Freedom Debt Relief is a trusted financial services provider based in San Mateo. Founded in 2002, Freedom Debt Relief has grown to be the largest debt settlement company in the nation, employing more than 2,000 professionals dedicated to helping consumers overcome debt and regain financial stability. Freedom Debt Relief is BBB-accredited with an A+ rating, reflecting its long-standing commitment to ethical business practices and customer satisfaction.
The company’s core services focus on debt negotiation and settlement. Freedom Debt Relief’s primary service is debt settlement, which involves negotiating with creditors to reduce the total amount owed by the client. The process begins with a free consultation to assess the client’s financial situation and determine eligibility for the program. If enrolled, clients deposit funds monthly into an FDIC-insured dedicated account they control. As savings accumulate, Freedom’s negotiators work directly with creditors to secure settlements for less than the full balance. Clients approve each settlement before payments are made, and the process continues until all enrolled debts are resolved.

I really like the way Freedom Debt Relief has handled my account. They notify me when they have been able to work with my creditors and established a payment pattern.
They are a great team and I am so glad that I decided to let them handle this and not filing bankruptcy.

When the credit card companies kept calling over and over and over...every person who answered my call at F.D.R. assured me that everything is OK. Its going to take for my accounts to settle. I have to admit I was skeptical. But after 7 months, the calls stopped. I freaked out more...then a few days later...I got an email from F.D.R. stating that the agreement was made with the credit card company. F.D.R. made good on their promise.

The "care" in customer care services was certainly adhered. FDR is literally perfect to me. I'm very pleased that I chose FDR to manage my numerous debts. It gets no better than to have a trusted source on your side.

So far the experience with FDR has been as outlined from the beginning. Since starting in May we have gotten 3 of 16 accounts to agree to cut the debts in about 1/2 and agree to enter payment plans. Unfortunately the down side is FDR nullifies most of the other 1/2 negotiated off in the fees they charge. FDR makes sure to get their fees paid almost right away from funds from your dedicated account you build up with them thru your bi-weekly deposits you make. If the fees weren't so high or they wouldn't take their fees out in such big chunks and split them up over the life of payment plan you enter with each creditor. Then you could enter more agreements more quickly and wouldn't have as many late fees and interest accruing on each delinquent account. Therefore at least saving more money on that end even with FDR's high fees. That said I have no regrets. They are ultimately doing their jobs and they are good at what they do.

I like the way, Freedom Debt Relief communicates with me and informing me when the negotiation has cleared and when a debt is paid. And they are moving quicker than I thought. I also like the fact that they have been able to really get some of my debt reduced. I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone who’s having difficulty with their outstanding debt.

He was very professional, I appreciate George for explaining everything to me and made me feel I can do this program.

This company tells you NOT to pay your bills for 3 months in order to start. I have worked on my rebuilding credit.....not paying my bills ofr 3 months will ruin it and make it difficult to move or get any sort of credit in the near future. Straight up lied when I asked if it would show negatively on my credit. They also want 25% of the total debt paid to them. None of it makes sense. If you can pay your bills, I would not recommend using this service. I was looking for a consolidation loan not a debt relief company. Applied through Symple Lending and they tried to sell me this debt relief program. Don't recoomend

I am getting peace of mind ,freedom is handling my debt in timely fashion and gives me confidence in their ability to, I am so glad I chose FDR to help me,I can sleep at night knowing I am being handled by real professionals

Very slow to resolve consolidation. Never mentioned they use my payment to resolve the debt. Other companies use their money to reach resolution quickly then my money pays them for the time period.

Yes they are taking care of my debt but it is really slow. I thought they could just settle for a lump sum and pay it off but no, they have to make small monthly payments that take forever, and that is my only complaint. Otherwise, I am very happy with the service.

“Friendly, focused, and easy to work with. Debt can be an embarrassing thing to ask for help with, but FDR never made me feel judged. They focused on solutions, not mistakes, and that made all the difference. The process was easier than I expected—and I’m so glad I reached out.”
