This program sucks. It was harder to use than most, the people I know that can use it are literally graphic designers. And they are a terrible company to work with. Subscriptions not clear - charged unexpectedly
Paid for 1 month as I can usually get by with the free product, but needed a specific image. Went in to my account info before the end of the month to cancel, and could not see this option anywhere, plus it offered me the pro upgrade. Decided I must have just bought 1 month standalone. Then got charged, I immediately asked to cancel and refund and they refused.

Excellent customer support team experience
I contacted Canva’s support team today and was genuinely impressed by how quickly and kindly they handled my request. The customer service experience was seamless, they were responsive, understanding, and went out of their way to help.

PHOTO EDITING IS GOOD BUT VIDEO EDITING IS SLOW AND LAGGY
Canva photo editing is good. I have loved the platform for a long time and it has made it very easy to create graphics and different types of social media marketing assets. Although, the video editing is pretty poor. And I believe it's because they are trying to save money and cut corners. You would think that a billion dollar company would have quicker upload speeds for uploading video content and clips. Takes about 5 minutes for a 5 second video to upload to the file tab to then use in the video. Nevermind getting proper clips that go for 30 seconds+. And it's certainly not my WIFI that is the problem. Additionally, there is constant lag when the audio and visuals are separated. This means you don't know if they are genuinely out of sync, or if it's just Canva being slow... so you have to restart every small clip within the video to ensure it's Canva laggy platform, not your editing. Very annoying. This just makes the editing workflow clunky and time consuming. Pretty poor effort in my opinion. Canva used to be great. But I feel as though they are getting worse, yet looking for more money. Yes, I'm a paying subscriber, but I'm seriously considering switching platforms, as I do more video editing than photo editing now. If there isn't further investment in the platform's video editing capabilities, I will most likely cancel my subscription.

Very frustrating user interface.
a lot of common functionality is hard to use or doesn't work.
For example you cannot place a picture within a frame and manipulate the cross section of the picture with the frame. Its best fit or nothing at all.
Another extremely frustrating limitation with Canva is the inability to lock the position of textboxes.
Adding a new line to a textbox will shift its position providing controls to pin the textbox position so it does not shift or move is not technically challenging and is expected.
Generally if you have the money, anything built by Adobe has better features.

Domain Name Renewal
UPDATE
The website is now up and loaded as after I told them I was posting here the renewal link appeared.
I have used this site for many years, I find easy to navigate and create excellent posters etc..so when I launched my own women's football team I used Canva to create all our media, including a Website.
When it came to publishing it we had the option to pay £16.99 for a Domain name. As we were registering with the FA and wanted to come across as a serious club we decided to do just that.
Fast forward to September and we received notification that our renewal was due on 1/10/2025. The website had generated new players so we paid the renewal fee.
Imagine our shock a few weeks later that we had been Refunded!!!
I contacted Canva who offered no explanation as to why this had happened, maybe I should wait until the expiry date and then the renewal button will appear on our account and we can renew.
The 1st of October came and no button appeared. I again chased Canva who said perhaps I should wait until the 1st October had passed and then there will be a reminder and a chance to renew.
So this morning this is the situation
NO button to renew
NO Website
This is the start of the Football Season for us and we have lost 12 months of hard work building a much needed website.
As it stands I would not recommend Canva if you want to buy a Domain name...

Experience Not Good with the Canva Website Feature.
I purchased Canva Pro just to release that its website designing feature is not as good as it believed to be specially the embed part.
When you try to embed the HTML code from your canva website let us say for Homepage to Wordpress website.
It causes a problem of not being able to hide the panel controls. People who are visiting the website might fall into an impression that the website is just an embed but not designed in the background.

Don't expect them to help you when their system regularly fails! They will for sure send the problem back to us, - letting us know that it's our browser, it's this or that. T
They will often not read the mail with the link to the problem - but asks us to send a link through some time consuming form, - after we've asked for help, send screenshots or links directly to them.
I've never throughout +10 years received ANY help from them.
Despite being a paying customer.
You are for sure on your own, when we use this platform.
I bet "Alex" is AI because it's like speaking to a robot. Yet he is not helpful or as intelligent as AI🤦🏼♀️
