My cat loves this food. It's natural and no fillers and she is so fussy so I am glad to find something she always finishes. They have so many flavour options and she is always satisfied!

Not what it said on the tin…

I bought my cat her favourite tuna with seaweed, only to find it had been mislabelled and only contained tuna.
I contacted company and they took ages to replied, and since then have done absolutely nothing. I sent photo and video evidence, with the labels and batch number. Nothing.
I informed them that having a different recipe than that which it states on the tin is also dangerous, for allergy reasons. Plus the fact that this was not what I paid for.
I've just emailed again, though I doubt I'll get a response. Time to find my car a new favourite,as this company clearly don't care about their customers or animals.

Something Has Changed In The Recipe

Sadly, my cat who has enjoyed eating this brand for a while now, suddenly refused to even lick the latest tinned food. Even her absolute favourite of tuna went untouched. No amount of persuasion or persistence would work with any of the flavours in the recent multipack. A real waste of a lot of money!! I emailed the company to ask if anything has changed and was advised that the recipes can change slightly, due to seasonal variation of ingredients, but it’s very odd that my cat won’t touch any flavour of the tins from the variety multipack. Make of that what you will. I now have a great number of tins of unusable food and have lost confidence in the brand.

Really great product

Really great product, my cats love chicken flavour. I wish they have more chicken products in the range. I would recommend for anyone looking for quality product at a really good price.

Gave my cat Applaws Tuna Fillet in…

Gave my cat Applaws Tuna Fillet in gravy and she got so bloated and nauseous. She's only been going from her water dish to laying on the floor next to it. She peed outside her litter which isn't like her and looks like it's gonna be a vet visit now.

The applaws tins have a lot more rice…

The applaws tins have a lot more rice added - about which I have written to Applaws who replied saying - some tims may have more rice than others because they can't control how much is put in. Not good enough. However, I have found my cat has now become allergic to the tins. Don't yet know about the sachets but if likewise I will find a more suitable food.

I'm getting more and more dissatisfied…

I'm getting more and more dissatisfied with this brand. They seem to be packing more and more rice into the cat food these days and therefore reducing the amount of meat/fish. This cannot be good for the cats, you don't see them seeking out rice to eat in the wild.

NOT JUST PACKAGING CHANGE

Since you changed the packaging my cat will no longer eat the tuna loins. he has eaten them for 2 yrs and now wont touch them. The quality is also a lot worse as I felt it too.Why ruin a great product, just for bottom line profits. Even my cat can't be fooled.

I have purchased applaws natural tinned…

I have purchased applaws natural tinned in broth my little Jazzy loves it, I prefer it to any purina products with contain high carbohydrates & very unhealthy to elderly cats, I learned to late that mass produced cat foods lead to seizures & heart breaking problems, I hope this product is as natural as it says. My baby is only a year old, as I said loves it. Do not want to see a healthy 17 Yr old cat decline in a way as my Daisy & eventually lose her mind. I want to do the best for my baby & hope she doesn't suffer the same. But natural products all the way for me, just wish they wouldn't put too much crap in food (same as humans) but we have a choice our furbabies rely on us. So far this is great. Not tried other products yet but meat/cheese in broth my Jazzy has all paws up. 😍

Not even starving cats will eat it.

I have a cat who is always on a diet and I always give him the best recommended food by the veterinarian. Recently I decided to switch it up a bit for him and I bought Applaws. I don't know if people can see emotions on a cat's face, but his was filled with disgust when he smelled it.
I thought "that's ok, I can feed the stray cats even if it was so expensive". But guess what? There are 7 stray cats that come to my yard on an almost daily basis and they're always starving. Those cats ate the £3/5KG bag(very, very cheap and obviously poor quality) food I bought for them when I couldn't afford better. They never complained, they were happy to have something in their belly.
But not even one of those 7 cats was able to eat Applaws. I wonder if it's even edible or they're just wood pellets with flavouring.

Carrageenan

The cats have been on the tins and pouches for a few years and love a couple of varieties like the tuna and crab and chicken and cheese. However, I recently found that the "gelling agent" they use is carrageenan, which is associated with gastro related issues and inflammation. I thought this was really good for them, but after trying them on another brand I've seen an increase in energy and more excitement at dinner time. The gelling agent isn't in the broth varieties so I might still treat them to the crab and tuna on special occasions as they do really love that, but I won't touch the others now. Honestly disappointed in how it's hidden behind "gelling agent".

Applaws has completely changed my cat's behavior!!

Since introducing Applaws Chicken Breast tinned meals to my young rescue cat, Minnie, her behavior has completely changed. I am convinced the natural goodness of this product helps towards her whole demeanor, she is less anxious, her temperament has softened and her aggression has ceased. Thank you!

By far the best!

Applaws products in broth I would most highly recommend! When my cat was a kitten he selected it. He, much adored and being a lover of varied menus( !) I have also tried another natural brand he likes occasionally. However, I have noticed his fur change .. with Applaws diet his fur is more shiny and softer .. I love Applaws products and my only disappointment is that more stores don’t stock! I tend to but online from Waitrose. Bravo Applaws !! We love it !!
