No buyer protection! FULL SCAM AUCTION A 1 Collectables Antiques Auctions
I recently purchased through A1 Collectables Antiques Auctions on Easy Live Auction and had a very poor experience. The items were intentionally misrepresented, with vague and misleading descriptions. The asking prices suggested much higher-value items than what was actually received.
When I contacted the auctioneer requesting a refund, there was no remorse or willingness to resolve the issue. Even worse, Easy Live Auction provided no support or protection for buyers. It seems that anyone can create an auction account and sell items without proper vetting, leaving buyers completely exposed to scams.
Very unfortunate experience overall — I strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution when bidding through Easy Live Auction and avoid A1 Collectables Antiques Auctions altogether.
Terrible customer service (Chrislyn)
Superb auctioneer support!

Unreliable in a fast moving auction.
I am leaving an extra star because they did respond quickly and responded to a follow up email which gave me their version of the bidding. They say I bid for three items. For two of those it is true and for one it is recorded accurately, another one they say I bid about a third of what I did and was outbid, immediately after the bid it said I had bought the item. The third item I did not bid on yet they say I had the winning bid.
In the afternoon I went to the same sale in person to bid on another item. This is was an auction with over 800 items, a lot getting no bids or going for £5 or less. On average they were going through at about one item every 30 seconds although for some of the "valuable" items it slowed. I observed a long pause as they tried to sort out a problem with an argument about an internet bid for a high cost item. A screen showed the internet bids coming in and it was chaotic, the hammer went down and then there was another internet bid, the hammer went up and bidding resumed.
There is no way I would ever use this site again. This time I was lucky because the item I didn't bit on is something I can use. But next time I would probably end up with a collection of books by Nadine Dorries for half a million, when I had actually bid on a Ming Vase.
This is a warning against Easylive!
This is a warning for anyone thinking of joining easylive as an auction platform!
I have had a terrible experience with them.
There are a lot of problems with their services in my opinion.
Looking back over the last year I spent a huge amount of money time and effort and frankly I am very relived that I have got out of their grasp. The system was just an endless billing process from them for basic services which I couldn’t get to work without days of studying!
Their system is incredibly poor and complicated and they charge you so much and unless you pay your basically not visible to customers.
So beware very expensive and very difficult to use and the training was short rude and limited. If you don’t get it they start charging for training you in their systems when you have already paid them!
So my advice stay away from easylive if you are an auctioneer needing a platform!!
Don't tell me I've won when I haven't
Don't tell me I've won when I haven't. I would have bid higher if I wasn't sat there thinking I'd got my partner a lovely present on behalf of our 18 month old girl...PS she's a very well regarded nurse, did you bang your pots and pans!

NEVER EVER EVER GOT MY ITEMS !
NEVER EVER EVER GOT MY ITEMS !
They created a Royal Mail tracking number but never ever ever sent it ! , they need the money more than I do obviously 🙄.
If you look they get the same people to leave positive reviews from there last negative reviews over and over again to try to get there % rating up , on the 21st to the 22nd about 30 people left reviews? (Very odd ) lol 😂.
Just watch your money with these as in the end they will hold all your items you won and not send them until they think they are up !.
I won a smashed clock (threw it in bin 🗑️ when i unwrapped it !) & won a JVC camcorder that was collected from a dump I found out ? , they apparently sell many many items from the dump as someone has told me who has similar problems and experience as to what I have .

Easily the best auction site.....very user friendly and well laid out.....beats the Saleroom in to a cocked hat.
In fact If I am doing a search on Saleroom I check if its also on Easylive.....because its so much easier.
Not sure why Auction houses go on Saleroom....the lay out is terrible AND its more expensive....I really don`t get it.

I am not quite sure…. Is it easy live, or….
Is it liskeard auctions…..something is definitely not right! A lot of people have commented on this too!….
Is there anyway this auction can be monitored?
Appalling service
Appalling service, via mobile phone, their site kept crashing and the live bidding chance was missed, my mobile worked well in every other way, and they wouldn't accept any responsibility.
Avoid
Great Site
Great Site, Fairly easy to use, But I find the essential information hard to find, Eg Payment information for selling, I can't find a Ledger of my sold items anywhere...
There seems to be a 'Lull in communication' between the Auction House and Easylive, And often essential information is missed
Very efficient service
Very efficient service. Overall very helpful from condition, extra phots etc and swift in packing and sending goods. Excellent staff.
How it should be.
Not only is this site super easy to use but their customer service second to none.
Service industries should take a leaf out of this company’s book.
Brilliant.
Horrible auctioneers protected by…
Horrible auctioneers protected by spineless customer service. First the auction houses take ages to reply after payment. One auction house (Sheffield gallery) was also lax in sorting our shipping. Mixed up it's payment. Upon offering to wait to sort out the transaction with the bank or cancellation altogether, they place a unilateral block and demand me to use credit card instead. I state my dissatisfaction at their behaviour and pause everything till an apology is offered as at no step did I state non-payment. First they throw me the non-sense that I am legally bound to buy but then they cancel the sale when they see I am not budging without apology (it was just one small cheap lot, I am sure they were making a statement). They had dug their heels as did I. They spam my inbox when I clearly asked them that I will not entertain any communication without express apology first. I take the matter to easylive out of contempt to ask them to cease and desist and help me recover my goods and remove the block for the auction house's misdemeanor. I had sent the screenshots of the mail trail. But then they stall saying that they would prefer I forward the mail string to them instead (strange? As the screenshots clearly showed the time stamps and sequence). Then they have the gall to tell me that I apologise and offer to pay something more as a goodwill gesture. I lost my mind and clarified the situation again. They then abruptly close the case without either removing the block or any other solution despite my multiple offers to help resolve the situation. They give no explanation and only promise me to send a cease and desist email which they clearly didn't as the auction house had again mailed to me just to irritate and surmonize. I have run out of patience. This was a waste of time, money and mental peace. A bunch of egotistical thieves run amok without accountability. They will never get another pound from me and I would suggest you to be wary with parting with yours for this lot
Decent site let down by 2 big issues
The actual site generally works well. I buy a lot. However their relationship with the 100s of Auction houses appears highly unregulated and totally hit and miss. The Auction houses can pretty much do as they please. The biggest 2 issues being extremely inflated packing and posting charges being slapped on items by auction houses. There are no controls in place so each Auction house can charge and use what they want. After you've paid them commission often of 30%, many places will take several times the actual postage costs to pack and send. Something needs to be done to reign this in.
Number 2..The auction houses can simply block you from ALL the other auction houses on the platform for whatever reason they want and no matters who's at fault. Easy Auction will do nothing to help. No investigation, no help.
These issues must be sorted out because the customer is being let down.
Customer service is shocking
Customer service is shocking. They said I bid on a lot which was impossible for me to do as was on a long drive and have witnesses to this. Contacted auction house which wasn’t helpful. Made to pay and take a lot I didn’t even want and didn’t bid on. I will never use again as they are always right and customer always wrong 😡😡😡
Not impressed with the supporting…
Not impressed with the supporting services regarding my account block & a friend used my address that affects my account now. They requested all documents like you are going to UK border or applying for British citizenship. I gave all the details and Easy Live Auction services answer irresponsibly that they are still unable to confirm it is not me?! And now they ask me to ask my friend to give all documents to check . It is absurd!!! I have to give up as it is such a wasting time to deal with ‘machine’ style support. There are so many platforms I can use or join the auction directly.
