Bad mannered rude staff

Bad mannered rude staff . Remember staff you shop is niche but you are not . Your jumped up shop assistants who do not value your job or customers. Head office needs to sack those who work there & get new staff ,before you loss all your shop sales . No one wants to buy from a shop with staff like this that "attempt " to serve you . Change your staff & your shop will florish.

We came in to buy Fathom V by Beaufort…

We came in to buy Fathom V by Beaufort but asked the sales assistant (short Asian girl with bleach blond hair) if could smell the three new releases from this line first. She slammed them down in front of us and walked away. We smelled them then waited for her to come back so we could order and pay instead she just stood in front of us texting actively ignoring us. In the end we just walked out.

Good & not so good

The young guy that served me was extremely helpful, friendly and polite. He helped me find exactly what I wanted. He personally would have got five stars, what let him down was a lack of training in a simple matter, I paid partly with a gift voucher & partly card. His manager had no such politeness to him and didn't even acknowledge me when she instructed him how to complete the transaction.

Avoid this place at all costs - staff are RUDE

Oh avoid this place at all costs! The staff are so rude. I was “served” by a young woman who basically was so unhelpful and made me feel as though I was wasting her time. She spoke so quietly I couldn’t hear her and kept having to ask her to repeat what she was saying.

Then she berated me for not knowing what I wanted, telling me that I had to tell her how each scent made me feel otherwise she couldn’t help me and that unless I was planning on buying more than one bottle there was no point her suggesting different fragrances as this would confuse me.

She was passive aggressive, pompous, rude and I would NEVER give Bloom any of my money.

They treat you like dirt. It’s honestly like a hidden camera show it’s that unbelievable.

Horrible staff, horrible experience. Spend your money elsewhere!!

Went to the shop in Covent Garden ready…

Went to the shop in Covent Garden ready to purchase a niche perfume. The sales assistants were so obnoxiously rude and snooty acting like wealthy divas when everyone knows they are likely on minimum wage. As a niche perfume collector, I do not recommend this awful shop to anyone. Disgusting experience.

Rudeness matched only by their Arrogance.

The staff here are so rude it's almost funny. The thing is, they've always been like this, having visited this shop about three times over a six year period: different face - same attitude. This time we were exposed to a young woman who plainly hated the public, and/or her job. She was trying to polish bottles to avoid serving anyone, but that only held up for so long, then she shot us the direst face and pointed to the far end of the counter - that was instead of "good afternoon - how are you - let me serve you over here please" - which would have necessitated the three things we found she definitely wasn't going to offer unless forced: verbal communication, common courtesy, and a smile.

My partner asked about a particular scent - Habanita. She tried to engage the girl to discover if the scent had been reformulated since it's introduction around 1930. The girl had no idea and couldn't be bothered to hide her ignorance or her disinterest in finding out. Then she delivered her coup de grâce. She said "Have you been using it since 1930?". Her implication being that my partner might be over 100 years old. The insult is off any scale I can adequately communicate. Truely, astonishingly insulting. We would have complained to the manageress, but we've been around the track & know this to be the 'culture' of this place. Such seething hostility and blank, casual rudeness in a small place like this comes from the top down. So we kept our money and walked out. They've had three chances now. Two too many. We won't be back. Ever. We recommend you keep your money, and your self respect intact, and go elsewhere.

I bought 4x 1ml samples shipping was $98

I bought 4 1ml samples, and when I got to checkout, they charged $98 CAD to ship to me in Canada. I didn’t notice the cost until I checked my bank. I couldn’t get a refund, they said no. I am low income, and saved up for those samples alone. Only last year Nov 2024, when I had money, I got a full 50 ml perfume, with two books im the package, and it only cost $22 CAD to ship. Someone should look into it, they are obviously making major profit just on shipping. Also, 3 of my bottles leaked, almost half.

So sad they did this, the US is just as bad, and I’m like an hour from them (USA) LOL so wrong.
Just use it as a site to review or listen to scent descriptions. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. RIP OFF
Im so sad. I love perfume, and for now while on bed rest, samples is all I can get. This really frustrated me, and heart my feelings. A lot

Horrible experience at Bloom

I recently visited Bloom Perfumery. I was really excited because I love niche perfumes but the experience I had there was terrible. The shop assistant who was meant to be assisting me (a medium-tall asian girl with long hair tied up) was very standoffish and had a bad attitude, like she was doing me a favour by bringing out perfumes. Also she didn't have the depth of knowledge I would expect from a higher end niche perfume shop as she couldn't make many suggestions or even discuss the notes of the perfumes. On top of that, I asked about chai note perfumes after having asked about perfumes with earl grey notes, and she rudely pointed out chai isn't the same as earl grey - which obviously i know, but she demonstrated she hadn't been listening to my original request of "tea notes such as black tea OR earl grey OR chai" - and then was trying to make the customer feel stupid for requesting certain notes. She was unfriendly, standoffish and honestly did not seem like she wanted to be there (and probably should not have been there)- like mate, if it's not for you, get another job then yeah?

It's such a shame because I had such high expectations about Bloom Perfumery. And next to us there was a shop assistant with medium length dyed red hair who was serving her customers who seemed lovely - she was making lots of suggestion to her customers, bringing out lots of bottle for them to try & was very knowledgeably talking about the perfumes with them. I really wish I had gotten her as the person who was assisting me instead of the unknowledgeable, unfriendly, low-performing one I had.

Bloom's business model seems to be all about getting shop assistants to assist people in choosing perfumes rather than letting them browse freely. That's fine but why on earth are you employing people who can't perform in their jobs? The girl who served me was lacking in both knowledge and basic decent customer service - I don't require all smiles but politeness instead of rudeness would be a start. Bloom needs to either retrain their low performing staff or fire them and replace them with better people.

I think based on my experience I will stick to buying niche perfumes at Jovoy Mayfair - it's a much more luxurious store & shopping experience, you can browse freely, the customer service is fantastic and knowledgeable and the samples are cheaper. What's not to like? Bloom Perfumery, if you hope to compete with Jovoy then please invest in customer training for your shop assistants or do something about your low-performing shop assistants.

Their low quality customer service is an ongoing issue (just look at the 1 star Google reviews posted by other people) and I would strongly advise against visiting them until they sort their sh*t out - alas their management does not want to do anything. Very disappointed with my experience at Bloom!

Best perfume shop in London

I've never had a bad experience with this shop/website, The complete opposite in fact. I've been into the shop and also bought loads of samples online and never had anything other than a stellar experience and great communication both via instagram and email. The sample pack monthly subscription was great fun.

My only minor quibble is that on the website they leave up perfumes which are no longer in stock and not likely to be restocked (eg if they have been discontinued) .

They deal with exclusive perfumes and very often have a monopoly. I phoned about their excessive delivery charges and was told they get great reviews and couldn't care less about my feedback. I see their great reviews must be these one star reviews.

If there was an option where i can take…

If there was an option where i can take off all stars i would. The customer service is just rude and unresponsive, no manners. We have bought perfume from them and they have messed up the delivery and now they just pointing fingers at other, waiting for some replies, not giving us time scales, it is just not professional customer care. To be honest it come to the stage where i just do not want to email them i just going to get money back from bank making a charge back request, that's how bad it is. Manager is very rude, unresponsive and unprofessional. Please all people if you ready to purchase any items from there, just consider those reviews.

They have failed to reply even though I’m looking to purchase a very expensive scent.
