Never again

I decided to give Eversure a try after my daughter had successfully used them earlier this year. Unfortunately my experience was not as good, insofar as I inadvertently paid twice but in both cases, no documentation was received. I opened up a case online and despite repeated emails from myself, no correspondence was received from Eversure. Eventually on the day prior to taking the hire car, I cancelled both of the policies and requested a refund, not a lot £32 but it is the principle.
Personally I will not entertain using Eversure again as they seem to lack the common decency to respond!

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our service.

We understand that delays can be frustrating. Due to a high volume of enquiries at the moment, our processing times are currently longer than usual. We appreciate your patience in the meantime and are working hard to get back to you as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Extremely happy with claims process

Settlement for the damage to the hire car was agreed within 7 days with no hassle or unnecessary backwards and forwards. Slick claim submission process (provided you know how to upload documents and photos) and overall a very satisfactory experience. UPDATE payment received in my bank the day after settlement agreed and just 5 working days after claim submitted.

Members assistance abysmal

With 2 days left to renew my policy I went on line to do so. It was a Saturday and unfortunately I forgot my password but the system was unable to offer any assistance to solve the problem. After entering my email address and clicking ‘forgot password’ it directed me back to entering email address and clicking ‘forgot password’. This I repeated numerous times. Clearly an organisation that does not work 24/7 for its members who then informed me 5 days later that my policy had lapsed.

Have a clear tactic to delay and…

Have a clear tactic to delay and frustrate clear cut claims with more than expected documentation. E.G more detailed invoice of damages (damaged tyre & pic provided & costing document from rental company) Itemised CDW price. Not happy with rental agreement, looking for itemisation on the day of hire. Bear in mind the damage is well under any normally CDW fee. They also deal with rental companies daily and know the CDW fee. If they were reviewed independently they would be fined.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy.
Please note, every company and every rental agreement is different - customers can agree to pay differing amounts of excess following damages so there is no standard fee for CDW.
The claims team will require a detailed invoice to know what it is you have been charged for, we do not cover for all instances of damage.
Kind regards,
Charli

Terrible company they never reply to contact form enquiries

Terrible company I have tried to contact them several times using the contact form. They never reply. I am trying to cancel a standing order, which it seems is a recurring one and I have no way of stopping it. I do not need the car hire excess policy any longer and am trying to get a refund of the premium they have just collected

Belated review but took out car hire…

Belated review but took out car hire excess insurance with this company, had an accidental misfueling problem with my rental. Rental company provided a detailed itemised bill of all the work done to fix the car, company asked for more details beyond what was a very clear bill. Rental company could not comply as car was fixed and they refused to pay anything out. I felt the documentation provided by the rental company was reasonable and detailed enough. Never again.

Hi Mohammed,
Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy.
The claims team do require a detailed invoice, as there are some parts we do not cover the cost of. Please see below for examples of such charges:
• any claim for repairs to the engine and any associated parts.
• any claim for costs associated with a missed departure.
• any claim for replacement fuel.
What we do cover for under the policy is:
• draining the contaminated fuel and flushing the engine.
• additional travel expenses.
• Towing costs.

Therefore, if the costs were not outlined in much detail, the claims team would not know what parts they can or cant cover.
Kind regards,
Charli

Very reliable company

Over many years , This policy has always provided us with a surety of a reasonable hire price without the varying 'extras' the majority of hire companies try to sell you.
We have recently purchased a car in Spain and no longer need the protection,
Tilly was very helpful and efficient with our query

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed. We took out our policy on the recommendation of the Martin Lewis website. We had a minor scratch on our car and provided all documents requested. Further paperwork was requested above that provided just to show the admin charge. If they had read the contract provided they would have seen this was very clearly set out.

Will not be using them again.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy.
You would need to please raise this with the claims department, they would have requested additional documents if this was required in order to complete your review.
Kind regards,

One day, all insurance companies will be like this (we hope)

I’ve claimed twice - once for a new tyre and once having scratched the car whilst parking. Both times, Eversure paid out without demure. If only all insurance companies could be like this! Also, they are very friendly and helpful.
If you do need to claim, make sure you keep all your receipts and documents and take lots of photos.
Getting annual excess insurance is such a no brainer, I’m amazed that I still see people buying the rip off insurance from the car hire company when they’re getting their car.

Excellent

Had got annual car excess insurance - after seeing recommendations. Has given us great peace of mind when renting cars abroad. Competitively priced and very good to get renewal discount. This year I wanted to change some elements - excellent customer service from Chloe. Very proactive and helpful. Thank you
