I required an assessment with this company to get help from Disabled students allowance from mental health problems. I found it difficult and confusing to give them the information they required book in on the assessment. After weeks of trying I gave them the required information and they started the assessment process. Due to the delay in getting support my studies and mental health went down hill severely. I cut off from the world for my piece of mind. When I was relaxed enough to function properly I phoned to see what had happened to my appointment. The lady at Atop said my appointment had been cancelled due to them not being able to contact me. I have had to quit university due to my mental health making it impossible to get any type of support. I will try going back to university next year and putting things in place as soon as possible as a high priority. Its sad that my poor mental health meant that no support could be offered as I couldn't fit into there administrative system.

I really can't fault the process or anyone on the team at all. I left it very late in the year, and everyone couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I contacted ATOP after my initial needs assessment centre closed. I was able to submit all of my information through a portal online. I was then contacted the next day to arrange an appointment. I was given the option of face to face or online via zoom. The assessor I was paired with (John Maher) was incredibly knowledgable. He helped me to go through all of my requirements of my degree and how they could find equipment and support for my various needs. He provided me with videos of new equipment and software prior to the meeting so that I could review them and see whether they would be suitable for me. My initial needs assessment was also reviewed to see if there were any amendments that could be made. I honestly have had such a positive experience with ATOP. They have been incredibly responsive to emails and any questions or concerns were dealt with in a very timely manner.

I had a really great experience with ATOP. My assessor was really clear during the assessment and was really helpful in making sure that I got the right support for me and my university experience. He definitely put my mind at ease after feeling slightly nervous about the phone call but honestly I had nothing to worry about! Really helpful.

Andrea my assessor made me feel at ease right from the word go. She had read through what I had emailed before my assessment, she had a great understanding of my disability and could relate to the struggles of having dyslexia.
