. I can't imagine the anger and frustration these players are experiencing, especially those who invest money in their inventory. I don't recommend this game to those who don't have strong nerves and a rich account! 👎

Don't hope to get anything resolved

I have been in contact with this group for over a week on a purchase that did not go thru. There has been copious message from me to no avail. The company just changes the complaint number and instructs me to do what I have already done. I have tried to find out what they want to offer instead of my refund, but they just give vague answers. I want resolution!

G5 games are *censored*

Let' start buy the good things. It's free to play. You don't need to pay. Paying gives you an edge, helps progressing further, but that's about.

The bad things.
- "Watch a video" for one ruby. Level 122 and it means I played the games for like 2 years. Clicking = "Sorry, no video is available at that moment".

I only play Sherlock Holmes Match 3 from G5, because I'm a casual player and it's my favorite game among them.

The game is great. Please fix the bug. Microsoft, hello ? Do you need more coders ?

Expert in Unity and .NET framework. You know how to hit me up. But I know you won't, will you ?

I'll rate the game 4.5 stars when all the bugs will be fixed. Until then, a bug-full unfinished student project doesn't serve higher than a generous 2.

For .Net coders : GDI+ still lies to us - the return format is BGR, NOT RG

Hope this helps !

Keep your unsafe code safe !

G5 has ZERO Consideration for its Players

G5 made a unilateral decision to remove the event picture from the game once the event’s duration ended. After an event concludes, the game updates with a new event picture, and the previous one becomes a tabletop scene for continued play. This time, G5 chose not to follow that process, leaving players disappointed, as they were expecting to continue playing the event in its new format. They showed no consideration for players who invested hours progressing through the picture to reach higher levels, such as the Grand Magister. Even worse, they displayed complete disregard for those who spent money on the event to advance further. If G5 isn’t going to honor the players' efforts or purchases, perhaps they should offer refunds to those affected, as it’s clear they don’t value their community’s time or investment.

STAY AWAY FROM G5 GAMES!

I had been playing a few G5 games for about a year and suddenly they started telling me I have no internet access which was absolutely ridiculous. Then they started locking up my computer and affecting other programs. Way too many emails with their customer service department has led me to the conclusion they have no idea what they are doing.

This game takes over your computer and you cannot do anything. I was unable to find where to quit the game and luckily I had a 2nd browser I could go to Ask HOW DO I CLOSE A GAME ON MY COMPUTER WHICH TOOK OVER MY COMPUTER. THERE WAS NO PLACE TO EXIT AND IT IGNORED ME TRYING TO HIT THE SETTINGS ICON. HORRIBLE GAME. Have to give away all your personal information and join this blank to leave a review. No customer service

I am not surprised with the reviews of customers using the g5 games. My situation is a bit different. Although I never made any purchases when prompted , my issues were when I started getting to a higher level of the game, it just stopped working. I reloaded the game under a different profile and played for about a year getting into another high level. Once again the game stopped working. I requested technical help. 6 months went by, no change. Numerous messages were exchanged for me to be patient and that they were working on the issue. It was just lip service nothing more.
No more G5 games for me. And I would strongly recommend that other users never buy anything from the G5 group. Don't waste your money.
