We have a network of DSA accredited centres located across England and Wales and we aim to offer appointments within 2-3 days from the time you get in touch with us. In exceptional circumstances and with the Funder’s permission we can visit you at home.

I would definitely recommend ATOP!
I would recommend ATOP. The service has been outstanding and the process has been fast. From the moment I begun filling in an online form for a disability assessment, someone contacted me to see they could see my form and would I like to arrange a phone call. The person I spoke to was very helpful and friendly and got me booked in for a telephone assessment. John, completed my assessment on the telephone and he was professional and patient.

Friendly and Understanding
I opted for the remote assessment because of my busy schedule and I found the assessor to be incredibly friendly and understanding. She listend to all my concerns and provide some great insight into what technologies I could use to support my needs. I chose a remote assessment. I found the process excellent and felt Robert listened to what I felt my support needs were. I also had a chance to comment on the draft report. he identified a range of strategies that will really help me if its all funded. it was a very positive experience and I felt listened too. thank you.

Sheila was amazing!! She listened to everything I said, she was patient, calm, collected and talked me through the whole appointment. She went into detail about what was available to me and also gave me recommendations based on myself and previous experiences. She was incredible. A great asset to Atop!

Really nice experience with atop for disabled student allowance. The lady was super friendly and helpful, and scheduling the day and type (phone, face to face, email) of assessment was very easy. It didn't feel like an assessment, but just a few questions asking how I dealt with parts of university life and work, which is exactly what it was. I didn't feel pressured or worried I would say anything 'wrong'. As someone with anxiety I am very pleased and would want them again.

From the moment I was referred too ATOP I had a very nice experience, the staff were friendly and supportive and understanding. They guided me through the process and explained what would happen and how the support could help during my consultation. Sheila Watts recently did a telephone assessment for my Daughter .
Sheila was unbelievably patient, professional , understanding , friendly and put us at ease from the very start which helped identify all my Daughters needs. She thoroughly explained everything to us both. All the support my Daughter will need was addressed and will undoubtedly help her succeed on a University placement she has after years of struggling with numerous mental health problems.
We are both so extremely grateful.

I felt so at ease during my assessment
I felt so at ease during my assessment. I spoke to a lovely lady called Becky who was super helpful. I felt really comfortable speaking to her about my difficulties and she seemed to put a lot of effort into trying to get the best outcome for me! Brilliant service!

By the time I got the call to the time I ended it I was helped tremendously by the people at ATOP especially the guy who helped me who I will not name for privacy reasons but thanks to these people I might be alright when I get to university

I struggle with dealing with other…
I struggle with dealing with other people and benefits etc especially remotely . Student support has been helping me with most but when I got to assessment ATop we’re the second I contacted. The first was more local to me , but I had problems sending emails of evidence , eventually sending these to the lady dealing with me direct. I waited two weeks and eventually rang again to be informed that they had no evidence of me and the lady I’d spoke with didn’t work there anymore.
Mid meltdown I clicked and started with the ATop link to stop halfway.
Next day I got a call from “ Sharon” about my attemp and if they could help!
Amazing service meant less than two weeks later I’m all ready for university with the support available.

ATOP- they have been amazing
ATOP- they have been amazing, helping me with all my needs for me to be comfortable at university. They offer a wide range of equipment to help with learning in university. I’m extremely happy with how they have been kind and very helpful to me, explaining what I needed in a way that I understand.

My son has recently had an assessment with Becky Clegg to support his transition to university. Becky was fantastic in the assessment, kind , patient and really took the time to get to know my son and his assessment report is so well written and covers everything. Upon receiving the report letter through I also contacted Becky for further help and nothing has been too much trouble, she has been so helpful.
